Odara is an evil god, the twin brother of Ogun who was banished from the heavenly realm-the Astral world-to earth, the human world. His powers were taken from him and he was made a common immortal who roams the surface of the earth who no aim or purpose. Obatala, the president of the Astral world never thought Odara could regain his powers back and use it to terrorize humans. There is a prophecy by Ifa that a human, a girl shall destroy Odara and some gods where sent to the earth to protect this girl. Some gods and a goddess are sent to earth to protect this girl.

Messengers of Eledunmare (God).

This is the list of the Yorubas' traditional gods and goddesses which will be mentioned in this novel and the role each of them plays. It is believed by the Yorubas that these gods and goddesses are messengers of Eledunmare (God).

Yoruba is a tribe in Africa at the southwestern part of Nigeria precisely.

Obatala- According to the Yorubas, the god stands for authority. He is the president of the Astral world in this novel.

Ifa- Ifa is a system of divination and religion among the yorubas but in this novel he is a god, a great philosopher and a teacher of morals and good values.

Orunmila- Orunmila is the first diviner who discovered Ifa, he is a god of divination, wisdom and foresight. The meaning of Orunmila is 'The Lord of Heaven is the one who owns real riches." In this novel, Orunmila is a devoted student of Ifa and a priest who teaches the teachings of Ifa.

Oduduwa- He is the Vice President of the Astral world in this novel, the right hand man of Obatala.

Sango- He is the god of thunder and fire.

Osun- The goddess of beauty, love, water, and fertility. She is soft but fierce. A healer who heals with water. She is praised like this; Osun seegesi olooya-iyun which means; Osun, the elegant one, the possessor of the beautiful coral comb.

Oya- She is the goddess of wind, hurricane, lightning and a powerful sorceress.

Ogun- He is the god of victory, war, creativity, and iron, he is the god of the iron because he invented iron. He is an honest judge who stands for equality and justice. In this novel, he is the head of all warriors in the Astral world.

Aje - she is the goddess of wealth and abundance.

Egun/ Egun-gun - He is the spirit of the ancestors, a masquerade. He is also called Egun Arowosoju, this means the demigod never lacks money. He is a demigod because he was once a human.

Esu - He is a messenger who gets messages across from humans to the gods and vice versa. He also sends messages from the president of the Astral world-Obatala-to the other gods. Esu is the deity of cross board who guards the gate between the Astral world and the earth. Any god who wants to go to earth from the Astral world has to pass through him and the same thing applies to humans who want to go into the Astral world. However, has different demigods who work for him, like; Esu Laalu, Esu Elegbara, Esu Latopa, Esu Laaroye, and so on. His taboo is adin (palm kernel oil).

Note: These Yoruba gods and goddesses are spirits who have no precise gender but are given one in this novel.
