Take Me Back

Mystic drank the wine leisurely, his unique dark eyes darkened as the guards took the headless bloody bodies of Smith and the men who followed him away. Maids came after the bodies were taken and started cleaning off the pools of blood. He couldn't stop thinking about his delicate bird that was still unconscious on his bed.

.

*Some hours ago*

Mystic grabbed the man's neck tightly, lifted him off the ground, and sank his sharp long nails into his neck. Tears filled the man's eyes while the guards that were in the throne room watched the scene with horror written on their faces.

"What are you telling me? You are the guardian of the cave aren't you?" Mystic growled through his teeth.

"Y...you...your ma...m.. majesty" The man struggled to say.

Without hesitation, Mystic ripped his head out of his body and then threw the man's head to one of the guards who caught it while looking white in the face. "Get out of my sight you peasants!" Mystic's voice thundered.

The guards sprang up in fear and ran out of the throne room. Asher walked in hurriedly and bowed his head at Mystic who was wearing a furious menacing expression.

"We don't know what is going on now but we know that the fire beings are targeting the golden phoenix," Asher reported.

"Perfect timing for my future wife to come home" With that, Mystic walked past Asher and out of the throne room.

Mystic arrived outside the mansion, his unique dark eyes scanned the bright yet dark surroundings of the castle.

"Ares," Mystic whispered and sighed deeply.

Just then, there was a loud frightening roar and a large shadow blocked the light over Mystic. The wind became strong and forced, the roar turned into a low growl.

THUD!

A large black-scaled dragon landed in front of Mystic glaring at him with its deep blue eyes.

"Let's go," Mystic sighed and jumped onto the dragon's back.

In no time, Ares, the dragon arrived over the formerly large mansion which now was burnt to ashes. Mystic who was standing on Ares narrowed his eyes at the ashes of the mansion then swept his gaze into the forest ahead.

"Go," Mystic whispered.

Ares flew and in no time, he was above the forest.

"You don't scare me, you disgusting things killed my parents!" A familiar angelic voice screamed. Mystic's eyes darkened even more as he sighted Olympia in an unconscious state while fire beings were reaching out to her.

He jumped off Ares without hesitation and landed behind the beings. They turned to Mystic and shrieked seeing him before disappearing into thin air.

"Pathetic" Mystic scoffed with a whisper then took unhurried steps to the unmoving petite girl on the ground and beside her was a sword, its scabbard, and a white cloth bag.

"Running away I see" Mystic stood on one knee before carrying Olympia into his arms.

THUD!

Ares landed beside them and growled glaring possessively at Mystic. Mystic rose up and faced the dragon who looked like it wanted to breathe fire on his future wife.

"Don't even think about it, Venus will be gone if you do anything to my little bird" Mystic threatened. The dragon was intimidated and bowed its head at Mystic.

Looking back at Olympia, an amused smile curved his attractive thin lips then he spoke calmly, "You were about to fight fire beings with a sword? So dumb"

.

*Back to present*

Asher walked into the throne room and bowed his head at Mystic who hissed and placed his long leg on top of the other.

"The guardians of the cave of fire beings have been replaced by the witches, your majesty," Asher reported and lifted his head.

"Smart of them" Mystic hummed and sipped his wine.

"They are mad about you killing the warlock your Majesty" Asher informed. Mystic nodded and sipped his wine again.

"Insects jump to attack when they are mad but with me, they just say it without doing anything" It was clear that Mystic didn't care less about what the witches felt about him.

"I already informed them to round up the escaped fire beings. It's fascinating how they targeted the golden phoenix immediately after they escaped" Asher was fascinated indeed.

"Nothing is intriguing about those who want to take away what belongs to me Asher" Mystic clicked his tongue and took another small sip of his wine.

"Patrick and Luana are nowhere to be found, by the way, it's clear that they fled immediately the fire beings invaded the mansion with fire" Asher was curious and figured it out.

"Future wife didn't expect any of this, she planned to run away tonight, how sad" Mystic was amused and finally finished his wine. "She is indeed interesting"

"What are you going to do about those humans? I am sure you would like to feed them to Ares and Venus" Asher smiled as he spoke.

