CHAPTER 5

I enjoyed the walk back home with Goku, I had missed his company, we used to be one hell of a team back in the day, causing trouble, messing around the adult wolves corner, and sticking our noses where they didn't belong, it was so much fun, I missed him like crazy when he had to leave, and then I was stuck with Theo, maybe I'm being a little too hard on him, he is my trainer after all.

Theo could be annoying most times, but other times, when he wasn't trying to piss me off, I actually did enjoy his company, but now that Goku was back, I was almost sure that things would go back to the way they were before, almost.

I wanted to hear all about the rituals, the changing process, I had heard the transformation broke all your bones and that there was always an excruciating amount of pain before you transformed for the first time, some said you would be able to do amazing things, that every single one of your senses would be heightened, even your emotions.

Those were the stories I had heard before, truthfully I didn't know what to believe, they made it sound so exciting and miserable at the same time, the thrill made us droll as children, but I could finally let go of those stories now, I was about to get first hand information from someone who had actually experienced it, and I just couldn't wait.

They had all returned, Mikayo, Loden, and a few others that I wasn't very familiar with, and just like Goku they were full fledged werewolves now, soon they'd all have to choose a mate that would stay with them for the rest of their lives, this was another part that never made sense to me, only the male wolves got to choose their mate, the female wolves however could only be chosen, we never got to choose, even though their mates eventually fell in love with them, it wasn't always love at first sight.

But I couldn't think of all that now, there was still so much I wanted to ask Goku, so much I wanted to tell him, everyother thing could wait, father had gone for a meeting with the elder wolves before we returned, so we had the whole day to ourselves.

" Mikayo, Loden, you remember Maple ? " Goku said, as we walked up to them.

They took a short glance at each other, grinning like excited girls, and then back at me.

" Of course we do, how could we forget, Goku never shuts up about you, " the shorter of the two, Loden, teased.

I wasn't sure if he remembered me, but I still remembered him even though he looked different now, like Goku he had tough muscles, and brown eyes that had always been up to some mischief or the other, his hair looked longer now and desperate for a good brush, he leaned forward as if to whisper something to me.

" Back at camp it was always Maple this, Maple that, all the day Maple " but Goku chased after him before he said something even more embarrassing, and I was left with Mikayo.

" So... Maple, glad to finally meet you, Guko told us interesting things about you " Mikayo said, he obviously didn't remember me, actually I wasn't expecting him to, after all we were children then, and I had always hung around with Goku, not them, " I'm Mikayo " he said extending a hand to me.

" I know who you are " I said, shaking his hand.

" You do ? " he asked and I nodded a yes.

" I used to watch you guys fight all the time with Goku, " Mikayo was about a year older than Goku, he had always been the more mature one of the trio, while Goku and Loden behaved like children, he always acted more mature.

Unlike loden, Mikayo was quite tall, broad shouldered, muscular, and had better hair, he was one of the few wolves with hazel eyes, that could trap a female wolf in minutes, no doubt, he was one of the charming ones.

" Well, you're a grown woman now, " he said, but our conversation was cut short when a few other male wolves beckoned to him to join them "

" Please excuse me, have a nice day Maple. "

As soon as Mikayo left, I tried to find Goku, but I just couldn't find him anywhere, I noticed a group of other male wolves not too far from where I stood, one in particular kept staring at me, I knew what he wanted, on a good day I wouldn't have hesitated to teach him a good lesson, but I had more important things planned, I stil needed to find Goku.

I walked away hoping to avoid him, but I

could tell he wanted trouble, himself and his gang kept making silly advances at me, they whistled and called me sweetheart, God ! it took so much self control not to go there and snap their heads off, but unfortunately that was all history the moment I felt someone grab me by the hand.
