Chapter 25

The dungeon looked completely different. The vast field of grass that Ethan saw from the first floor since he entered the slime dungeon was nowhere to be found. What he saw were a lot of huge island floating in the sky. He himself was on top of one of the floating islands. Above him and below him, all were floating islands. There were a few kinds of these floating islands. There was a normal island with grass and small rivers of waterfall like the one where he was standing, there were islands with lots of lava flowing, islands with deserts, small canyon and islands with small lakes. All these islands were moving. There were some that moves fast and some that moves slower, but they were all moving in an orbit, circling something.

Ethan saw far above him that there was something or structure that seems to be the place where all these floating island orbiting. The structure was too far, so Ethan can't see it well. Other than that, some of these floating islands emit a pillar of light. There was no light pillar at the island where Ethan was.

"The monster general… That light pillar use to be the place where the floor boss can be found. The floor boss is now a monster general so that light pillar must be where the monster general is," said Ethan. "The System said that the monsters are now stronger than before and that means the monster generals is stronger than the floor boss from before, sigh," Ethan sighed. "I had a hard time to even defeat a normal slime and now they become stronger. Is it better to get out of this dungeon now… That's right! Maybe the others already went out of this dungeon. System, I want to get out of this dungeon," said Ethan.

'Ting~ The dungeon is now lock from anyone who wants to get in or out. It is impossible to get out'

"I suddenly lose my energy… I need to find Lilia, Wafu and Gooey… There was so many floating islands and I don't even know how to get there. Do I need to jump from one island to another?" said Ethan. "I think for now I need to search this island first. Maybe there are someone else here and maybe we could work together to get out of here," said Ethan.

"I should start moving now!" Ethan suddenly stopped and remember something. "That's right, I can use my fusion special skills now." His special skills time limit had passed, and he can use it again. Ethan quickly use his special skills and raised his power.

Ethan used fusion skills and fuse his water ball skill with another water ball and reduce the MP consumption to 10 per attack. He used talents absorbs and increased his dagger, water and cooking talents to 5% and his sewing and language talents increase to 3%. Due to talents absorbs special effects, Ethan's dagger arts: triple slash attack increased to 10, water ball attack increased to 25 and his cooking: roast mastery increase to 2/10.

"Now I can fuse my equipment. I bought powerful daggers before and wanted to fuse them to make them much stronger to increase my strength in battle and now I can finally do it," Ethan took out 2 daggers different than the dagger he fused before and used fusion equipment but nothing happened. The System suddenly rang.

'Ting~~ Limiter special effects activated. User can only fuse the weakest equipment to create stronger equipment and user can only use that equipment in battle'

"What the-!" Ethan was holding his head frustrated with what happened. "Ugh~ I never thought Limiter will have special effect too. So, I can only use my iron dagger when fighting? This is bad. I thought I can increase my firepower tremendously with this expensive dagger, but it is not happening," suddenly an idea pops up in his head. "What if I use this expensive dagger as the material to increase my iron dagger attacks,"

Ethan took out his appraisal equipment and appraise the expensive dagger. The dagger name was Blaze dagger. This dagger was red in color and possessed fire element imbue in it. Its normal attack was 100. Not really a strong weapon but a weapon with an element inside it was expensive as it was hard to create it. This weapon can inflict fire damage.

"Let's fuse them," Ethan took out his iron dagger and fuse the iron dagger and blaze dagger.

'Ting~ Fusion successful' the System notified Ethan. The new dagger did not look much different than the iron dagger he used to use. Ethan appraised the newly fusion dagger.

Iron Dagger+2 – Atk+120 – form change: blaze dagger MP10 10min (+fire element)

"Atk+120! Yes! My power increases a lot," Ethan was filled with joy. "Form change? I can change my dagger. Form change," the iron dagger change into blaze dagger. "Nice! It used my MP, but this is worth it," Ethan looked back at the dagger and saw something else, "What is this empty slot?"

