Chapter One

This is a story about, Heartbreak and Betrayal. Love is blind. But when I met him all senses were lost he was my equal my soul mate...at least I thought he was. Fairytales are meant to be myths but he made me believe in them what we had was a undeniable connection I felt it the first day I met him. I never would have admitted that before though,Kayla smiled to herself at the thought. That's the thing with love, with it being blind and all you can't control it.

Kayla stared at her ceiling in deep thought she peeked over at the sunlight drifting through her window. It was 5am the birds were chirping loudly letting the whole world know the sun was rising. In that moment Kayla realised that no matter how she felt the world had still moved on. Everyday was a new day, every person, every living thing had a life to live a story to continue.

So why did I feel like mine had ended so abruptly? When he left with no warning my life came to a standstill, my whole world had shaken and switched drastically. I knew deep down my heart always told me it would never work with someone who was different in ways. I was apart of the atlas division and he was from Armar it has been like this for generations and never had there been a crossover.

An Armarian and a Atlas? It was forbidden in the eyes of the people. Technically there was no law out in place to prohibit it but it wasn't known. People who loved opposites lived their life in the shadows constantly hiding their relationships, never being accepted. Kayla sat up placing her feet on the carpet of her room staring into the mirror across from her. She looked at her face with quizzing eyes and frowned. Her curly hair was a picture image of a frizz ball and her under-eyes were so dark making her small brown eyes look even smaller if that was possible.

Kayla sighed in frustration and stood up to go wash her face and start her day. Part of her wondered if she would even get through it.
