Marvel: A New God's Reign

I am not really that good at writing a synopsis but here goes nothing, * * * Synopsis : An ordinary soul is reincarnated in the Marvel multiverse as a New God, the son of Odin and the Phoenix Force. He is considered a mutant among gods and the messiah of the entire mutant race. He even has a suspicious system that makes him stronger way quicker than the rate gods are supposed to grow at. But all that doesn't matter. What matters is for him to survive and grow as strong as possible to survive the storm coming for him and maybe find a few people whom he can call friends and family. * * * Note : Alternate Universe(s) * * * You can also read chapters in advance by visiting my Pa-treon page, pat reon.com/God_Doom * * * You can also join my discord channel through this link: https://discord.gg/WYVfYe2KNS * * * Author's note : I do not own Marvel or any of its characters other than my own OC.

Chapter 96: The End of Mischief? (1)

---

"Being part of a family means smiling for photos"

- Harry Morgan, (Dexter)

<(Atem POV)>

"Come on, Atem, how much longer do we have to wait here for? You know, when I said I wanted to tuck in for the night, I meant either in a nice five-star hotel, back in my room, or preferably your room, not in some rundown motel where the only customers are hookers and shady drug dealers. Hell, even Thor got to sleep better than me with Jane in Erik's trailer. I can bet a hundred bucks that they even reached third base too. But look at me, I am still a virgin despite sleeping beside the most famous and hottest guy in the country. I thought Jean said you are the god of Domination, so why aren't you dominating me? Do you want me to beg for it?" Lorna grumbled playfully after waking up from her "beauty sleep" while using her magnetic powers to rotate her favorite metal coin in her hand at almost blinding speeds, a clear sign that she was extremely frustrated even though she was trying to hide it from her face.

"Stop overreacting, Lorna. You have been sleeping for almost the entire night without any discomfort. The enchantments I made to the bed and the room made sure of that. Yeah, I could have easily teleported you to a new hotel or even your own home but that would have defeated the purpose. I don't want Thor's brother, Loki to get even the slightest bit suspicious or worse, spooked about our presence here, otherwise he might not decide to do a few stupid things that I need him to do. That's why I am avoiding using too much magic. Although I am ninety-nine percent sure that he has no idea about my identity or the current events happening on Earth, I still don't want to take any chances. After all, I don't know if Asgardian magic can keep an eye on the entire city or not." I explained before closing my eyes to focus back on trying to study the different runes from my knowledge about Harry Potter-verse magic.

I was confident that Loki wouldn't be a problem for me since I was stronger than the classic version of comic Thor where the god of thunder could destroy entire planets with a blow of his hammer and all. But I was still trying to be cautious in not changing the plot of the movie too much because I wanted Loki to send the Destroyer here just like he did in MCU.

I remember reading in one of the comics in my previous life that the Destroyer was not actually a guardian or some sort of droid, but an armor made of pure Uru and designed for war. It was an armor that could not only be controlled remotely but could also be worn during battle to increase the user's power and durability to absurd levels. The armor was so powerful that it was an immense strain on Odin to keep wearing it but whenever he did wear it, his strength skyrocketed to the likes of a well-fed Galactus, enough to slay even Celestials. That was the reason why I decided to make it so that Odin no longer had access to the armor after today. I didn't want him to use it in a fight against me if a battle between us broke out. Also, since I didn't take Thor's Mjolnir, I decided that I might as well take the armor as a consolation prize for myself since the one made from Vibranium I took from Apocalypse was almost on the brink of collapse from overuse.

"You are so cruel. It's almost like you are trying to torment me by playing hard-to-get. Sigh Anyway, it's morning already, so Loki might attack anytime now. Do we have a plan or are we going to go blind with guns blazing? Because if we are, then I have a move I really want to try out. I got the idea from you when you told me about the different ways my father used his gift. It's pretty strong and I want to see if an Asgardian god can take its full might on his face." Lorna smirked as if she could already see the effects of her attack on Loki.

"I don't care if Loki comes to Earth or not, his presence is not important to my plans. Even if he chooses to hide in Asgard, I can just open a Hush tube to his location any time. What's important is that once you see a giant walking armor, you will use your power on it upon my signal and hold it down, preferably even twisting its limbs for added safety after which I will take care of the rest. Once you are done, you can enjoy the rest of the battles if there are any, however you want. And yes, I will agree to a proper date with you after that but only if you do well." Lorna, who was just about to interrupt me, quickly shut up once she heard my condition, a big victorious smile blooming on her face.

"Yes! I will lose my fucking virginity to a literal god. Even those devout nuns will have nothing on me. As for you, love, don't worry I am very wild in bed and much more active than the old professors who you usually sleep with. He he he he" She giggled dreamily as a drop of saliva escaped from the side of her mouth. "I promise you, once you go green, you will definitely go obscene." She said while flicking her dark green hair to her back.

"... Yeah... sure," I responded while looking in the direction of the town's diner. "Seems Thor and the others are up. And we even have a couple of extra guests as well. Lorna, get ready. It's finally time we do what we came here to do."

