Book Three: Chapter Sixteen: His Infidelity and the Consequences

Last time, Aoi and Saffron were reunited. Kaoru hides the client's information from Aoi.

A few days have passed since Tomoe spent the weekend at my house. Aoi and I spent the whole weekend with him. When we went to work that next week, Megumi walked up to us. Aoi and Kaoru can you come over please? Megumi asked. Yes mom, what do you need help with? I asked. Remember, the client was Tatsui Ito. Megumi asked. Tatsui greets Aoi and I. Nice seeing you again, Aoi Yoshida and Kaoru Koto. Tatsui replied. Nice seeing you again, Mr Ito. I replied. Tatsui shakes Aoi's hand. Aoi squeezes his hand and smiles. It's nice meeting you too, Mr. Ito. Aoi replied. Aoi let his hand go. Megumi replied. Aoi turned his hand a loose. Clarimond appears. Tatsui, we have been looking for you. Clarimond replies. Aoi glared at her. Clarimond appears with a little boy and a young man. I have never seen him act so petty before. I thought.

Yoshida, my office now! Megumi yelled. Aoi was sent to my mom's office while I interacted with the family. So that's the little boy from years ago. He turned into such a handsome young man. I bet he could bewitch anyone with his charm. Clarimond said. When she said that, I thought about that *night. After he was scolded, they decided Tatsui will stay in Aoi's home. Kagami appears and watched Tatsui and his family. Kagami are you leaving? I asked. Yes Mom and Dad, see you next time. Kagami replies. She summoned her sword and created a vortex and walk through it. Aoi smiles and waves. Tatsui looked at the girl in shock. Kagami waved and smiled. Tatsui had a flashback of Hedone smiling at Aoi, Belle and Saffron. Tatsui was angry and annoyed with them. These three are our pride and joy, Tatsui. Please don't forget that, for my sakes. Hedone replied. As she said that crying with a smile on her face as she left with the three kids. Tatsui turn around and saw Kagami leave. Hedone? Tatsui asked. She is her granddaughter and my futuristic daughter. Aoi replied. Her smile reminds me so much of Hedone's. That's all. Tatsui replied. Now let's be heading to Aoi's place. I replied. Since you are on this job you are staying at his place as well Kaoru. Megumi replied. I got flustered thinking about being around him more than usual. I thought. Yumi clenches Aoi's shoulder. Where did you come from? Aoi asked. If you love life don't try anything with her. Yumi replies. Aoi won't try anything yet. Megumi replied. What do you take me for? Aoi asked. Not yet anyways. My Tempus Magic gives me the gift of clairvoyance, I can see how things play out. Megumi thought. She smiles. As she walked to her office, Hedone is sitting in her chair. You are such a clever and devious woman, Hedone Asmodeus. Megumi replied. Clever no. Devious, that I am. Hedone replied. I need his father to make amends with him for his infidelity. Our divorce took a grave toll on him more than Belle and Keon. Hedone replied. As Aoi arrived at home, Tatsui was shocked at where he lived. This one of Gray's homes. Tatsui replied. Aoi adverted his eyes. He's being petty now. I thought. You can stay in my room Kaoru. Aoi replied. Why? I asked. This house only has three rooms vacant in use, unfortunately. Aoi replied. How many rooms are in this house counting? I asked. Well the counting my room it's six but three are vacant. Aoi replied. Why don't you clean them for more company? I asked. Kaoru, those rooms have not been occupied since my dad lived here as a young man in his twenties. He is now in late forties early fifties. Aoi replied. Why don't I help you? I asked. Aoi looked at me. Can you show me where we are staying? Clarimond asked. You can stay in the room closed to the stairway. Aoi replied. Thank you, for taking on a bodyguard job for me and my family. I know you are still angry with me. Tatsui replied. Aoi walked off. I spoke to your mother a few days ago. Tatsui replied. Aoi walked downstairs to grab some liquor. What kind of liquor are you getting? I asked. Something that will help clear my mind of anger. Aoi replied. Just don't get drunk. I replied. That will never happen. I can handle my liquor other than you. Aoi replied. Shut up. I replied. We both walked downstairs. Clarimond looks at Aoi smile. I haven't seen him smile since he was little boy. That girl is what he needs right now. Tatsui replied.
