chapter 5 Introduction

Sarah got dressed to go to the office, it was her first day to be at work, she wore a black high waisted cropped pants, a rust coloured top with long sleeve which was accompanied with a nude heels and a taupe bag. she looked perfect on those dresses with her faintly done make up. she tried her best to look cool.

Sarah voiceover: a little bit nervous, just trying to control it, I don't know if you get but I can't express how painful am feeling. I just wanna be strong, not for anyone but for myself and i don't want no one to see cause am constantly reminded that princesses don't cry. (as she gave a smirk and dashed out)

The driver came, picked her up and they zoomed off to the office. she arrived at the building which was fascinating and the people working there all seemed up and about.her gaze was strictly where she was headed. The receptionist and Angela approached her with a smile as they bowed.

Angela took her to the place where the board meeting was held while the receptionist went back to her post, they already had information about her arrival. Her pace was gentle and a bit fast as they took the elevator.

Everyone was present including Noah and his dad, Sarah's dad was also present at the conference room waiting for Sarah in order to welcome her officially to the company and finally she arrived, she elegantly cat walked to the conference room, looking all snatched. All eyes were on her, especially Noah, he was dump founded when he saw her walk towards her dad who was seated next to an empty sit. "good morning everyone, am Sarah George, sorry I kept you all waiting" while smiling faintly as she sat close to her dad. Mr Johnson, Noah's dad stood up and made an introduction, he made everyone known to Sarah, they all gave a handshake but Sarah became uncomfortable when Noah's handshake lasted more than it should, he was dump founded cause he never was expecting that the Sarah he heard about could be this stunning and that offended Noah's dad, which warranted him to intentionally clear his throat so as for Noah to stop fooling around and let go of Sarah's hand "uh... so sorry" Noah apologized as he let go of her hand and sat back at his sit while staring at Sarah, so as Sarah who forced a smile out her lips, pretending it was okay also stole glances at him "em..... Angela here will show you to your office" Mr Johnson said while pointing towards Angela, who was meant to be her assistant "she is your assistant and would guide you on the things you should know, I hope you would like your office when you see it"as he turns to everyone "ok and that will be all for the day" Mr Johnson said as everyone stood up and left, including Sarah's father who heard other businesses to run along to as he exchanged handshake with Noah's father but Mr Johnson demanded that Noah stays behind so that they can talk briefly.

"stay away from her, I wouldn't want to see you flirting around her. she is Bryan's fiancee" Mr Johnson said but Noah gave a smirk and quickly interrupted and in a more serious tone "of course I know she is getting married to Bryan, mum told me about her, so you shouldn't make it look like a big deal and besides, she's not my type" Noah said as he looked away to avoid an eye contact with his father. "I know you too well, and that is why am giving my warning, so you wouldn't make me look stupid Infront of Sarah and her father" Mr Johnson said while Noah rolls his eyes in displease. "come to my office, so you take the files for the project and work on it" Mr Johnson said as he exit the room and Noah falls back to his sit, looking up to the ceiling.

Mr Johnson was the chairman of the company but has always been that way with Noah. they both never see eye to eye on things and that always got Mrs Johnson worried. Sarah left with Angela as Angela started a conversation while on there way to Sarah office "you should come with me, let me show you to your desk" Angela said as they stepped in to her office, it was very wild and well furnished to her taste but though wasn't giving an expression of liking it, she worked around to view the place "Welcome to NX group of company. so what do you think about your new work place?" this question made Sarah a bit uncomfortable as she gave Angela a stare because she didn't like the idea of working with the Johnson's family, all in the name of friendship "how daring" Sarah thought "it's pretty fascinating, I must say, it's way beyond my expectation. I love it." Sarah said "everyone does actually" Angela commented with a friendly faint smile "I will help you get aquatinted with your work place and everything you need to know about the job for a week" but Sarah cuts in immediately"no... no... you don't need to" as the gave a fake smile "that would be a lot of stress to you. you know what? you can just send the details of all I need to know to my PC" Sarah said "okay.... that's my job but since you insist, I will do just that and am always at your service, anytime, any day and a quick reminder, am your assistant, my desk is over there" as she points to the desk opposite Sarah's office while smiling "yeah, noted.... I will be just fine" Sarah said while giving a fake smile "ok if you would excuse me then" Angela said as she turned to leave but stopped to say something "and by the way, I must say, you are definitely an embodiment of beauty. ok I should probably leave" Angela said as she made her way towards the exit.

Sarah dropped her bag in the locker that was under the table and collapsed into the office chair staring up the ceiling as she exhaled deeply. it wasn't up to fifteen minutes, she noticed the file that was sent to her as she began to screen through it.
