Arthur Leywin:
"Come on, Big Brother, let's go!" Bella said while jumping around me like a kid about to get a present.
"Let's eat breakfast first, Bella, then we can go and train," I said with a sigh.
Since I arrived here two days ago, she has wanted me to teach her new techniques. Usually, I wouldn't mind it, but at least allow me to eat breakfast first!
Do you know what it means to be even one minute late for breakfast? It means Sylv will have enough time to steal my portion of the food, and I can't let that happen again!
When we arrived at the kitchen, I already saw Sylv trying to snatch more food, but a small water ball shot her way and made her back off.
Giving Sylv a smirk, I sat down at the table and started eating a piece of toast with an egg on top while thinking about a plan on how to make a safe place for the Xenos on the surface.
While I could make a village hidden somewhere for them, the chances of a random adventurer finding it were too big, so I needed to figure out a way to make it so only the Xenos and people allowed could enter.
At first, I started thinking about the Relictombs again but quickly scratched the idea due to the difficulty of making them. While I believe I have some Djinn blood and should be able to guide Aether to help me. Making something as advanced as the Relictombs for just me is too difficult.
After trying to scale it down, I remembered the sanctuary the Dicathens hid in after the war. While I couldn't remember the details, I think it was made so that it would make people not want to enter it. It was like making them believe they were walking for a long time or making them so scared that they would run away.
This idea could work, but I would need more time to think about it and get a better grasp on Aether. While I don't have an Aether Core, I could still try and learn how to guide it to assist me, but the problem is that I don't know how to get the spellforms.
If I remember correctly, the God Runes Arthur got were just higher forms of the spellforms. But the problem is that Arthur could directly manipulate Aether from his core, so he could skip the whole step of guiding Aether.
But was it the Aether Crystal containing the memories of the Djinn that gave him the runes, or was it just his insight into that branch of Aether that gave it to him?
"Are you finished? Can we train now!" Bella's voice snapped me out of my thinking, and I looked down at my plate only to see it empty.
Looking to my left, I saw Sylv munching on my food. Noticing my gaze, she just smirked and continued eating.
I sighed, thinking how much I still had to learn.
---
"Don't just charge in without a plan like that," I said, tripping her, and she fell head-first onto the grass.
A problem I noticed is that she gets frustrated after she can't hit her opponent for a while and starts charging without thinking. While this wouldn't be a problem against low-level monsters, she can't do that on the lower floors or against adventurers.
So my goal before we return to Orario is to train it out of her by making her taste the grass.
"You're enjoying this, aren't you!" She yelled at me with grass in her hair and mud on her face, angry because I did it for the seventh time today.
"What! Me? No, this is for the greater good..." I said but couldn't hold in the laugh while looking at her.
Okay, I'm maybe enjoying this a bit too much, but this is for the greater good... Yes, totally for the greater good, not just to have a laugh.
"Youuu..." She growled, seeing me laughing, charging at me only to meet the grass again...
"See, you would have been killed if this was a real fight," I said this time, completely serious, so she would understand how important this was.
"If you can't control your emotion during a fight, one small mistake can lead you to death..." Sighing, I sat down and continued.
"I know you want to enter the dungeon, but you must learn these things... I have made those mistakes but was lucky the people around me were good... So that's why I need you to learn and don't make the same mistakes I've made... Let's take a ten-minute break and continue."
After I said that, she looked deep in thought, so I let her be. She must figure it out herself while I here can guide her now. I won't be there forever.
After the short break, we continued sparing, and I could see that she was improving. I'm happy she is a quick learner. Learning from one's mistakes and adapting quickly is the best way for an adventurer to survive.
"Art, do you think I will be able to use magic as you do?" She asked me after our training session.
"I'm sure you will... From my understanding, the Falna works on your desire, so it's possible." I told her, but the chances of her gaining a magic skill like mine are almost none.
But my understanding of the falna is small. If I remember correctly, the OG Bell got his skill due to wanting to be as strong as Ais, so she could get a magic skill that would allow her to manipulate an element. The only skill I would be similar to my magic is Ariel, basically allowing the user to manipulate the wind. But Ais got it due to being the daughter of the Wind Spirit Aria.
