Book Three: Part 2: Chapter Ten: Ärinna Part Four

Last time, Aoi invited Kaoru, Saffron and Tomoe to Ärinna for the Sunset Festival. They are staying at an old friend's home. She can detect his lust for Kaoru.

The next morning, Cairo and Tomoe were eating before everyone came to the table. Good morning. Samara said. Good morning. Saffron and I replied. Good morning, Samara. Aoi replied. You look horrible, Aoi. Samara said. Ha ha ha. Aoi said. He adverted his gaze. Ärinna is such a beautiful island. Saffron replied. I know. This is one of my birthday destinations. I replied. Oh, your linguist background? Saffron asked. Well, that and my mom would tell me stories of how beautiful this island is. The warm locals and amazing food and beaches. I replied. Your mom sounds like she's well traveled. Samara replied. You could say that. I replied. The boys' look so cheerful. Saffron replied. Yeah, we should go out in town today. Samara replied. That doesn't sound like a bad idea. Ayaz replied. I would love to go into town. Saffron replied. After we eat, we all can go into town. Samara replied.

After breakfast, we went into town.

Saffron and I were eyeing the candy store. They sell Ananas Drops here? I asked. Yes. Ayaz replied. Uhh, pineapple flavor candy. Aoi replied. Do you want to go inside the candy store? Samara asked. Mommy, can I go? Tomoe asked. Yes, I'm going into the candy store too. Saffron replied. Aunt Kaoru too? Tomoe asked. Yes. I replied.

We went into the store.

Ananas drops are so cheap here. Well three bags for me. I replied. What do you mean cheap? Saffron asked. 1110 tirs is very cheap. I replied. It is Keon. 1110 tirs is 186 yen for a bag. Aoi replied. Oh my gosh that is cheap. Saffron replied. Did you convert your money over? I asked. Saffron pulled out a card. Megumi told me to use this card while I'm here. Saffron replied. My mom gave you that card? I asked. Was that card black with golden writing? Ayaz asked. Talk about it later. Aoi replied. Aoi glared. Tomoe, Uncle Ha-Aoi will buy your candy. Saffron replied. Uncle Aoi? Tomoe asked. I'll be buying your candy. Aoi replied. Can I get as much candy in the store? Tomoe asked. Tomoe. Saffron replied. You don't have to worry. I replied. He is testing the waters. Aoi replied. An employee tapped Aoi's shoulder. He turned around and was offered candy samples. Let's try these samples. Aoi replied. Saffron ripped taffy into little pieces for Tomoe to taste it.

After they ate all the samples. Aoi bought Saffron and Tomoe's candy. I can't believe they charge such an exorbitant amount of cash for these at home. Saffron replied. I'm not surprised to be honest. I replied. Me either. Aoi replied. Let's see if I can get Ren something. Saffron replied. Aoi's eye twitched. You know what? I'll get that. Aoi would rather poison himself than do anything or buy anything for Ren. I replied. Thank you. Aoi replied. We went to the next store. Saffron called Ren. Hey Ren, would you like anything from Arinna? Saffron asked. Your in Arinna for the yearly Sun festival? Ren asked. Tomoe and I were invited. Saffron replied. Ok cool. You can bring me back some local candy, I guess. Ren replied. Alright will do. Saffron replied. Hi Daddy. Tomoe replied. I'll call you back later. Bye Tomoe. Ren replied. He hangs up. What he meant was to get the big assortment in my left hand. I replied. So that candy was for him? Saffron replied. Yeah, my brother loves the Arinna's Sun Festival. I replied. Why won't he call off? Saffron asked. I think he has his reasons. I replied. Let's go and met up with the others. Saffron replied. You're right. Knowing Ayaz. Aoi replied. They walk out to the plaza and meet up with Ayaz. Did like the store? Ayaz asked. I got to try all the candy. Tomoe replied. Ayaz chuckles. Saffron sighs. He likes the flavors and even do I. Saffron replied. I'm glad you like them. Ayaz replied. Saffron smiles. Now let's go to the rain forest. Ayaz replied. Rainforest? Saffron asked. That's right, you don't know there is a beautiful rain forest. I think mom is down there with Armani. Aoi replied. Really? I thought Armani went missing. Saffron replied. No he is going to come back with us. Aoi replied. They went down to the rainforest. Hi Aoi and Kaoru! Tomoe! Armani yelled. So you know the night life but not the day activities? Saffron asked. Yup. I will not show you the nightlife here. Aoi replied. Darn. Saffron replied. I chuckled. As we walked, the leaves changed colors. I looked and smiled.