"No, they don't like dirty insects only clean insects, it's better they are tossed to the dogs after I use my ax on them" Mystic spoke nonchalantly.

Asher was surprised. "You plan to handle them yourself?"

"Yes, they are special like that" Mystic replied and threw his glass to Asher who caught it like it was nothing.

"By the way, they hurt my delicate bird and she is such an emotional dummy" Mystic clicked his tongue and pushed the small strands of hair that fell on his forehead to the side.

"Should I get my men to take care of them?" Asher asked curiously.

"No, it will be interesting if they find their way back here to beg and cry so that future wife will make the decision herself" Mystic ended his words with a deep chuckle that sent chills to Asher's spine because for once, Mystic chuckle sounded genuinely amused.

Mystic's mind drifted to those emerald eyes that were always filled with light and mischief, her pink soft heart-shaped lips that parted every time she spoke confidently, her delicate petite statue, delicate shoulders, and a small waist that his large hands held firmly, waist that curved perfectly to the bottom.

"It will be interesting indeed" Asher snapped him out of his thoughts.

Just then, a maid walked in and bowed her head, "She is awake your majesty"

Asher turned to Mystic whose unique dark eyes glimmered in a strange yet soft way.

...

Olympia's eyes flew open. She gasped, shocked with shock as she noticed that she was in an unfamiliar place. She placed herself in a sitting position seeing a stunned young woman who was in uniform. It was clear that she was a maid, a royal maid.

"Who are you?! Where am I?!" Olympia yelled. The maid immediately ran out of the room, closing the door loudly behind her.

Olympia jumped off the bed, not caring to look around, all she wanted was to get out of the unfamiliar room. She opened the door and met someone she never thought she would meet again.

"You don't have to be in a hurry future wife" His deep voice echoed in her ears.

Olympia froze. It was the king! He was in front of her! He looked strikingly unreal, so gorgeous. His dark as night hair was long but he had packed it into a ponytail while small strands fell to his forehead, his cheekbones defined and his thin attractive lips were light pink. His shoulders were broad and were covered with a coat, his uniquely dark eyes glimmered in a dark dangerous way. Olympia thought that she was seeing an illusion but it was him!

"Don't call me that! What am I doing here?!" Olympia yelled dangerously.

Mystic took slow steps towards her but she stopped him by placing her hands on his chest and narrowing her emerald eyes dangerously at him. "Do not come close to me" She warned.

A deep chuckle vibrated from Mystic's chest. She just woke up and she attacked him so fiercely.

Olympia felt insulted as Mystic chuckled as if she was saying a joke. "Are you mocking me?" Olympia asked with disbelief.

Mystic held her wrist and pushed her small hands away from his chest. "So small, you have a viper tongue delicate bird"

Olympia's face turned red in anger, she jerked away from Mystic's grip harshly, not that he held her with any energy. Olympia aimed to jump all the way to the door but as she jumped, Mystic's arm curved around her waist and the next thing she knew, she was on the king-size bed. Her golden hair was let loose due to the harsh fall.

"What are you doing? My home was destroyed and my parents are gone all because of you!" Even though she knew he wasn't at fault, she pointed to him confidently as she vibrated in both pain and anger.

Mystic wore an uninterested expression and took slow steps towards the bed, bent and leaning his face close to hers. Olympia frowned seeing that his lips curved into an amused smile.

"I brought you here, future wife and you will stay here," Mystic whispered calmly.

"Since you brought me here, you will take me back" Olympia growled at him and pushed her silky golden hair backward.

"Delicate bird with a viper tongue suits perfectly" Mystic hissed and clicked his tongue.

Olympia gasped, rolled off the bed, and charged towards the door. Mystic unexpectedly appeared in front of her and the next thing she knew was that she was pinned to the wall by the tall, unreal sinister-looking being.

"Let me go!" Olympia yelled.

Mystic leaned his face close to hers and whispered, "You seem confused, future wife, do you want me to take you back or let you go?"
