PART 25

At Newark Airport, a sleek black Cadillac crew parked with precision on the side of the road. Over a dozen brawny bodyguards surrounded the entourage, exuding a fierce aura that kept pedestrians at bay.

Only the elite of the elite took part in such grandeur. Rich business magnates or A-list celebrities, the onlookers mused from a distance, intrigued by the spectacle.

Suddenly, the exit stirred, and a group of burly men in black emerged, flanked by a man in a sharp suit. Passersby craned their necks for a better view.

He had a chiseled square face, a massive bald head, and stood almost six and a half feet tall. His bulging arms and round waist made him appear more like a huge tank than a human.

If anyone dared to challenge him and take off his jacket, they'd soon realize that those bodybuilding champions on TV were merely trash fighters.

Over 90% of his body was pure muscle.

The door of the Cadillac opened with a metallic click, and Wesley jumped out, adjusting his suit with precision as he greeted the boss with utmost respect and admiration.

This man in the sharp suit was none other than the King of the Underworld in New York - Kingpin .

The black Cadillac convoy cruised down the highway with Kingpin and Wesley sitting in the back seat, both staring out the window in silence.

Wesley was nervous as he had been entrusted with the gang's responsibilities by Kingpin, but things had gone awry in his absence. Kingpin and his subordinates had been asleep, causing chaos in the New York gang, and Jason had even taken credit for it.

Feeling ashamed, Wesley remained silent until Kingpin finally broke the silence.

"I heard he robbed the bikers last night?" Kingpin asked.

Wesley nodded, "Yes, twenty people died, and they lost $4 million worth of goods. They're scouring the streets looking for revenge."

"Jason doesn't have a shipping channel, so he must have sold it to someone else," Kingpin analyzed. "Check all the black market merchants in New York, especially those who have traded with Jason."

"OK," Wesley replied.

After a brief lull, Wesley mustered the courage to confess, "I'm sorry, boss. I told Jason about the bikie party."

"Why?" Kingpin asked, furrowing his brows.

Wesley then explained about his wife's infidelity and how Jason had leverage over him.

"The biker party's goods are only worth $4 million. Why didn't you tell him where our goods were hidden? That batch of goods is worth much more," Kingpin said sarcastically.

Wesley was indignant and replied sternly, "Jason didn't ask, and even if he did, I wouldn't tell him. Even if he spent the rest of his life in prison."

Kingpin laughed and patted Wesley on the shoulder, "As long as you don't sell out the gang or me, you'll always be my most loyal disciple."

"As for those bikers and the mafia, we'll deal with them eventually. Jason is just working for us."

Wesley then voiced his concern about the chaos in the gang and the possibility of infighting before Jason arrived.

"Don't worry. As long as I'm in New York, it'll never be chaotic," Kingpin declared confidently.

Wesley also brought up Mrs. Gao's desire to meet with Kingpin.

Kingpin's tone changed, "Invite her to the house, and bring out that box of Chinese tea to entertain her."

"Okay," Wesley replied, quickly arranging for the meeting.

The convoy drove all the way to Kingpin's mansion in Manhattan.

They arrived at the top-floor meeting room where Mrs. Gao, leaning on crutches and with wrinkles on her face, was sipping tea.

Kingpin's guards were present, bowing their heads and keeping their hands behind their backs, not daring to make any sound.

"Hello, Gao!" Kingpin greeted Mrs. Gao, smiling and speaking in broken Mandarin.

"Wilson, long time no see." Mrs. Gao stood up with a smile and addressed Kingpin by his real name.

After exchanging courtesies, the two sat down face to face like old friends who hadn't seen each other for many years, sipping tea and chatting.

"Wilson, I regret what happened to Vanessa, but from my perspective, Jason really did a good thing," Mrs. Gao stated.

Kingpin's pupils shrank, and anger began to build in his heart.

Mrs. Gao didn't seem to notice and continued, "Since Vanessa appeared, you were mesmerized by her. You didn't care about the gang or business. All you did was meet her for dinner and talk about art topics in the gallery."

"It's my fault. I've changed," Kingpin admitted his mistake, bowing his head.

Mrs. Gao nodded and said, "I know. You sent someone to kill Vanessa, which shows that you have woken up. I am very relieved."

"But I came to you today not because of Vanessa, but because of Jason."

Kingpin was puzzled, "Has Jason offended you?"

Mrs. Gao took a sip of tea and said, "Not yet, but hey, grass needs a stable market. If Jason continues to cause trouble like this, it will definitely harm our business, so I sent someone to take action."

Kingpin and Wesley were stunned. The police and the gang were going crazy trying to find Jason, but they couldn't even find his shadow. Yet Mrs. Gao found him so easily.

"Gao! Thank you very much." Kingpin became excited, "Please tell me the address, and I will send someone right away..."

"Wilson!" Mrs. Gao interrupted loudly and rudely, "What you have to do now is stabilize the situation in New York, not just grab Jason to satisfy your little ego."

Kingpin's face turned red, but he couldn't find anything to refute.

Mrs. Gao put down the teacup, looked at her watch, and said, "He should be here shortly."
