Chapter 10

"Delete the ones from Hoshino." Minerva looked through the photos on her friend's camera. "That's done already," Sylvia said as she looked through the article, editing some of it. "What? but there's a photo of Lucy Hoshino on your camera." Minerva said, furrowing her brows in confusion, "No, my camera and memory got destroyed when Lucy barged into the studio." She didn't look away from the laptop. "So that's a new camera." She pointed her pen at the camera. "Are you sure?" Rogue looked over Minerva's shoulder at the photo "You should have a look at this." Sylvia took the camera from Minerva, going over the pictures she'd taken back when she was forced to do a photoshoot with Lucy Hoshino "The heck..." her brows furrowed in confusion at the photos on her new camera. "This is definitely not my work; I just bought it a month earlier." Sylvia looked up at her older brother.

Reiki was in his office, bored out of his mind. There weren't any good cases for him lately; all the cases he'd gotten were of either a husband or wife suspecting their significant others of cheating, so he didn't really expect Sylvia Kamiya to barge into his office with his assistants and the reception trailing behind her. "To what do I owe this visit, Your Majesty?" he mocked a bow at her. "I need to talk to you." Her normal hotheaded nature seemed to be replaced with anxiety. He noted the way she fiddled with her watch.

"Sir, we tried to stop her, but..." His assistant said he dismissed both the receptionist and his assistant. "Well?" He raised a brow. "Hang on a minute." She pulled out her camera. His brows furrowed in confusion. "Look at this." She came around, showing him the pictures that appeared out of nowhere in her camera. "I thought you bought a new one after Lucy broke yours." He looked up at her. "Exactly, and my memory card broke, so I couldn't possibly use that one," Sylvia explained. "So what you really meant by talk is hire?" Reiki asked as she took a seat opposite him, "Not hire, I need your help." The redhead raised a brow. "Why should I help you exactly?" a smirk crossed her face. "Well, Reiki Bushida I could always hear this tape recording between you and your father letting the whole of Japan or the world know that the famous detective Reiki Bushida is really the only son of Sora Masayuki, a famous politician and businessman." She spun around her chair, holding the recorder in her hands. "Oh, you are sneaky," Reiki agreed.

Sylvia was just getting ready for bed when she found a strange message on her phone that drained all the colour from her face. She could feel bile rising up her throat. A scream of horror escaped her lips with shaky hands. She dialled the redhead's number. "What is it now? You realize it's almost 10, right?" Reiki asked, "I know, just come over." Sylvia spoke softly, feeling fear grip her heart. "No, I'm-" "Please, Reiki." She cut off the tears at the corner of her eyes. "I'll be over. Just don't move from wherever you are." She could hear the rustling of his sheets before he hung up.

Juvia looked down at her phone to see if she'd gotten any messages from Sylvia. "You shouldn't have your phone out," Natsu whispered to her. "Why exactly am I attending this with you?" Juvia asked the pink-haired businessman, "Because you're my girlfriend." Natsu replied that he was usually bored at these business meetings that were held abroad. "Uh-uh, I'm your fake girlfriend, Natsu Hinata." Now it was more fun with Juvia Ryu keeping him company.

Yukino, on the other hand, looked outside at the rainstorm outside the airport She honestly didn't know how she got herself into this situation since Yukino Ryu was all the way across the globe with Sting Hisui. "It looks like we're going to be here a while." Akiyuki said he had found out she was in America after catching her with Sting. "Yeah, I hope Sylvia's doing alright on her own." Yukino said, "Well, she wouldn't be in this situation if this idiot hadn't forced you to come with him." Acnologia glared at Sting Hisui. "I'm sorry, ok? I didn't know your youngest daughter would be left alone," Sting said.

Reiki rushed toward Sylvia's house. By the way she was talking to him over the phone, the girl seemed terrified, so when he got to her house, he parked in her driveway before stumbling out the car door. He was going to knock on the door but found it open. Worried for her safety, the redhead walked into the house, pulling his gun out just in case he needed it. "Sylvia?" he called into the dark house.

Sylvia looked at the person beside her, holding her breath and cursing herself for catching her perpetrator's eye. Now she was stuck between getting killed or revealing her location to both Reiki and her perpetrator. She just prayed to God that the redhead would find her.

Reiki looked around the house for Sylvia, and being careful of the other person in the house too, he ended up in the kitchen when he saw a shadow of someone move into the kitchen.
