Chapter 13: Rasengan Training

Luffy looked at her expression carefully, " Would you mind to tell me the reason behind your refusal? "

Reiju sighed, " I am indebted to the old man. So i can't leave this place. "

" Then Reiju let me ask you one thing, did the old man Zeff ever asked you to stay here and repay your debt? " seeing her remaining quite, Luffy added, " You know the answer don't you! Then by staying here stubbornly you are just hurting that old man's feelings. "

Luffy then made a thinking pose, " Alright let's make a bet. If i can convince the old man, are you willing to join me? " Reiju was about to answer when Gin interrupted us.

Gin started telling him to drop the idea of going to the Grandline. He went on with warning him, telling him about there tragic journey. How they couldn't even last there with so much manpower.

Then he told them about how he was also a part of the Krieg Pirates.

Luffy paid no heed to his rambling, " I don't need your opinion, so shut the hell up. You and your crew are nothing but useless trash, if you can't even last a week in the Grandline. That's the reason why i am here to recruit this beautiful but ridiculously strong girl. " This exclamation had brought a small smile on Reiju's face.

But Gin was enraged, " You bastard, Don Krieg is the strongest pirate in the East Blue. "

Luffy just yawned, " So then what, East Blue is the weakest sea among the four blues. You have never seen a strong pirate don't you, then let me tell you even a Marine captain is stronger than him in the Grandline. "

Gin wanted to retort but all of a sudden they heard a rigid voice from the upper deck, " Reiju you are again giving away free meal! " This voice belongs to Zeff, who was currently standing on the upper deck while wearing his ridiculous large hat.

" Don't worry old man just add this to my bill. I will pay for my crewmate. " said Luffy without even looking back.

Reiju had a tick mark on her forehead by his persistence. Well now that her father like figure was here, he will probably chase away this guy immediately. But against her all expectations, Zeff didn't immediately chase away Luffy.

He checked Luffy from head to toe carefully, " Who are you kid? " Asked Zeff. Luffy replied casually, " I am Monkey D. Luffy, the man who will become the future pirate king. " Although Luffy was embarassed by this silly dialogue, he had to say this when dealing with the retired pirates like Zeff.

" Good good good, work hard your dream is not a simple one kid. Hahaha..." Zeff started laughing while reminiscing his old days.

" Old man, what do you think about the matter regarding me inviting Reiju. " Luffy went directly to the main topic. Zeff thought for a moment before opening his mouth, " Do what ever you want. "

Reiju was visibly surprised by his answer. Her old man didn't chase this guy instead gave him his permission.

Of course if someone else was asking him this same question, then he would have beat the crap out of that guy before chasing him out. But Luffy was different, because Zeff also was there when Luffy saved the little girl. Zeff was sure the power this kid used to stop the bullet was not from this sea.

He knew Luffy was strong from the moment he saw him and he was not a match for Luffy even during his prime days much less now.

Zeff also wanted Reiju to live her life happily and fullfill her dreams, instead of staying here.

But he knew this girl felt indebted to him, so no matter how harsh he behaved in the past she just didn't leave this place.

Reiju was also excited about the idea of travelling the world with Luffy but she had a debt to pay. " I won't leave with you. " said Reiju before she went inside to serve the customers. Zeff just sighed at her retreating back.

Luffy thought for a moment, " Old man i will wait for her until she made up her mind. Do you hve any objections? "

Zeff shook his head, " No, as i said before do what ever you want. " Luffy nodded, " Old man let me help you while i am here. " After saying that Luffy also left.

Luffy paid his bill and returned to his ship with Kaya. But there was strange silence between them after the restaurant incident.

Time passed, as Luffy started pestering Reiju for joining him everyday. But she had a simple

answer for him everytime, ' No '.

Luffy captured some rare animals for the restaurant. He went to the prohibited fishing zone and brought out a lot of different types of sea food. He didn't have to worry about Seaking or any powerful marine creatures due to his absolute command power on them.

Zeff and everyone im Baratie were surprised by seeing such rare animals.

Luffy also started learning a new ninjutsu, Rasengan. It was one of the signature moves of Naruto.

It was based on the same principle as Tailed Beast Bomb, which condensed chakra into small balls to attack the opponent.

Afterward, Luffy started practicing with the same approach Jiraiya taught Naruto in the original Naruto story.

First, he needed to gather the chakra in his hand to form a ball and then made it flow in different directions at high speed.

He also started practicing some cool justus for using in his future fights.

Three days later.

Luffy successfully mastered Rasengan, due to his perfect chakra control. But the problem was he would always run out of chakra after using around 30 Rasengan.

Nothing had changed in the past three days, except one thing. Kaya started training seriously with her Devil Fruit power and Luffy gave her a flintlock to practice marksmanship.
