Chapter 11

Sylvia hid behind the kitchen island, not knowing if it was her saviour who saw her or the one who wanted to harm her, but when she bumped into someone and found herself looking back into malicious brown eyes, she knew it was the end for her. "Sylvia duck!" someone said, turning on the lights and obeying the redhead as he crouched down.

Rogue Kagero pulled up to his dad's driveway and said, "The house is unusually dark." Minerva pointed out, getting out of the car, "Maybe she's asleep." Rogue said, "It still doesn't hurt to check; Akiyuki won't tell you to check up on her for no reason." Minerva said, walking toward the door, "Hey, the doors are open." The two heard a gunshot, followed by a scream.

Sylvia placed her hands over her ears, squeezing her eyes shut when she heard the man shoot, followed by a loud thud. When Sylvia opened her eyes again, she looked at her savior, relaxing to find the redhead unharmed.
