"I know someone who can approve this right away without following the rules. So you only need to sign it. Here's a pen.". Diya turned to look at Ajay. She was confused to see him nodding his head at her. 'He wants me to sign this?!'. Ajay needed to buy some time so Akhil's men can arrive at the scene. But he was not gonna make Diya disobey Sara as she won't hesitate to hurt her.
Diya hesitated but eventually signed the document. Even though, she knew that it was fake but her heart hurt. How is she going to sign the real one in the future?
Sara laughed and forcefully pulled the documents from her hands. "Looks like, your little wife here didn't love you that much. I thought of some ways to torture her if she refused to, what a waste, or not.".
Ajay was alarmed. What did she mean by it? Suddenly, he felt a heavy bolt to his head. He felt everything spinning and he fell with a thud. "Ajay!" Diya screamed. She didn't expect Sara to be so twisted. They miscalculated her.
Ajay sat up with great struggle. "How do you expect me to spare her just like that? She managed to achieve something that I've been dying to have since we were fourteen. I can't forgive her." Sara said and before Ajay could gather his strength to stand up, Sara shot Diya in her shoulder.
Diya screamed in pain. 'This psycho.'. Sara turned to look at Ajay; laughing. "How was it? Wasn't my shot good?". Ajay's eyes were murderous. "You'll die by my hands. Mark my words.". "Let's see who will die first, me or this wench.". She raised her gun again.
"Boss, wait! What is that?". Sara looked at her body and saw a red dot. She took two steps back in fright but the red dot followed her. Bewildered, she turned to Ajay, "You hired a sniper?". Ajay smirked at her, "Put that gun down or I can't guarantee your life. Three... Two... On-". Sara dropped the gun and raised her hands above.
Diya was in so much pain that she couldn't focus on anything that was going on. She only heard a loud 'boom' and footsteps barging in then she slowly lost consciousness. Without wasting time, Ajay rushed to Diya. "I'm sorry. I'm sorry, Diya. Stay with me, please." He picked her up and ran outside.
Ajay saw Karl and Veer running toward him. "Are you okay?". Ajay couldn't answer. Although the doctor said that she was fine, he couldn't calm down. What if Sara had shot her somewhere more critical? What if Akhil's men had come a little later? What if... So many what-ifs went through his mind.
He wouldn't have forgiven himself if something bad were to happen to her. Veer and Karl understood the way he felt and tried to convince him that it wasn't his fault but Ajay didn't listen.
The doctor asked them to go in one by one so they won't disturb her much. Ajay went in first and sat down beside her. He stared at her sleeping peacefully and stroked her head tenderly. After Ajay, Veer and Karl went inside one by one to see her.
