Despite the fact that there is a lot of pressure and responsibility becoming barangay officials, many people want to become one of them. Being a Brgy. official you will encounter a lot of problems, like juvenile delinquency, and you will need to put in some time and effort to get a solution and prevent things from happening in the future, not for you but for your community, and become effective as a leader. Like what Kouzes, J.M., and Barry Z.P. (2023) said. Leaders create a vision for the future by considering inspiring and empowering possibilities.. You need to make something happen, change the way things are, and create something that no one else has ever created before.
Making communities safe is not easy; it takes work, beginning with identifying offenders. One of the problems in a barangay is a case where the child is involved in an offense. Some youths are more prone to committing crimes because their parents don't pay enough attention to them; thus, some of them engage in other activities to attempt to get their attention. Other factors include peer pressure, family problems, financial difficulty, environmental influences, and substance abuse, and some of them require people to do unnecessary things that can alter their way of life.
