2.11 Tea Party

Silence covered the room as the police explained the situation.

"We don't have all day Mr. Sat, hurry up." Inspector Richard smiled a little.

"Aren't we old friends Mr. Richard?"

"By friends, if you mean being arrested by someone and not remembering his name, then I guess we are friends, now shut it and hurry up." The Inspector shouted the words in the end. "I don't know how you got away last time ...this time I'll see."

Hearing all this, Cécile sighed and started getting up, but Sat stopped her.

Cécile looked confused and looked at Sat. He just smiled.

"Inspector Richard Hardy, father Andy Hardy, mother Kate Hardy, brother Joseph. Wife, Greta Langford, currently Greta Langford Hardy..." Sat was interrupted by the Inspector.

"If you're trying to blackmail me, it's not working, anyone can search it up on the internet." Inspector yawned. *Ring ring* Major Sayak's phone buzzed and he left the room. "Excuse me."

"Inspector I insist you let me complete my sentence." Sat said in a cold voice, for some reason, Inspector nodded.

"Jeorge Hardy...age 10." Suddenly Inspector stiffened up. "Martian Public School, quite a common school for an inspector, but considering police security protocol, it's hard to guess your son will be in a public school." Sat looked dead in inspector's eyes.

"What are you implying?" Inspector kept the eye contact.

"Nothing, I'm just providing data. Jeorge Hardy, left home today 9:40 A.M., reached school safely. He got his results of the mid term, he did quite good considering you didn't spend any time helping him with study. He is quite happy. Currently it's sports period. He's playing as midfielder. Still standing even after getting tackled two times, tough guy." Sat said in an ice cold voice, maintaining eye contact.

Everyone else including Cécile were too shocked to react. They just witnessed the tense moment.

"I shall ask once again, what are you implying?" Inspector didn't seem fazed, he didn't react at all.

"What I'm implying is, there is a large banyon tree just beside the field. If you want to see your son play, I can show you the place...or anyone can." Sat sighed a sigh of exhaustion. "Oh, being cold sure is tiring, phew. I don't know how you're keeping the eye contact. Your call."

"Act anything suspicious, and your man in the tree will be your man in the sky. Perhaps you don't know, the school is protected by the army for reasons." Inspector said in the same unfazed voice. "You are not realising how mixing work life and personal life is gonna affect you..."

"In worst case, my man shall reach the sky, but that means he already acted. I have thousands of men like that, ready to die, their value is very close to zero to me. But your son? Easy answer...as for personal and professional life, the moment you stepped on this area, you stepped on my personal life. Unlike you government servants, I don't have different lives. Fuck with me, and you'll realise you're fucked way before you touched me." Sat smiled like a little child, which was way too creepy.

"What...the hell do you want?" Inspector's voice shaked a little.

"You still don't know? Leave me alone. Whenever you recieve a case related to me, which will be very frequent now, you will come here to have a cup of tea and talk it out, like adults. In return, I leave your family alone." Sat was once again in his cheerful mood.

"You say frequently...like I'll be allowed this badge after returning empty handed. Anyway not bad, my wife wasn't very happy about my job anyway." The Inspector smiled sadly. The kids wanted to do something but were afraid to do so. "But promise, nothing will happen to my Jeorge."

"Nonsense, you just fined me a million Red for my crime. And you didn't find enough proof for the other crimes. Case closed. Keep up the good work, and keep doing your best, and if it relates to me, make sure to come for tea." Sat stood up for a handshake with a big smile. "An assassin is also capable of being a bodyguard. Fear nothing, I just hate the police, not you."

"I can't say I'm totally ok with it...but not like I have other options." Inspector faced Sat with a faint smile. "But...you know Major Sayak...what about him?"

"He's a veteran, no worries." Sat shook inspector's hand.

"Did you guys say something? I'm sorry, I was busy in a call...which I never had." Sayak smiled a meaningful smile.

"I am loving and hating my life at the same time..." Inspector smiled confusingly.

"Nevermind, you'll get used to it. Anyway, now to my case Mr. Sat." Sayak gently sat on his seat.

"Oh yes, I'm eager to hear about it. What about another cup of tea?" Sat was in his usual mood again.

"That won't be necessary today...so you heard about Sam right? He completed his mission beautifully." Sayak sounded very interested.

"Your eagerness worries me, that's not like you... but yes, I heard it. Clean assassination, he said the silencer saved him efforts. Three bullets in three major points, very good for a man like him." Sat sounded proud.

"Yeah, pretty clever he is. He surprised me. You should have witnessed it too, oh my! You can witness it now." Saying this, Sayak pulled up a tablet from his bag and held it so everyone could see.

The tab showed a video of a big room looking like inside of a library. 10-12 old people were reading books.

"The public library...why are you showing me this...oh fuck...why is the target there..." Black cloud covered Sat's face.

The video continued. After a second, Sam entered the room. He quickly glanced around the room, then he pulled out a small gun and shoot a man. And quickly left the room. At first nobody noticed, but the silencer was in the gun, not in the victim's mouth. "Arghhhhh" His scream quickly gathered the attention of everyone in the room. And the video stopped.

"So this is Samuel's example of assassination in a silent place with no witness chasing him..." Sat muttered the words holding his own head in his hands.

"Yep, CCTV was monitored... leave CCTV, 3 of the old men remember his face." Sayak said putting back his tab in the bag.

"What assassin works under a CCTV...who the fuck is so stupid..." Sat was still muttering, maximum words being lost in thin air.

A few minutes later, Team Gaia along with Sat and Cécile stood beside the road while two buffed men pulled a crying Sam towards the police vehicle.

"Hey, hey, you don't have the authority to arrest me, hey Sat, tell them. We are old friends ain't we? You know I'm innocent right?" Sam smiled stupidly making tea drinking gestures at Sat.

"Ah yes, tea. Hey Sayak, don't forget tea like this." *THAS* Sat slapped so hard that Sam fell on his back. "Utter another word and the commander will show what assassination really is." Sayak pulled the confused Sam towards the vehicle as Sat walked away from the scene.

"So...what just happened?" Lucy asked Cécile.

"Beats me." Cécile flipped her lips.

"One of the regular miracles of Mars, once again, welcome aboard....Ha ha ha!" Sarthak said from Cécile's watch.
