Chapter 19: Angry Bella
Arthur Leywin:
I woke up early morning and took a warm shower, something I couldn't do in the dungeon.
While I used water magic to get a quick shower, nothing would beat taking a slow relaxing shower, especially when no monster is trying to attack you while naked...
I need to forget that...
After all this time I spent fighting monsters, it's time to take a small break and visit Bella and Grandpa.
I was supposed to visit them after I returned from the dungeon dive but got slightly delayed... At least I returned without major injuries, just small scars.
But what made me smile was the cracks around my core. Thanks to Remis's help, I got enough magic stones to almost break into High Silver.
Turning off the magic-stone-powered shower, I dried myself with fire magic and put on my clothes.
My current outfit was similar to the one I had before. Loose black long-sleeved shirt with a cloak lined with soft white fur around its hood. A pair of black pants, soft leather shoes, and my sword strapped to my waist.
What can I say... I like black clothes, and the cloak reminded me of the one Grey had in Alacrya, so I bought a few...
After putting them on, I left my apartment and approached the gate, where I passed without any problems.
After being a bit away from Orario, I started augmenting my body and using wind magic to increase my speed.
Enjoying the cold air, I started thinking about what happened yesterday... Not only did Ryuu kiss me, but apparently, Sylvie learned how to talk normally without using mental communication. It's going to be an awkward meeting next time.
"Does Ryuu know you can speak now?" I asked her, slightly moving my head to the right to see her.
"No, I wanted to tell you first." She said with a proud face that looked slightly arrogant, but it looked too funny in her fox form.

Freya:
"Lady Freya, we have gotten reports that Arthur Leywin has returned from the dungeon"
This made me quickly stand up from my throne and look at Ottar, ready to go and meet my Odr again.
"Where is he? I need to see him now!" I can't let him disappear again!
"Ykhmmm... He left Orario..."
"..." He left? HE LEFT!!!

Arthur Leywin:
As the house came into view, I saw Bella doing her daily training with the Short Sword I bought her a few years back.
Deciding to pull a small prank, I created a quick Illusion to make myself invisible, and when I was close enough, I conjured a water ball and dropped it on her.
When the water hit her, she shrieked loudly and jumped. As she was looking around, I couldn't hold it anymore and started laughing with Sylvie.
The illusion started flickering due to this so Bella could see us, and her expression changed many times before she picked up her sword and slowly walked towards me with a smile that didn't reach her eyes.
"Hello, Big Brother..." She paused for a while before continuing. "...You know you made grandpa and me worried when you didn't visit for over half a year."
"Bella, I can explain!" I said, dodging the swing while Sylv jumped off me and ran inside the house.
"You can explain afterward." She said and continued to attack me, so I drew my sword and reinforced it after seeing the blade again. The sword was chipped, dull, and looked like it would brake at any moment. I seriously need a Durandal-enchanted weapon...
Not thinking about the sword for now, we continued for almost an hour until Bella was tired.
With my and Grandpa's help, she became efficient in using a sword and could easily fight against monsters. She only needs real-life experience now so she doesn't freeze in the middle of a fight.
"You two should get in. Dinner is ready." Turning around, I saw grandpa watching us.
"Good to see you, gramps." I said and hugged him before entering the house.
We made our way to the table, where the food was already placed, and Sylv was already eating her share.
"So why didn't you visit us for so long?" Grandpa asked, and Bella glared at me with an expression that told me it would bring pain if she didn't like the answer.
"Well, you see, the dungeon dive I went on before I was planning to visit you, well... didn't go as planned..." When I started explaining everything that happened, excluding the Xenos. Mostly because of Bella, I don't think she should know about them yet.
During my whole explanation, their expression changed. Bella's changed from the angry one to being worried and sometimes even having stars in her eyes, completely forgetting how dangerous it was.
While grandpa was very interested in the floors and monsters, I encountered on the previously unexplored floors.
"And that's why I couldn't visit sooner..." I finished retelling everything.
"I didn't think the floors would look like that." He said while looking like he was reminiscing about the past.
"Brother brother, could you tell me the part when you fought those monsters again!" Bella asked, practically jumping around the room with stars in her eyes.
"Papa, you forgot about the part when mama kissed you..." Sylv said while snickering.
While I looked at her with a betrayed expression, Bella and grandpa looked at her with surprise. But it didn't take long for them to recompose themselves, and Bella looked at Sylv, and the stars in her eyes intensified.
"Sylive can talk!" She shouted while pointing at her while Sylvie just made a smug expression.
"Sooooo... who's this mama?" Grandpa asked, interested in knowing who this mama Sylv was talking about more than Sylvie talking.
"It's none of your concern, old man..." I said but looked in the other direction. This made him burst into laughter.
"Ahhh... To be young..." He said, wiping a tear.
A small smile formed on my face as I thought about how I missed this while being stuck alone in the dungeon. While at the same time, I'm thankful I got stuck there. If not for the crystal sending me so deep down the dungeon, I wouldn't progress my core to almost High-Silver in this short amount of time.
Taking one last look at the stone stuck in my hand, I quickly wondered what the future held for me and went back to eating before Sylvie had the chance to steal my food.
