Chapter 05

When she finally calmed down, I was relieved. It seems like she's out of tears now, and of course crying over a guy isn't worth it. But you know, I don't wanna say that because they have something they can call 'Memory'.

"Xiann...Thank you." She muttered.

"It's okay, I'm glad you're somewhat okay now." I replied, carefully caressing her hair.

As she leans on my shoulder, I felt like I was a trustworthy human who you can trust. But in reality, I'm just a workaholic trash whom you cannot regard as a human.

"I know I shouldn't cry like this, especially since you also go through the pain of being mistreated here..." She said, looking at me.

I silently laugh, "No, I'm not here to invalidate your feelings. It's okay, Elisse."

As she stared at me, she smiled.

"But you know...they're just afraid of the people who came from a big city. There's an unforgotten history that happened long time ago, so they're like that." She explained.

It intrigued me, I want to know more.

"What happened?" I sincerely ask.

She sighs, "A family tourists visited this place, the villagers really treated them as if this was their place. They always give that family a lot of foods, guides them, and even worry for them. Grannies and the people here are so much kind, that you would feel so guilty of accepting their kindness."

When I learned that, I was suddenly relieved, not knowing why. I guess because I am no longer guilty of questioning myself what did I do wrong to them.

"It was a trauma for them." I answered.

When I said that, she nodded.

"Although they tried to open up their feelings once again to the people who came as a tourists, we always get treated the same. As if we're some kind of trash dogs." She disappointingly said.

It wasn't just a trauma, It was a whole nightmare.

"I finally understand." I said, smiling back to her.

We just talk casually, It's as if we were some sort of childhood friends that didn't meet for a long time.

"Whenever you want to eat snacks, there's a shop near the library so feel free to go there if you want to talk to me, Xiann." She said, standing up.

I nodded my head, and followed her a look of where she's heading.

'It can't be...the shop she means is owned by Dion?'

I stood up and clean my pants, getting ready to go. But I turned my head when a saw a bunch of kids running, and even shouting.

"SISTER XIAN'S KNIGHT IS HEREEEEE, PAVE THE WAAAAY!!"

When I heard what they were saying, I laughed to the to the point of having a difficulty breathing.

What's going on with Zak? why is he with these bunch of kids who's carrying a little swords?

"Sister Xian! Behold, you dont need to worry anymore because we're here to protect you from any emotional, physical, spiritual pain!!" Zak shouted.

I went silent for a moment and just stared at them. It was a wholesome scene that I didn't want to miss.

I took out my camera and captured them having a fierce expressions, as if really protecting me from those harms they mean.

A beautiful memory again.

"Zak, this brat!"

I turned my head and saw a bunch of grannies running towards us holding a stick and some sort of weapons.

When Zak and the other kids saw them, they automatically hide on my back.

"What's wrong, Xian's Knight?" I asked, laughing from their actions.

They were burning with embarrassement as they hide away from the Grannies.

I took out my camera once again and captured the Grannies running towards me to catch these kids.

"Undescribable Memory." I said and smiled.

After the things that happened, I went back to the Inn so that I could rest.

It's only been days but the memories I had already made, left a huge impact on my current life.

'I didn't know I'm smiling happily, and even laughing so hard.'

When I saw every pictures I have captured, all I can say is that it was just really incredible.

I was an only child not until my parents remarried their love ones, leaving me behind. It was tough since childhood, I need to act mature at such a younge so that I could become a role model to their children.

It was unfair. unfair enough that they would spend a lot of time to those children, while I didn't matter at all.

'Why am I reminiscing on the past? Enough of this, Xian.'

Not realizing that tears flowed by in my cheeks, making my eyes red as blood.

'That painful season has ended, it's over now, Lynn.'

"Why do I have to suffer? Why do I have this pain-ass disease?! What did I ever do?!" I shouted.

It was a way of making myself relieved. Shouting the pain that contain my heart.

I was in awe when I heard a noise.

"Who's there?" I ask.

When no one responded, I checked the door.

I was shocked, "Granny...?"

I saw her in a hurry leaving, but when I called her, she stop running.

"Aherm...I-I left a food there, I and the other Grannies made it." She said, leaving me alone.

I look at the food tray and saw a bunch of fresh cooked food, having a note.

- Take care of your body, you have the guts to visit here when you're so sick, coughing a lot of blood, tsk! - From, Grannies in this village.

When did someone ever cook for me? It never happened. and I thought it will never happen.

I picked up the food and entered my room again, feeling excited on eating the food.
