Chapter 06

While I was eating my food, my phone begin to ring. When I look over and saw the caller, I hesitated for a moment but nonetheless answered it.

"Manuel, for what reason are you calling?" I immediately asked, not giving him the chance to even simply greet me.

He sigh, "He wants me to be by your side, i don't know for what reason it is but, it was his decision to put me there with you."

Manuel is my friend–strict assistant ever since I was a teen. He is still and will always place a desire and intention to serve me every single day.

"You should go here, It's amazing." I said, expressing my interest.

"Are you perhaps drunk? Why do i feel some emotions within you? This is the first time, Lian." He dumbfounded said.

"Anyway, just come and meet your soulmate here. Who knows, maybe you will become a groom this year." I said, laughing so loudly.

He went silent for a moment, not knowing why, I ended the phone call.

I was utterly shocked when I heard a banging on the door. As if someone is trying to destroy it.

When I open it, I saw a face that I really hated.

The face of my ex-fiance that I never ever loved. It was an arranged marraige, but I broke it as I have no intention on becoming a house wife as I more than capable of surviving than this trash right here.

"How did you know where I was?" I seriously asked.

He just smiled and grab my arm forcefully.

"Stop! W-Why are you doing this?!" I shouted, trying to get his hands out of my hands.

He didn't stop there and even tried to kill me, by choking me as if he don't care if he kill.

"If I can't be with you, then no one else can! no one deserves you, only I!" He obssessedly said.

I was about to lose my conscious when I heard a lot of footsteps towards us.

I saw the Grannies I saw before charging forward, holding different things as their weapons.

That became my hope.

"You ugly trash, Why are you doing outrageous actions towards a beautiful girl!?" They shouted.

"This man really is ugly. I can't believe there exist someone who's ugly as him." They added.

It's not about the looks, but the personality they mean.

Together, they throw such punches and attack him with their weapons. Gabriel lose his balance, endes up giving the Grannies some openings and advantages.

While they were in chaos, My visions were starting to get blurry.

But in the midst of chaos, I was lift up by none other than the man who gave me comfort.

It was Dion, wearing such worried expression.

When I knew he was the one who's holding me, I finally let go and let my mind and body sleep now.

I heard a lot of voices, causing me to wake up.

'The Grannies...Even Elisse!'

When I saw them unharm, I was relieved.

"Didn't Dion carried me?" I ask.

They all turned their head to me, realizing I was awake.

"Erm...Dion has some business overseas to attend to, w-we will try our best to aid you while he's not here." The Grannies said.

I smiled, knowing that I am in these people's arm.

We were all surprised when the door was broken, and a man entered.

'Embarrassing, this is so embarrassing.'

I saw Manuel entering, as if he is being recorded in a slow motion phase.

Nonetheless, he run towards me and talk out of the sudden.

"Are you okay? That psychopath trash—!" He said, raging in anger.

I pinch his ears, "I'm alive and it's all well now. You are too skinny to act like a gangster."

He rolled his eyes and stood up. He faced the elders and even Elisse, bowing sincerely to them.

"I am Manuel, Sincerely thanking you for taking care of Ms.Lynxianna, I promise to treat you all back to whatever you want." He said.

This kid really never rest. Isn't he tired of cleaning after my mess?

A few minutes later, we all watch as Gabriel entered the hospital room, full of scars and things.

He kneeled down, "I apologize for my actions, Lynxianna. It won't ever happened again, I promise that in my life and in my name."

As he said that, I was relieved but was confused.

Who would do something like this to Gabriel? It's not like Dion would do so, we're not that close and he doesn't even know what my relationship with Gabriel.

Furthermore, He has no reason to meddle in my business. As the Grannies also stated that he is away for business.

Nonetheless, I am thankful because he helped me once again.

He became the light that would protect me from the darkness, like even though we don't know each other, he still would do this over and over again.
