Chapter 30 Ares

After his appearance Cyril walked towards him. He was a boy with pitch black hair and eyes as red as blood. He stood at 1.7 meters tall with a spear on his back which was as black as night.

Further down the path one could hear the barking of a dog. It soon came into view it was a pitch black dog with blood red eyes. It stood 1 meter tall and was 1 meter long. 'I am starting to notice a theme here' Cyril thought.

"This is Cerberus a descendant of the wolf Fenrir." Ares said as he gazed at Cyril. His gaze carried fear once he saw the snake and asked "So you've reached the peak of Stage 2?"

"Yes. What does it matter to you?" Cyril asked as he noticed that the dog was special while looking at it and hearing what Ares said. "Well I was the first to reach the peak of Stage 1 and acquired Cerberus. So you must have reached the peak of Stage 2 to acquire that snake considering what your type could be."

"So this is really a descendant of Fenrir!?" Cyril asked "According to the guide. Yes." Ares said.

"Then why are you here?" Cyril asked him. "To join you. You said you could increase a person's strength as well although I like a battle I don't like to be on the losing side." he said while hinting that Crafne would ultimately loose.

"Good choice, as you can see this is what's left of our school." Cyril said "But before I help you. Please sign this contract." Cyril continued.

"Isn't a contract a useless piece of paper now at least for people on our level?" Ares questioned. "Well this is one from 02 it's pretty cheap just 50 shop points. With this if you betray me you will be killed. The contract expires after 2 months. In these 2 months I will check your loyalty and also your strength so if you betray me after 2 months I can deal with you." Cyril said.

Ares was a bit annoyed by this but signed anyway. "So when will we fight them?" Ares asked "When she makes her move. Although she thinks she's smart someone who has eyes yet can't see Mt.Tai is doomed to fail." Cyril replied with.

"Before that though I will test your strength." Cyril said. "Fight me I won't use my sand." Cyril continued as he walked out of the base and a bit down the road while he followed.

The rest of the Cyril's team soon followed while calling up the others to see the fight that was just about to begin. Cyril didn't mind having his schoolmates watch the fight so he waited for them to arrive.

Everyone soon arrived. "We'll keep going till one of us gives up. By the way I suggest you make some room." Cyril said while motioning to the others.

Cyril and Ares soon got into position while Cyril gave Oswald to Jack.

"ON YOUR MARK!"

"GET SET!"

"GO!"

Once Cyril heard go, he coated both his feet and hands in Busoshoku Koka. Due to his increased Agility and Koka he could now run at a whopping 2720 meters per second which was equivalent to Mach 8.

In less than a milisecond Cyril arrived in front of Ares and punched towards him but soon he realized he had aimed for his spear. Still Cyril's punch was ridiculously strong throwing Ares back at least a 100 meters.

Theorectically speaking that punch from Cyril could break a 102 meter thick tree. Meaning he could definitely punch through steal and most metals, maybe even diamond. At this point with Koka Cyril's punches had reached a ridiculous strength enough to blast a small hill into pieces at this point.

Before Cyril could catch up though Ares stopped flying away and slowed down to the point where he was floating in the air. He reached his left hand into the void and pulled out a blood red shield as battle and killing intent burst out of his body.

How he managed to block that strike was a miracle in it's self but now his strength had multiplied. His speed reached 2000 meters per second or Mach 6. Although he was slower than Cyril he still managed to hit him because he caught him by surprise.

His spear thrust out and pierced towards Cyril but Cyril blocked with his hands getting pushed back a meter. Ares strength was now at least double of what Cyril's previous strength was a Cyril could tank his own hits due to Koka increasing his defensive power but with Ares' hit he was sent back a meter.

Enough with the numbers though now the real battle begins.

In response to the spear thrust Cyril vanished and kicked towards the side of Ares' head but he blocked with his shield. This wasn't the end though Cyril continued kicking and punching Ares but it was of no use Ares blocked every hit.

But Ares was started to wear down. He wasn't a peak Stage 2 human as Cyril was but he was quite close compared to the rest of the people on earth. Ares could keep up with Cyril due to his Warmonger Mode which increased his strength exponentially.

After a drop kick which Ares blocked Cyril spun backwards and farted sending him flying towards Ares at high speed punching him in the gut.

Everyone was amazed and disgusted and Ares was flabbergasted he lost to a fart?! "You must use every part of the human body to win. Farts are useful if used correctly." Cyril said with the straightest face he could possibly pull off.

After that Ares admitted defeat and became the permanent base defender. The teams would still have to come to base to defend but just incase Ares was there as well he now lived there.

Cyril had brought him somethings to use. Such as a bed a gas cooker and daily tools. When ever he needed to do something which recquired electricity or water he used Cyril's house.

And so that was how Ares The God Of War joined Cyril and crew. The battle between Crafne was only just beginning though.
