I thought back to how it all began. And debated how much I should tell these strange guys. They had ears and a tail but none like I'd ever seen. I wonder what they were but it would be rude to ask them right? The one named Joey was kind of cute. "It all started when I was little. My mother had gone out for a bit and I was just a pup. Long story short, I got lost and she found me. But not before I ended up with another wolf who helped me. He was kind for a bit and then he and mom went out for a bit. They came back the next day and it was nice for a bit. Til this other guy showed up and he kind of ruined everything. I'm not sure if it came from him but there was this weird cloud of air and it turned everyone into these monsters. I'd never seen anything like it. Mom took me away from it as fast as she could. The guy who was nice to us stayed to deal with the other one who tried to come after us. I think he believed he was going to harm us. Mom and I were on the run for a while and she taught me as much as she could before we got separated. I've been trying to find her, stay safe, and avoid those monsters. But they were once wolves like me and now they're the scariest thing I've ever seen. And it was pure luck that I found this place. I've been so hungry trying to find anything to eat without running into trouble. So here we are." I said glancing between them to gauge their reactions. They both seemed stunned. One more than the other.
