Chapter 48

"Anna I'm home" I called out her name even before opening the door. Who I saw sitting comfortably in the couch when I opened the door irritated me.

"Keenan?", I called out his name and he turned to look at me. I walked pass him to my room while hearing footsteps behind me but I thought it was Jennie following so I just moved straight to my room. I threw myself on the bed when I got there with my uniform on. There was a knock on the door and without asking who it was, I just asked the person to come in thinking it would be Jennie or Anna .

"I just said come in ", I yelled when the person was delaying behind the door. The door opened for a while before the person walked in, Keenan.

"What are you doing here, what do you want in my house?", I questioned angrily getting up from the bed.

"I'm ….I'm…..I'm sorry for….for what happened ", he stuttered walking closer to me.

"Hold it there Keenan, don't move any step closer ", I warned angrily.

"Ash can you just listen to me"

"What else do you have to say other than you are sorry?"

"I didn't mean to hurt you, I was furious when I saw you speaking to him earlier"

"So I can't even make friends with whoever I want?…wow Mr president, you are really something "

"That's not what I mean, all I want to say is…."

"Enough Keenan, you know what, just get out of my house", I commanded just like how mum would.

"What about the studies?"

"Well, I can learn on my own", I said and without wasting any time on him, I laid on the bed waiting for him to leave.

"Whatever you want is up to you", I heard and I felt him leaving.

Why I was behaving like that?, I don't know. All I knew and cared for at the at moment was for Ryan to be okay. At the thought of that, I dialed his number to check up on him which he picked immediately the call was forwarded.

"Hello", he was first to speak.

"Hey Ryan, how are you doing?"

"Aislin?", was his response.

"You can just call me Ash since I'm more used to that"

"To what do I owe such a surprise call from you miss Hart?"

"Nothing really, just checking up on you"

"That's very unusual but thanks. I'm fine", he sounded so shocked. If I were to be in his shoes, I would have been shocked too.

"Sure, so what are you doing?", I inquired.

"Nothing really "

"You are just home doing nothing?"

"Yeah, that's my normal life "

"Do you mind coming to my house?"

"You… you mean….I should…"

"I mean if you don't mind to come, I'd send you my address"

"Urhm…."

"I'd be waiting for you then", I said and hanged up.

I had no reason for inviting him over but I guess it would be cool if he came around to keep me company since I asked Keenan out of my house. Jennie walked in after some minutes and was just staring at me.

"What's with that look?", I questioned.

"What's going on between you and Keenan",

"Nothing, I just don't want to see him", I said dragging myself to the bathroom.

"You just don't want to see him? How is that an excuse Ash? He's here to help you"

"Well I don't think I need his help, help is already on the way", I spoke from the bathroom.

"What do you mean by that?"

"You will find out soon Jennie, are you coming to join me or not? The bath is very soothing "

"Sooth yourself ", I heard her say followed by the banging sound of the door.

"Please don't break my door for me"
