Mamori Tai

"As a teacher, school sucks. Hisoki runs towards his designated classroom, ten minutes late. Why was he late? He's the damn teacher! He huffs, running down the identical halls, the room numbers slowly rising. 206, 207, 208,209….. He was going to be teaching in room 221, what hall was that in again? He had tried to look nice for school, having his black hair flat ironed, and a brown tie to match his shoes. His vintage shoulder bag was starting to weigh on him, slowing down his movements. The bell had already rung ten minutes ago, but he wasn't even at school by that time. His entire morning routine was set back thirty minutes, since his alarm didn't wake him up, his dog did. "Come on.." Hisoki muttered, continuing to run down the halls. 219, 220, 221, 222- oh wait! He took a couple of steps back, placing his hand on the door." At Yokosa's Boys School of the World, only the richest and smartest get to go. So when five boys with polar opposite personalities get put in an English class together, chaos always erupts. And secrets always go down in flames.

Chapter 58

"I... like Hisoki. But, like….."

"You love him?"

Wafi guiltily nods.

Wafi has never been serious. Well, on rare occasions. But those are only serious when Kai is there. Kiso nods her head, though she had a light smile on her face. Was it psychotic to like your teacher? Was it illegal? Well, even if it was, Hisoki wouldn't mind it. He dated Mago. But, what if that was a one time thing. It was rare that that would happen again. "Do you love Yoshi?"

Wafi stopped for a moment. He hadn't expected a question like that. "Um, I don't know." Wafi murmured. Kiso wasn't looking at him anymore, instead at the window, watching the world from the glass barrier. "When you look at him, do you smile? Does your heart feel like it's frozen in place? Do you want to see him laugh and smile because of you?" Kiso asked, or clarified.

Wafi didn't know. Maybe? Yoshi was his bestest friend. In the entire world. If your best friend smiled, wouldn't that make you happy? Wouldn't that make your heart flutter? "I mean… yes, but he's my friend-" Kiso turned to him. Her face was gentle, with a sympathetic smile.

"But do you wish he was something more?"

Wafi sucked in a needed breath, closing his eyes. He didn't know what to say to that. He didn't want to know. Maybe he shouldn't have talked to Kiso. Maybe he should have left, or demanded to see Hisoki. He shouldn't have been this nice. He didn't notice Kiso stand up, or walk over to him. Only when she wrapped her arms around him, that he actually noticed her. "There's no reason to cry over that, Wafi." She mumbled softly. He was crying? Wafi didn't notice that. Wafi never cries.

"I think you love all your friends, a little more than you thought." She murmured. Wafi laid his head on her shoulder, sniffling. "What am I going to do?" He whimpered, taking in a soft breath. Kiso rocked slightly in the hug. She hummed lightly, singing a soft tune. Though she promptly stopped when Wafi asked his question.

"Do what you can, love them all."

Harley lightly knocked on Baker's door. Baker wasn't at school yesterday, nor was he at school today. At first Harley had thought the boy just wasn't at school, but the lack of his attendance was starting to worry him. So he decided to check on him. He tapped on the brick porch, waiting for someone to open the door.

Harley had wanted to bring something, though he didn't exactly know what. He didn't talk to Baker that much, at least, not as much as Mago or Yoshi. But he still cared about him. A girl, a little bit older than Harley, opened the door. She smiled at him nicely. "Yes?" She asked. She was way too young to be his mom. "Uh, I'm here to see Baker." Harley lifted his hand, showing a small gift bag. "I heard he was sick."

The girl hummed, nodding. She looked Harley up and down. He still had his senior school uniform on, the only difference was he had a bag of candy and other goods. She cooed. "Are you his boyfriend?" She asked with a smile. Harley's eyes widened, shaking his head. "Uh- no. Of course not." She clicked her tongue, nodding.

He didn't know why it made him sad.

"I think he's in the living room. Careful, I don't need other kids getting sick either." She muttered, disappointingly. Harley nodded, stepping into the house. He walks over to the living room, placing his bag down. Baker, in all honesty, looked beautiful. His hair laid slightly to one side, his nose barely peeking over the blanket. He seemed delicate, with his face slightly flushed. His lips looked slightly puffed and red. He cuddled up to a teddy bear, his feet poking out slightly. Harley couldn't tell if he was sleeping or not.

Carefully, he pulled the blanket over the boy's feet, making sure he was cold. Baker hummed quietly, looking up. He smiled when he saw Harley, and Harley smiled back. "How are you feeling?" He asked gently. Baker laid his head back down, adjusting himself to look at Harley. "Better now that you're here." He mumbled. His voice was weak and quiet, so much different from his normal, stronger voice.

Harley walked over to the side of the couch, lifting Baker's feet to sit down, before laying the boy's feet on his lap. He remembered when Loni used to do that to him. Harley sighed, nodding. "Really? I guess I have that effect on people." He shrugged. Baker giggled, looking away. Why was he being this nice? Why was he even here? He should be at home, studying. Baker wasn't that important to him. None of them were. Why should he-

Why should he answer his own questions?

Harley reached down, brushing away strands of Baker's blond hair. He could see his black roots. "I got you something." He voiced, sliding the bag towards himself. He reaches into the small bag, pulling out a small box.

When he was on his way home from school yesterday, he passed a small local shop. It didn't seem like a tourist attraction like other places in Tokyo, instead a shop for people who lived here. It was handmade products for things in the shower. Hand soap, lofas, shampoo, and bath bombs. At first he wasn't going to buy anything, but he noticed something that reminded him of Baker.

He handed the small box to Baker, allowing him to open it. It was three bath bombs, made with different flowers. However, these specific bath bombs were white. Baker reached down to grab one, rolling it in his hands. "It's beautiful." He mumbled, observing the flakes of glitter. It was pearly white.

"Later today, when you take a bath, use them. I won't tell you the scent.." But it reminded me of you.. That was what Harley wanted to say, but he wouldn't. He tapped Baker's leg, creating a soft rhythm as the sick boy continued to stare at the bath bomb. "Can I use it now?" Baker asked curiously. Harley shrugged. "Sure, but are you up to taking a bath?" Baker excitedly nodded.

Harley nodded, moving Baker's legs out of the way before standing. He leaned over, lifting Baker up. The blond wrapped his legs around Harley's hips, holding onto him. Harley expertly grabbed the box with one hand, his other unconsciously holding onto Baker. He didn't want the boy to fall. "Where's the bathroom?" Harley asked.

Baker, who laid his head on Harley's shoulder, lifted it slightly. "Go up the stairs, first left." Baker mumbled, before laying his head back down. Harley nodded, starting to walk towards the bathroom. He lightly rubbed Baker's back, taking the left as Baker instructed. He was shocked how light Baker was. He expected the boy to be a little heavier. It almost worried him.

Harley gently opened the door to the bathroom, setting the sick boy on the counter. He crouched down, turning on the faucet. "Do you need me to help or do you want me to go?"

"Help, please."
