Contract After Contract

The next morning I get a call from Banner telling me to come over to talk about the contract. I sigh as I get dressed and pop over to their front door and knock.

Betty opens the door with a face that says 'Ugh' "Hello Lucifer."

I smile at her calling me by that name, having called me Mr. Morningstar the day before. Ah, truly a good woman, "Banner called."

She nods and opens the door wider to let me pass. "Yes, please come in."

I walk past her and see Banner sitting on the couch having just put out coffee along with the contract rolled out on the table. I nod to him as a thank you "Don't mind if I do, it is still pretty early."

As I sit down he meets my eyes, "My main concern with the contract is with being the envoy of wrath. What is it you want me to do?"

"Ah, I see. Yes that could seem disconcerting. So right now I have a contract in the works with a powerful woman. I will become the protector of this world if she ends up accepting my proposal. As I said, I can't always be here, there are times I can't protect it. So I need people here to protect it in my stead. You would be one of them." I say as I sip on my coffee.

Betty stands behind him and rubs his shoulder as he thinks. She leans in and says "I think you should accept."

He looks at her a bit shocked, "But, it would be dangerous."

She wraps her arms around him, "It would be even more dangerous without his help. We still don't know how we would deal with my father. I think it would be best to side with him, even if it cost twice as much. You turning into the green man permanently is not much of a problem since he will give you the power to shift forms."

I shrug, "I gave you a very fair deal since you are valuable to me. I can easily take care of your father Ms. Ross. I am… 'friends' with the president after all."

Betty laughs a bit "I knew he sold his soul." I smile but don't confirm or deny.

Banner looks at me seriously "Will there be any downfalls from changing forms? Any restrictions?"

I nod "Let me explain more clearly. You will have 3 forms to change into. The mixture between you and the beast will be your natural form and most comfortable. Changing into fully human will make you feel uncomfortable but not back… since it isn't your true form. The third form is the demonification. It is a byproduct of using Wrath, your power will enhance and your skin will turn red. You'll get other features but I don't know until you do it."

He nods and without hesitation turns the contract around and signs it. The second he signs it he begins yelling as he grows in size and his skin turns green. Betty grabs him to make sure he is alright but I just sit there staring.

After finishing the transformation he just lays there unconscious not moving and only softly breathing. I step over and pick up his large body without trouble Betty follows me as I move him to the bedroom and toss him on the bed.

I turn to Betty "He will be out for a day at most. He just took in a lot of power and he has to merge his two minds so it may be longer than that if he is weak about it."

She nods as she caresses his new face, "Have you found your powers yet?" I ask curiously.

With a small smirk she holds out a hand and her hand turns to a claw. She makes an exaggerated expanding gesture and a large ball of pure chaos fire bursts to life. My brows raise in surprise.

"Chaos fire, it is quite potent, although quite strong it has a tenancy to run rampant so I don't like it very much."

Setting Bruce gently against a pillow a small smile comes to her face, "I hope to never use it, I would rather Bruce stays close and protects me."

I smirk, "I will get the gardens prepared for your wedding. Only a few weeks away." Seeing her still stare at Banner with love I feel that I'm in the way so I vanish from the room.

I appear this time outside the magic monastery in Kamar-Taj. I am changed into clothes that befit the village I am currently in. I am now wearing black robes with the demon rune for 'King" on the back written in crimson.

I bang on the door of the unassumingly small building. After a short time, a chunky man in monk robes opens the doors with a friendly smile on his face.

"What do you need?" He says with a small bow of his head.

"I am here to see The Ancient One, we have unfinished business."

He closes the door quickly but I hear him say, "One moment please." As it nearly slams.

I stand there patiently waiting, only twenty seconds later the door opens again and the same monk says, "Follow me." I nod and follow him inside.

The inside of the building is much larger than it appears on the outside as expected. The interior is modestly constructed of mainly wood and stonework like it was built hundreds of years ago. In the middle of a large room in front of a kettle resting over an open fire sits The Ancient One.

As she sees me walk in she nods "I have been expecting you, let us go somewhere more private." She gets up and starts walking away so I follow her much to the confusion of the other monk.

We enter a room that looks like an old-style office, the sides are full of racks each filled with scrolls. The sitting desk also has a few scrolls on it with one open one glowing with a golden and blue hue.

I stand over the desk looking at the scrolls as I speak "So you know why I am here today."

She nods "Through divination, I can see that you have punished the betrayer. Do you mind if I ask what you did?"

I sit on one of the cushions cross-legged as I put one knee and rest my arm on it. "Have you ever heard the stories of the Evil God Sett?"

Her eyebrows raise "You put him in an endless cycle of rebirth?"

I nod, "A cycle of torment, to never live a fulfilling life, to never be loved. To forever be mortal."

She sits down across from me "I see, that is indeed a suitable punishment."

I smile, "Now about the contract. Have you thought of your conditions?"

Her face tinges a bit red, "Yes I have, can you tell me what my duty would be as a Matron of Hell?"

"You would be representative of me. You would be my ambassador and in control of all the lower women. So all of the women that are not yet or not going to be wives but still serve me." I say with a serious face.

Seeing her linger in thought I speak again, "How about I let you take my number one woman as your apprentice?"

She smiles, "Why would I want the responsibility of another apprentice as a positive?"

I smile, "Because she has the most magical power of any human currently on the planet. She is connected to the Lightforce, and since the Lightforce doesn't have a dimension, that means her power can never be taken only cut."

The Ancients One's brows raise, "Odd I did not see her in my destiny."

I smirk while leaning towards her "Did you see me in your future?"

She smiles at my implications "No, sorry it's hard to see the futures of higher beings."

"Well in return for your work and love you are guaranteeing a safe future for this world, immortality, and power beyond what you can currently even see." I shamelessly tell her the positives without mentioning all the power I get out of it as well.

"And the contract expires the second I no longer consider you my husband correct?" She says rubbing her chin.

I nod, "Indeed you could only spend one night with me if you so desire. The best night of your life perhaps." I say with a lustful smile as I make a contract out of the air with the revised wordings.

With a smirk and roll of the eyes, she reads the new contract. With a slight nod, she pulls a quill out of thin air and signs the contract. I can feel the powers of my realms latch onto her with full force showing just how much power she holds alone. I see her head lean back as she takes a deep breath so full of magic that it is visible to the naked eye.

Now that we are attached I see that the power of the Dark Dimension is still trying to dig into her soul. Anger spreads on my face as I see the power pried off then force itself back on.

She sighs "I knew it wouldn't be that easy."

My face darkens as I walk next to her "I said I would so I will," my voice is cold and my face turns serious

I reach out and grab the dark bindings around her soul and follow the link to see the Dark Dimension.

I look at my new wife "Wait while I cull some trash, I needed a vacation anyway." I put my hand on her cheek. "You will be mine the SECOND I return."

She nods and looks like she is maintaining her composure well but still blushes slightly. I set my anchor on her to return to when I am done then I vanish.
