Mrs Smith
"Are you done?", asked Athena, opening the door 🚪 and coming inside.
"Yes, only signing is left", said Lucy," Did you find out anything?".
"No, I did not. I have used all my sources to find out whatever I could.....but I have found really strange things".
"What happened?", asked Lucy.
"Look, there are two entrances from the house, one from the front door and one from the back door. There can be more, but I or Achilles have no idea about it. We've checked the CCTV footages and nobody left the house till we let all the guests out, and it's impossible because we checked each and every room of the house", said Athena.
"Someone escaped all that security?", asked Lucy, "Nearly impossible ".
"Yeah, so there can be only three situations. One that the person is still hiding in the house, in some secret place. Second, he was among one of the guests. Third....", she said but suddenly stopped.
Lucy also looked at her. She knew that both of them were thinking the same thing.
"But that's...", said Athena.
"Not impossible...we don't know the true colours of all the members of the family.", said Lucy.
"It can't be Adrian....I mean if he wants to suicide....he can do it anywhere else....he does not entirely live with the others", said Athena.
"It can be him. I mean if he wants to commit suicide and make it look like a murder to frame himself...this is a perfect opportunity ", she said.
"Ok, but it can't be his mother", said Athena," I mean she was standing there all the time.
"And it can't be Lia", said Lucy, agreeing.
"I would have agreed with you, but I think that there is something really weird about her. She was up late at night, and was roaming at the place exactly where the chandelier is present, I mean where you can be in contact with it. And what is more, she was threatening Achilles about something..I couldn't hear exactly but I can say it was a threat", said Athena.
"But still Lia sounds so unconvincing....", said Lucy.
"We're not sure of anyone at the time being are we?", said Athena, forcefully.
"I guess you have a point....so we have to keep a check on her as well ", said Lucy.
"And about George.....he literally came out of the washroom....so it's little chance that it's him ", said Athena.
"Hmmm🤔 the only real suspect I think is Lucy, I don't know but I really don't find that girl all right. There's something wrong with her", said Lucy.
"Good point but there is one problem ", said Athena.
"What now?", asked Lucy.
"We can spy on the members when they are outside the house, but we can't have a spy in the Smith mansion can we? I mean....", said Athena, but Lucy cut across her.
"Unless we can have a family member on our side....and I know the perfect candidate ", said Lucy, as the image of Felix flashed through her mind.
"Not that boy", said Athena, reading her mind,"I mean he's just a boy...he can go wrong and he can tell others...and we can't risk his life as well", said Athena.
"The more we try to keep a child away from harm....the more bad they feel when they come to know the truth. Truth should not be hidden and everyone should be given an opportunity before it's too late", said Lucy, remembering the days when she was kept in the dark.
"I guess you are right...but first we will check if he can be trusted or not", said Athena.
"Agreed 👍", said Lucy.
"Now back from the role of Mrs Smith to Lucy Anderson the CEO of Coco Styles....you and I both have a lot of work", said Athena.
"Don't call me Mrs Smith ", snarled Lucy.
"You are secretly liking it, aren't you?", asked Athena, teasingly and before Lucy could answer, she gathered all the files and went out of the door.
"This girl.Just wait till I start calling you Mrs Davis ( Davis was the surname of Achilles )", thought, an annoyed 😠 Lucy but the truth struck her. She did feel happy when she heard Athena call her Mrs Smith, she loved it.
"I am really starting to lose my mind", she thought, as she put her hand inside the bag to take out her pen.
