The mafia queen is jealous

Her hands stopped as her fingers hit something hard, something big and square shaped with pointy edges. She took out the object which turned out to be a black file 🗄️ with a whole stack of sheets.

"This definitely isn't mine", said Lucy, and realised who it must belong to.

Flashback----

"Have you slept inside the bathroom or what?", asked Lucy, angrily banging on the door.

"I am just taking my usual time...and besides the bathroom is on my side of the room, so my rules", said Adrian.

"Come out already", said Lucy, aggressively. She was already irritated.

"Hey, my phone 📱 is ringing. Tell me who it is", said Adrian, suddenly.

"I will kill you....just come out of this room", said Lucy, aggressively as she went to retrieve his phone from beneath the blankets.

"Who is it?", asked Adrian, peeking out with his soap 🧼 smeared face.

"I am going to click a picture of this", she said.

"Pick the call 🤙 first, you idiot", said Adrian.

"Hello", came Achilles, dark voice from the phone, "Where the heck are you Adrian? Do you want to leave the meeting or what?".

"Actually , this is Lucy speaking. Your boss is too busy sleeping in the bathroom. Here have a look", she said, switching to the video mode and putting the phone on speaker.

"Oh my god, you're looking so cute Adrian", said Achilles, unable to control his laugh.

"Shut up", snarled Adrian.

"This is my new wallpaper now", said Achilles, taking a screenshot, "Now hurry up and stop playing, ok. "

"I am coming", said Adrian, bubbles flying from his mouth.

"And wash your mouth, Mr Soapy head", said Achilles,"Lucy, can you please pack a black leather strapped file in his bag. It's very important....must be on the bedside table".

"Sure", said Lucy, and ended up packing her rough designs in his bag. Then she must have packed his sheets ( for more rough work )in her own, and ended messing up completely.

"I do hope, it's not very important", thought Lucy,"I am not calling him.... he's going to bite my head off...I will just call Achilles". But she realised she didn't have the number of any of the two.

"I must be the first wife in this world, who doesn't have her husband's phone number", she thought," Maybe Athena has, I will call her".

She rang a bell, and a maid came rushing inside. "Please send for miss Athena", said Lucy.

The girl went quickly and after a minute or so, rushed inside with a puzzled Athena.

"Yes?", she asked, questioningly.

"Do you have Achilles' phone number?", asked Lucy, quickly.

"Why do you need that?", asked Athena.

"I actually brought some of his important documents in his bag, and I don't have his Phone number ", said Lucy.

"Here", said Athena, unlocking her phone 🤳 and passing it to Lucy.

Lucy at once called Achilles who picked up instantly.

"Any leads?", asked Achilles, hopefully.

"It's me Achilles. Where is Adrian?", asked Lucy.

"He's inside the office. The meeting is to start in half an hour", said Achilles.

"I actually brought the black file 🗃️ which you asked for this morning 🌅. Shall I drop it in your office?", asked Lucy.

"How come?", asked Achilles,"I saw the file in his bag ".

"That's my file of rough designs. Don't worry, I will reach within fifteen minutes ",said Lucy.

"okay 👍, I will inform him", said Achilles, and disconnected the call 🤙.

"Do I have to drop it?", asked Athena.

"No, I will do it. You stay here", said Lucy.

"You do remember that you're not allowed to travel alone, as the mafia queen 👑 do you?", asked Athena,"I am coming with you".

"Fine then, leave junior secretary Michael in charge, and come", said Lucy.

"I will inform him", said Athena, and went out.

Half an hour later...

They were standing in front of the headquarters of one of the most prestigious buildings 🏢 of all times.

"I swear....I didn't realise that you are married to one of the most richest people in the country", said Athena, quietly.

"We're not here to appreciate buildings, we just have to return this file and then return. Besides, it's not even that pretty", said Lucy.

"Who are you kidding, Lucy?", asked Athena.

"Let's go inside", said Lucy, changing the subject.

When they went to the door 🚪, the well dressed guards stopped them. They looked at Lucy .

"Your ID card", asked one of the guards.

"I am here to deliver a file, I don't work here", clarified Lucy.

"Appointment?", asked the guard,"I am sorry but in that case you have to show us some information or proof regarding what you're saying is true."

"Will Achilles be enough....I mean his word?", asked Lucy.

"Mr Davis? Yes , that will be more than enough", said the guard.

Lucy called Achilles who picked up instantly.

"I am sending someone", said Achilles, quickly and disconnected the call.

Within five minutes, a cute but muscular looking man came outside the room. He was wearing a neat buisness suit with the company logo on it.

"Yes, I am here to take them", he said.

Athena and Lucy followed him inside the building. It was majestic with glass walls. There was a reception, a waiting room, a storeroom, some empty rooms, a huge hall and a large cafeteria on the ground floor. The place looked very developed.

He led them to a lift and pushed the fourteenth button, and the lift started to move up. Athena and Lucy changed some looks, they were both greatly impressed by the grandeur of the place.

They reached the fourteenth floor, and the glass doors of the lift opened.

This place was full of meeting rooms, and a large hall where a lot of people were working. Straight to the front were some spiral stairs which were made up of marble. At the top of the stairs, there were two rooms, one was the boss 's cabin and the next room was for his PA to work alone and comfortably.

"I will take a look", said Athena,"You go and hand over the file 🗄️."

Lucy went upwards ⬆️ with the file. She opened the door, hoping to see a very busy Adrian engulfed in his laptop. But what she actually saw made her blood run cold.

Adrian was standing right in front of the door, with a lady clinging on to him. The girl was beautiful but had heavy makeup on, and was wearing a red lacy dress 👗, which was backless. From the corner, Lucy also saw that Adrian's shirt 🎽 was stained with coffee ☕ and his first two buttons were open, from where she could see the perfect body shape.

"Sorry to disturb you", said Lucy, clearly jealous," I just wanted to hand over this file".

Adrian threw the beauty on the floor, with a sudden force. He gave her a death ☠️ glare before turning to Lucy. She could spot a bit of guilt in his eyes 👁️👁️.

"It's not what it's look like,", he said, defending himself.

"Who are you?", asked the lady in red, getting up softly.

"That's the question which I should ask, as you were clinging to my husband not even moments ago", said Lucy, angrily.

"I am his personal assistant Ruby....and I know that you're another one of his.." , she said , but Adrian cut across her.

"Fuck off....before I murder you. And don't step into this office ever again", said Adrian, and Lucy felt really happy inside.

The girl also shot Lucy a death 💀 glare, before going outside, and banging the door with a thud.

"I am sorry", said Adrian.

"What for? You have the right to do anything... you're a free man", said Lucy, sadly.

"I will never cheat on you.... even though we're not really in love ❣️ but still we're officially husband and wife.....and I would do nothing to hurt you, or to break this beautiful relationship ", said Adrian, holding her hands.

"Thank you, that means a lot to me", said Lucy.

Before she could say anything, Adrian pulled her into a warm and comforting hug.

When they broke the sweet moment, Lucy looked accusingly at Adrian.

"Why did you use my soap 🧼....this is a really bad habit, ok?", said Lucy.

"This girl always needs a reason to fight with me", said Adrian, smacking his forehead.
