His fate was predetermined: fight, defend, and perish with the stars, a mere cog in the great machinery of creation. But something within him resisted this cruel fate. A seed of defiance sprouted in his heart, whispering of freedom. He sought a way to transcend the cosmic chains—to escape, to defy destiny, to seize freedom at any cost. As a mortal, he felt the agony of watching his loved ones wither and die, powerless to stop the decay of time. He wept for children, lovers, friends. As an emperor, he conquered kingdoms and wielded unimaginable power, only to be betrayed by those he trusted most, dragged from his throne, and executed in shame. As a beggar, he wandered the streets, starving and shivering under the cold gaze of uncaring gods. As a villain, he became the monster in stories told to frighten children—burning cities, drowning nations in blood, only to be hunted and killed by the heroes of those same tales. As a saint, he gave everything—his wealth, his strength, his life—to others, only to discover that gratitude was fleeting and the world did not remember the sacrifices of the righteous. But, Every failure, every death, every betrayal—they were nothing but steps on a long, infinite path. And the path had only one direction: up, through the layers of existence, through the fabric of reality itself. No prison could contain him. No curse could hold him. His heart whispered one thing to him, a truth carved into his soul:Move forward. Always forward. Because he was Li Shenrong—the Lord of the Celestial Throne.
Her chain of thought was interrupted by a voice.
"Sect leader, our spies sent news that Blossom flower sect, Cicada devil sect, Black iron sect, Mount hua sect, Armed demon sect and Golden buddha mountain formed an alliance and could attack us at any time. We need to prepare for great battle but i am afraid that your previous injuries will…."
"So those bald donkeys finally gave in to their greed huh? Let them come i will make sure they pay a terrible price." Jessi coldly uttered, her aura erupted sending fiery waves of wind and shockwave.
The elder bowed and left.
Jessi took a deep breath and exhaled, she sighed and stood up. She took out a sealed box from her table and opened it.
A black ring was kept inside, molded from unknown material.
Jessi grabbed it and felt like it was the darkest thing in existence. No matter how hard she tried with her divine sense she couldn't decipher its mysteries at all. Whats more terrifying was when she tried harder the ring would attempt to devour her divine sense as well.
This was a treasure founded in a broken realm. She fought against several sects and snatched it from the sect master of blossom sect. From then on they tried various ways to obtain this ring but jessi firmly denied it.
Left with no choice blossom sect gathered together allies and created alliance against her.
Jessi slowly put on the ring on her finger and went to the treasure room.
In the middle of the night several strong auras covered the whole of locust sect.
Hundreds of miles area was sealed under a formation, not a single ant could escape from it.
The disciples of locust sect stood in guard worrying and in fear. This was an existential crisis of their sect since its foundation.
The whole of locust sect put their hopes on jessi alone. She was the strongest person in their sect, her reputation was unparalleled, her prestige was unquestionable. None of the sect master of other sects dared to challenge her alone.
Jessi walked out of her abode and stood at the peak of master mountain. Even till now for some strange reason she can not fly. She thought this has something to do with her being otherworldly human.
Jessi wore a white robe, her facial features were exquisite, her blue hair fully danced in the wind as her iris glowed with deep blue light. She looked like a heavenly goddess descended into mortal world.
"Unwanted guests from afar, how may i serve you?"
Jessi smiled at the six figures floating in the sky and said.
"Don't beat around the bush sect master. You know very well why we are here. Hand over that box to us and we will leave." A figure among them said.
"What box? I don't know what you are talking about."
Jessi blinked her eyes feigning innocence but deep in her eyes glimmered with fierce killing intent.
She smiled brightly looking at them as the blue light in her eyes burned like erupted volcano.
"Humph! Courting death." Another figure snorted and stepped forward to lead the fight.
Other five followed suit.
"Bald donkey! Today locust sect will be your burial ground."
A bald figure among the six suddenly felt cold chill behind his back, before he could turn around and defend his whole body was smashed to the ground.
Jessi fiercely stepped on his bald head as it made cracking sounds.
The other five was suddenly caught off guard by the display of her dominance.
"Everyone together." They shouted and threw out various long ranged attacks.
Jessi was calm as she dodged back and forth, none of the attacks could hit her.
Blossom sect leader attacked with a treasured knife Black iron sect leader attacked with a metal rod, Mount hua sect leader attacked with a long sword, Cicada devil sect leader controlled numerous poisonous insects to surround jessi, Armoured demon sect leaders whole body was covered in armour as he looked like a metal giant. A precarious situation indeed.
Jessi who was in the middle of the barrage of attacks had to defend herself.
Blood seeped out from her mouth, previous injuries started to resurface.
