Hiding their marriage

"I have asked someone to check it for me. I will know by tomorrow." Tracy was sure that she would find everything about her and then she will teach her a lesson for eyeing something that was beyond her league.

"Let me know if you need any help. I will talk to you later." Margret was a little disappointed at Tracy's incompetence. She couldn't even find out about the identity of the woman and was still blabbering nonsense here. She disconnected the call feeling exasperated and threw her phone in anger from the balcony itself.

"I have to do something. I can't keep waiting. As soon as uncle Nicholas returns, I will talk to him. You can only belong to me Daniel and no one else." Margret gritted her teeth and walked inside to find something that could divert her mind.

Tracy tossed her phone aside and sat there sipping her whisky. She would plan accordingly after she received the information.

Daniel was busy on a video conference when he looked at Sophia who was typing on her laptop with a smirk. Her fingers danced nimbly on the keypad and her eyes twinkled with amusement. He wanted to ask her what was so interesting but he was in the middle of a meeting so he held back.

Sophia got an alert when someone tried to hack into their company database. She toiled with them and at the same time looked into the intruder's identity. It didn't take her much efforts to trace it back to Tracy and she smirked. Sophia hid her relationship with Daniel and provided the intruder access to the basic information.

Sophia wanted to see what all Tracy is up to. But at the same time, she didn't want her to know about their relationship. There wasn't any particular reason but it was just her hunch that they were better off without revealing their marriage to Tracy, for now.

When she was done, she stretched and looked up towards Daniel and he too turned towards her and they both exchanged a smile. Sophia looked at the clock which showed that it was almost 8 o'clock in the evening and she stood up as she was done with her work.

"I will be outside in the garden. Come and join me when you are done." Sophia mouthed to Daniel who gave her a node of understanding. She took her laptop and walked out, closing the door behind. Daniel looked at the closed door and focused on the meeting.

The people in the meeting saw him being distracted in between but when he pointed out their mistakes accurately and sharply, they were left speechless at the level of his multi-tasking skills. He was clearly looking somewhere else and he even gave a nod to someone as if he was talking to them but still, he didn't lose his focus from the meeting.

Joe knew who he must be looking at and he smiled internally but maintained a poker face. He looked at the people being reprimanded for their mistakes and shook his head at their stupidity for even thinking that they would escape just because their boss wasn't looking at them. He knows Daniel better than them and their boss has always been a perfectionist.

Joe's phone vibrated in his pocket and he subconsciously took it out, forgetting that they were sitting in a meeting.

Daniel was about to scold him when he saw Joe looking horrified and then surprised. Daniel thought what it might be when Joe looked at him through the camera lens and Daniel understood it was more important than the meeting.

"We will continue the meeting next time. Make sure to rectify the intern level mistakes that you have committed. Meeting is dismissed." Daniel looked at the people who looked down and didn't dare to have an eye contact with him. He gets really angry when they overlook the things and that too being the senior members of the company. He paid them in f*cking millions and hence he expects serious business not time pass on their part.

After giving them a warning with his hawk like gaze, Daniel disconnected the video call and picked up his phone which has the message that Joe just forwarded.

Daniel was so angry seeing the contents of the message that he wanted to beat the shit out of that stupid woman from earlier, despite the fact that he never raised a hand on a woman but if someone harms his wife then he won't care about the so-called morals at all.

Tracy dared to investigate his wife and she thinks no one would know. He wasn't playing houses being the mafia king. He has earned the power to protect his family while working his ass off without a care about his life or death, over half a decade.

He didn't read the whole text as he wasn't patient enough after reading the first half and he gave Joe a call.

"I don't want any information about our marriage to be leaked at all. I don't care if you have to kill the people involved but I don't want a word about our marriage to reach country R for now." Daniel wanted to announce to the world that Sophia is his wife and he is already taken. He wanted to be known as someone who is claimed by his wife in all senses but it wasn't the time yet.

Daniel hasn't yet revealed his background to Sophia and he feared that if she gets to know about it from someone else then it would only backfire. He will tell everything himself but at the right time. She has just started to fall for him and he didn't want to ruin it. He would wait for the time, when she is head over heels for him just like he is for her and only then, he will tell her everything so that she won't abandon him.

He knows that he is being selfish but now he won't let go of her ever. She will always be his wife as long as he is alive and his widow after his death. He is not a good person and he never claimed to be one.
