Chapter 46
I was really confused as to what was really going on with Keenan but I just had to remain quiet in order to maintain the new kind of friendship I'm having with him so that he wouldn't get me wrong. He let go of my wrist when we got to the entrance of the class.
"What were you doing with Ryan ?", he asked authoritatively. I just kept quiet and continued staring at my wrist which was held by Keenan just a while ago for no reason.
"I'm …. I'm sorry ", he apologized. I remained silent for a while before deciding to speak up.
"No, I'm sorry", I really didn't know why or what I was apologizing for but I just felt it right to do.
"Whatever it is... can you tell me what on earth you were doing with Ryan over there?", I knew he wouldn't stop asking u less I give him an answer. And I also didn't want him to think that I'm colliding with Ryan or something of that sort.
"You remember he fell unconscious and I had to help him gain consciousness right?", I asked innocently.
"And what about that?"
"Well, he just wanted to say thanks for my help that day"
"Don't try to lie to my face Aislin, Ryan will never say such a thing. …. Now tell me, what exactly were you doing with him?", he insisted. I didn't know what to tell him other than what I had already said because that was the truth.
"I don't know what you want to hear Keenan, but that's the truth. He just wanted to thank me.", I told him and walked to class leaving him there.
The fact that I wanted to clear out all the misunderstanding relating to the so called rape case didn't mean he could talk to me anyhow he wanted. I sat in my desk to read a book when I got to class but I felt something tense was happening. When I raised my head to find out what I was, I realized everyone was looking at me, including Jennie and Ryder. The intense stare didn't last long before we head a bang on the door, it was Ryan and Keenan . They were both fighting again but Ryan looked too weak to fight Keenan. Instead of going to separate them before anyone got hurt, they just stood there looking at them. I got so scared and rushed to separate them but even before I got there, I was stopped by a hand, It was Ryder .
"Don't go near them", he cautioned.
"What?…. Can't you see Ryan isn't feeling too well", I fiercely asked him.
"They will stop by themselves, just stay out of it"
"You can't be serious , since no one is ready to stop them, I will stop them", I said and pushed his hand away. Keenan was hitting Ryan so hard that his face got bruised. When I tried pushing Keenan away from Ryan, I was rather pushed back that I fell to the floor.
Before I could process everything, darkness had engulfed me. I just heard them shout my name but I found it difficult to open my eyes to survey the situation.
