"You're also an Invoker, Grandpa?" Chris was surprised when she knew that her grandfather told her that he was also one.

"*smiled* hmm...Yes I am...Oh by the way, did you already used the pendant i gave you?" The old man asked.

"Yes, I used it and it made me stronger." Chris was happy report it to her grandfather. And her grandfather laughed a bit when she said that she liked it. But his expression went sour when someone interrupted their moment.

"huff...puff...Chief Claude...huff...there's a...huff..."The young looking man with pointy ears and yellow hair a typical looking elf, who wore a green tunic and brown shorts were breathing heavily as he ran to the 7th floor from the front door of the city library.

"What is it Birch? If its not something important then please wait outside." Chris' Grandpa frowned as he talked to his subordinates as he missed his granddaughter and they were interrupted by the sudden commotion.

"There was...huff...an attack at the south gate of the city and all of them are fallen creatures and there's an approximately 2,000 of them." The young looking elf had horrified expression with a bit hoarse-ish voice due to exhaustion then he whispered to Claude. "Plus if you kill them they explode to dust and leaving a crystal looking stone and i think it was their core and don't worry about the civilians they're already evacuated from the area."

"Then they're...summoned." Birch nodded in agreement. "Tsk...What a pain. Alright I'll be going. Christie my granddaughter, stay here till the attack finished."

"Wait! I want to help you fight. I'm an adventurer now." Chris snapped out from her daze when she heard from birch that they drop their core.

"No. You stay here its dangerous. I don't want my Little Christie to get hurt."

"But Grandpa. Im not a kid anymore." Chris pouted as she had to act because this was her grandpa know Chris before.

'Awww my little Christie looks so cute when pouting. And at the same time I think i have no choice but to agree.'He thought to himself. "Alright you can go too. But be careful." Then he looked at Birch and said in serious tone"Call Paulina and tell her to accompany Christie near the gate and eliminate every fallen that got inside."

"Roger that."

Then he looked onto Chris again and said "Alright Chris you and Paulina will eliminate the fallen that got inside of the city and don't worry the civilians Birch told me that they're already at the safe place."

"Got it!" Chris smiled as she got an approval from her grandpa to fight.

"Let's go!"

When they got outside of the library they met a woman in a dark purple robe with a height of 5"6', she had a light blue hair and green eyes, a fair skin, large breast size, and even though she was wearing robes you can still see her curves. Her name was Paulina.

While Claude introduced Chris to Paulina. Chris got mesmerize by the beauty and accidentaly stared at her breast with irritated expression making her look like she was jealous. Paulina saw her staring and smiled like an 'ara ara onee-sans'. And said.

"Don't worry your's will grow too someday."

Chris looked down on embarrassment while trying hard to not to laugh and cringe.

They shook their hands after they introduced to each other.

All of them went on their way to their positions while fending the enemies off. Chris and Paulina went to the low-class residential area and the slums to check if there were monsters around. When they heard some fighting in an alleyway in the slums. They rushed in to check and what they saw was a group of lizardmen around 4 of them, was fighting a SwordsWoman and a male demihuman who was wearing a robe.

It was Arisa and Nick that was trying to protect the civillians who got caught up.

Without hesitating Chris pulled out her magic gun that had the shape of a pistol that turned into a shotgun.

'Wait this can turn into any gun I want!' Chris shouted in her mind and shot the other 2 lizardmen to face them instead the two who seems exhausted, from the fight.

Chris successfully caught their aggro thus it eases Arisa's burden from fighting 4 lizardmen all at once.

The four defeated the four lizardmen quickly as there might be more around and attack them.

Chris hurriedly went to Arisa and Nick as both were tired and wounded. She opened her inventory space and pulled out two bottles of Healing salve and two <Mana Regeneration Pill>.

*GULP*

While the two swallowed the pill they felt that their energy were gradually returning, Chris started to pour the <Healing salve> on to their wounds that was starting to heal and to their surprise it didn't leave any marks they're also back into their refreshed state.

"Thank you Young Lady. For saving us." Arisa bowed to Chris to show her gratitude. Nick did the same.

"There's no need for formality tell us what happend Arisa." (Chris)

"Yes..." Arisa told everything what happend that there was an announcement that an army of monsters just appeared outside of the gate and they failed to detect them as it was summoned by a high level Overlord.

And they saw along the way to the gate that some of the monsters came from the sewers which was already cleared by the two and Sealed by Nick

"Overlord?" Chris asked.

"Ahhh...Yes Overlord Occupation are capable of summoning all kinds of fallen monsters and summon them in bulk but to think that there were thousands of it were storming this area. They're in group or shall i say a small army of the same Occupation were trying to conquer this city." Paulina Explained.

"So that means there were still more of them lingering around the area. We have to hurry and save the residents." Chris Commanded.

"Roger!" the three answered.

A series of attacks came from behind them. Chris without hesitation ran over while Arisa, Pauline, and Nick followed her.

Chris saw a mysterious hooded cloak person who just finished killing the last giant snake monster.
