Chapter 71

I couldn't possibly stand her anymore. I threw my bag away, scattered everything in my room in order to calm myself down but it wasn't working. I went into the kitchen to destroy anything I could set my eyes on when mum came in. She looked worried and scared due to what her eyes were seeing. I wasn't the type to put the house in such a mess but there I was, destroying everything.

"Son. What's wrong with you?", she asked in a shaking voice. It was obvious she was fighting hard to get closer to me.

"Stay right there please. Don't get closer to me", I warned her falling to the floor angrily. I didn't know why my heart was aching because of her. 'After all I did to her, I had now fallen in love with her. What sort of a demon am I', I thought to myself.

"Please Keenan, talk to your mum. Maybe I can help you out ", she was now standing beside me on the floor. I couldn't control my tears any longer.

"Your mother is here, you can let it all out. It's better than to keep it inside you", she said kneeling beside me .

"Mum I'm sorry", was the only words that I was able to form in my mouth. I didn't know why I was apologizing to her.

"Sorry for what my son? I'm your mother and you don't have to be sorry about yelling at me", she was messing up the points. I wasn't sorry for yelling at her, I was just sorry for an unknown reason.

"Can I ask you a question?", I asked her wiping my tears away.

"You can ask me anything that is bothering you", she replied with a smile.

"Is it good to fall in love with someone you caused so much pain? You made the person go through a lot of pain and because of your actions, she is still fighting in pain in order to get on track? Do you have the right to say you are in love with her?", I asked the questions as anger and guilt were both fighting inside me.

"Darling, we all make mistakes. It's good to learn from your mistakes and correct them than to leave with regret for the rest of your life. You caused her pain because you didn't know your heart will ache for her someday, so now that you long for her, it would be better to let her know about your feelings for her and also the pain you made her go through", mum was really good when it came to relationship counseling. She had a really good point but it didn't seem so easy to do.

"One more thing, if she's unaware you are the reason for her troubles, I'd advice you to let her know before she gets to know about it from someone else. That would be totally unforgivable….. Put yourself together and go freshen up", she said and left to her room.

"Ahhh….I can't do that. I'm not worth her forgiveness and love", I groaned in pain before heading to my room. I filled my bathtub with warm water and jumped into it since it was the best therapy to help thinking.

I really regretted causing Ash so much pain. She was so innocent and lovely even though she sometimes acted rudely, I couldn't stop staring at her for a moment.

'I now believe in karma, it has finally gotten to me', I thought painfully as a smile crept on my face.

I had to gather the courage I had in me and act as mum had advised. I took my phone after leaving the bathroom to call her.

"Hey….urhm…are you busy?", I asked immediately she picked up the call.

"Kee…Keenan? …Ryan…is …", she sobbed in between her words.

"What's wrong with Ryan? Tell me Ash", I couldn't stop myself from asking about what was going on .

"Hospital ", was all I heard before the call hanged up.

'Did she mean Ryan was at the hospital?', I thought . I couldn't wait any longer. I took my keys and drove straight to the hospital where they were.
