Private tutor.

The scythe. A new weapon I have decided to train with. It looked magnificent. Entrancing even. I wielded this weapon, spinning it for momentum for it to then crash down with immense force. A blow which could shatter the earth below.

I was currently in the training room and I haven't a clue how long I've been practicing with this scythe. Sweat was dripping down my body and some down strands of my hair which was all messy yet tied into a ponytail.

"Kiera, classes start tomorrow. You need to sleep, you haven't stopped training for two days. Your mother also sent a letter but first go take a shower." I heard Catherine say which snapped me out of training mode.

"Really? I trained for two days did I, oh well. I'll check out the letter later I've got an idea of what it's about." I said as I spun my scythe round and stopped it by my side with the tip of the curved blade facing the floor.

I transformed Adonis back into its gem and exited the training room. I headed off to the bathroom with a new pair of clothes and thoroughly washed myself.

Stepping out if the bathroom my eyes met with Tess's as she flashed me a smile before turning her head away.

I payed no mind to her as I went over to the balcony and didn't bother using magic to dry my hair leaving it damp with the towel around my neck. It was currently night time with stars littering the sky and a full moon shining on my face as I leaned on the balcony's railing.

I decided to check my status and see my progress with the scythe.

I stayed out on the balcony until I felt I should head to sleep. Despite training for two days I didn't use up too much stamina but I still felt a little tired.

I headed inside and laid on my bed after pulling the covers off so I could get in. I discovered that both Tess and Catherine had already went to sleep when I came in so I thought they slept rather early. Well for me at least.

I woke up to some chirping of birds and I sat up right in my bed. Looking at the clock it displayed 7:01am so I got out of bed. I opened up my wardrobe which held various outfits mother had bought me and my uniform as mother felt confident I would pass. I took off the uniform from the hangers and placed it on the bed.

I walked over to the bathroom where I washed myself and then exited to put on my uniform. It fitted perfectly and was made very nicely. After I finished getting ready I just left. Tess had already gone and Catherine was still sleeping. She was probably woken up before but just decided to go back to sleep.

I walked out into the hallways where I saw other students exiting from their dorm rooms and making their ways downstairs just like me. I soon exited the dorms and walked over to the school. There was a board up with instructions for the new students. 'Make your way to the training ground where you did your physical test for an assembly.' I read in my mind.

Just as the board instructed, I made my way to the training grounds. Upon walking onto the training grounds I encountered a swarm of people all waiting patiently in front of a single man at the front behind the microphone.

I stood behind the crowd and waited for the assembly to start which only took 5 minutes.

"Welcome all new students! I am this schools headmaster! I hope you are all ready for this new term to start and are ready for all of the struggles ahead! As you are all aware this is Kerose Academy, here we will not allow any bullying against other races and would like for all of you to get along! Should any of this be discovered you will be expelled!" The man started.

'Boring.'

"You will be handed a copy of your schedule which you can change in a week to your preferences! Some of you may already know this but there are private tutors!"

The crowd of students started to pay attention to this.

"These private tutors will be given to the top 10 students of your year so you get 1 on 1 teachings! You can pick who you want from among the staff! Now for all the other students you will have set tutors for your lessons but do not worry every teacher here is well above average in their respective area of expertise! Will the top 10 from the entrance exams stay here and the private tutors will be here soon, you may pick one you wish to teach you! That is all! This was not much of an assembly but a welcome to this academy! I hope for you all to do well! Good luck and try your hardest!" The headmaster finished before leaving rather quickly.

I waited as all students except 10 left the training grounds.

"Hah what a waste of time, you are all weak aren't you? I got A* on every test coming in 1st! Don't ask for me to be your friend you useless waste of space." I heard a loud voice coming from a boy in our group of 10.

"I'm sorry." I heard another boy say back.

"You came in 1st what a joke! You came 8th! Don't lie to yourself." I heard a girl say.

"I'm the one that came in first so I'd appreciate if you stopped saying you were." I said looking at the boy.

"Hahaha a weak little girl like you? Try me." The boy said back. He had brown hair and brown eyes with average looks.

"Weak? Go on you can take the first hit." I say back to him.

"Haha what an idiot!" He said as he leaped forwards in an attempt to punch my face.

I simply held up my hand and caught his fist.

"That all?" I asked as I watched him go red.

'What is he so pressed about? I just said the truth. Some humans are really weird.' I thought to myself.

"Stop all of you!" I heard a shout coming from 10 instructors that came over.

I dropped the boys hand which he then tried to use, despite the instructors being here, to punch my gut.

"Stop it." I said looking at him straight in the eyes with a commanding tone.

"Boy if you don't stop trying to hit that student you will be replaced with someone else so choose your actions wisely." A man with a bald head and grey beard said.

"She started it!" He shouted.

"Well then what did she do?" He asked the boy who was still red in anger for no reason.

"She said she was 1st place which she obviously wasn't."

"Oh and you were? If I remember correctly you were 8th place? Am I wrong?" The man asked.

"Tch."

"Well we will start with 1st place, Kiera, please choose your tutor." I heard someone familiar say so I looked at them. It was Scarlet.

I looked through all their statuses and decided on who was best. It was Scarlet, she was a peak A - rank adventurer.

"Scarlet." I said.

"Very well Kiera. I shall be your tutor from now on." Scarlet replied with a smile. "Be prepared because I will train you until you can't feel your limbs."

"Of course." I said back as Scarlet gestured for me to follow her, so I did.

As we walked away I felt several eyes on me including that boy from before who seemingly got angry from anything and Tess's.

'Why is Tess watching me I wonder.' I thought as Scarlet stopped at another training ground.

"Show me what you can do." She said taking a stance.

"Very well. Master." I said transforming Adonis into a Scythe.