***

"Thor, you don't understand. Loki has let in all the frost giants of Jotunheim into Asgard. He is their new king after he killed Laufey using Gungnir and the Casket of Ancient Winters. After that, he took over the entirety of Asgard and since the All-Father has gone into Odinsleep, there is no one powerful enough to stop him, not even your mother, Lady Freyja. Now, Loki wants to cement his hold on the throne by destroying Asgard's enemy realms till there is no one left to question his reign. You have to do something, Thor. Loki had gone mad with power, and you are the only one strong enough to stop him. So, quit your useless yapping and pick up your hammer, otherwise, it will be too late for any of us." A beautiful warrior woman dressed in tight Viking armor with a red robe wrapped around her pleaded with a desperate look on her face.

"Sif is right, Thor. Billions of lives depend on you. The Bifrost can not only destroy planets but can also tear the fabric of the universe." A fat man with a long beard and braids who was one of the other three Asgardians dressed in Viking armor nodded grimly.

"Also, I am not trying to force you, but our deaths will be the first Loki will order in his royal decree once he knows about our betrayal." The second Viking warrior with the appearance of an Asian coughed with a nervous smile on his face.

"I get what you all are saying but I am a normal human now. If I could have picked up Mjolnir, I would have. I have already tried but I am simply not worthy anymore. However, that doesn't mean I can't help. I will talk to my brother. You said that he is on his way here, right? I am sure that once he hears some words of reason, he will definitely stop this madness." Thor argued. Even though he tried to sound confident, one could easily hear the powerlessness in his voice.

"No, he won't listen, Thor. And you probably know it too. He did all this to be king, to be worthy like you, and the only thing standing between him, and his goal right now is you. He WILL kill you if it gives him even the smallest chance to prove himself capable in front of everyone else. Talking won't do anything. The best we can do is put him down permanently or seal him for a couple of thousand years till he learns his lesson." I said as I walked up to the group followed by Lorna.

Of course, I preferred to kill Loki now to get rid of the threat permanently and worry about all the TVA shit later, but I doubt Thor would be happy if I said that, so I had to include the possibility of imprisoning the god of mischief as well.

Hearing my voice, all the new Asgardian arrivals turned to look at me with curious looks on their faces but since I was disguising myself to look like I was in normal civilian clothing including an 'I ❤️ Milfs' t-shirt and a pair of light blue jeans while Lorna was wearing a green dark moss green jacket, sea green top, and black jeans, their suspicious gaze diminished as they regarded us as normal humans like Erik, Jane, and Darcy standing behind Thor.

"The human is right. We need to be ready to do what needs to be done." The third male Viking warrior who seemed to be more good-looking than the others agreed with me although the way he dismissed me as a human was quite funny.

"I am not really a human. In fact, ... I am somewhat of a god myself. But that discussion should be reserved for later." I quickly added after noticing a look of surprise on all their faces along with their furrowing eyebrows that made it seem like they had dozens of questions to ask me. "Right now, we should focus on barricading the entire town and getting the residents here to safety. I don't want innocents to die as collateral if a fight breaks out between Loki and us." I said while forming a ball of blue Fiendfyre in my palms to erase any of their remaining doubts, making sure that they couldn't straight-up dismiss my words.

"You are... right, my friend. I do need to prepare for the possibility that Loki might not stop even if he does kill me. But please, just let me talk to him before you fight him. Let me at least try to bring him back to sanity. As a brother, that's the least I can do for him." Thor said after a few seconds of intense deliberation, his face contorted with sorrow at his brother's actions.

"Okay, I give you my word, Thor. I will only strive to kill him if he attacks first after having a conversation with you." I promised, knowing that a direct blast in the face from the Destroyer was exactly what was needed for Thor to "die" and his self-sacrifice bullshit to work so that he could get revived as the worthy and Mighty Thor again.

"So, now that we are done with discussing how to treat Loki once he arrives, should we finally start the evacuation? That tornado-like storm slowly forming in the sky means the magical portal thingy is opening again and Thor's stupid evil brother is coming, doesn't it?" Darcy who was carefully listening to the conversation asked while pointing the index finger of her left hand at the sky to catch our attention.

"I'll call Shield. I have their number. They can help as well." Jane Foster chimed in before giving a small encouraging nod towards Thor which the god of thunder acknowledged with a smile of his own.

"I'll help too." Erik groaned before following the Warrior Three to escort the civilians to an area safer than the town central while Sif, after witnessing Thor and Jane's exchange, just stared at their figures with complicated eyes.

<(Omniscient POV)>

"There is something wrong in this town, but I can't seem to point out what exactly," Loki who was wearing the destroyer armor with Odin's Gungnir in one of his hands muttered with a frown as he looked at the small settlement which seemed so empty that it almost looked like it had been deserted. "Hmm. Go and kill anyone you find, especially the Asgardians who defied my order and escaped. But remember, make sure not to kill my brother... He is mine." He commanded a small army of frost giants behind him with a wide smile on his face as dozens of blue-skinned giants riding on fur-covered white beasts rushed toward the town with bloodthirsty grins on their faces.

"My dear brother! Where are you? Come out and meet your new KING. HAHAHA." Loki laughed as he slowly began to walk through the town's entrance, having no idea just what was in store for a puny god like him.