'Ting~ That is a skill slot. You can put a skill in the weapon' The System notified Ethan and his eyes wide opened. "Is this normal?" said Ethan.

'Ting~ Fusion Equipment special effects. When an equipment stat passes a certain range, a skill slot will be created. Only skill related to the equipment can be fill in the skill slot. First skill slot will be open when the equipment stat reach 100'

"Whoa… The System answer my question?... Let's fill the skill slot," Ethan stopped thinking too much about The System and took skill Null: Stab from his storage. "This skill will work… I think," Ethan brought the skill near his dagger and…

'Ting~ Do you want to use Null: Stab on the iron dagger?' The System asked Ethan. "Yes" Ethan answered, and the skill disappeared from his hand. 'You can now use Null: Stab with the iron dagger'

Ethan quickly appraised his iron dagger and at the skill slot showed Null: Stab atk+15 Limit: 5 per day. "No MP? Great. So, skill I learn myself use MP but no limit but skill inside the weapon has limit but no MP. But 5 per day is more than enough," said Ethan satisfied. "I want to try using this dagger now, with 120 atk, I can kill a slime with 1 hit… maybe."

After he decided to test his new iron dagger+2, Ethan quickly walked around the island to find a slime and after 10 minutes of looking, he found the slime he met earlier. The brown slime with shape of a mole. The mole slime noticed Ethan and quickly went underground. Ethan thought the mole slime was running away so he was disappointed, but the mole slime suddenly burst out of the ground from below Ethan. Ethan barely managed to evade.

"I thought you were running away," said Ethan with a serious face. Ethan casted water ball and shot it towards the mole slime. Ethan's water ball was straightforward and slow, so the mole slime easily evades it and run straight to Ethan with its big claw pointed towards Ethan. Ethan remember this attack before and rather than blocking it, Ethan jumped forward and used Stab to counter the mole slime attack. The skill hit and both Ethan and the mole slime quickly retreated and gained their distance. The mole slime showed an annoying face due to the counter attack and Ethan smile although the skill did not damage the mole slime much.

The mole slime was a brown slime that took shape of a mole. The brown slime had high defense and that was why it only took small damage. "That's weird, I thought I will damage it more but the attack I made just now did not seems like a 120 atk," Ethan found it weird that a weapon with atk+120 only cause small damage. "This slime is probably around the same level as me," said Ethan.

The mole slime body suddenly enveloped in faint light. "Skill?" Ethan quickly rush forward to stop the mole slime from using its skill. He uses form change and change the iron dagger to blaze dagger and Stab the mole slime. Ethan use the blaze dagger because he thought maybe the 120 atk only worked with the blaze dagger. A 'Clink' sound was made when the dagger reached the mole slime body. "Tch! Rock body but now you can't move," Ethan remembered Lilia said before that when the brown slime used rock body, they cannot move their body. While Ethan was thinking that, something went towards his head. Shocked, Ethan blocked that and flew away.

"Kuh, that-that is his hand?" Ethan looked towards the brown slime and the brown slime was moving though slow. "The monster really becomes stronger," Ethan showed a serious face.

The mole slime stretch his hands forward and a ball of rock form and shot towards Ethan. Ethan dodged the rock ball, "an attack magic," Ethan also quickly use his water ball and shot the mole slime and this attack hit the mole slime. Although the mole slime defense increased but his speed went down tremendously and a slow attacked from Ethan can easily hit him compare to before. The mole slime was writhing in pain.

"Water is your weakness and with your speed I can easily hit you," Ethan shot lots of water ball and 3 minutes later the mole slime died.

"That was harder than I thought, and I got lucky," said Ethan. Ethan grabbed his dagger and looked at it, "Why my attack is not strong?"

'Ting~ Another Limiter special effects. User can only use the effects of equipment up to the same amount of user stat'

Ethan read the notification and his face fall down, "Sigh, Limiter again."
