Preparing for the first live stream(short chapter)

Sitting down on my revolving chair. Looking at the countdown on the screen of my computer. I pondered what the hell am I even doing.

What could prompt me to suddenly start streaming as an anime girl?

Well, my grandpa always said:" If you don't know what it's about, it's probably about money", a wise man indeed.

Actually, I got an offer to live stream for at the very least 20 hours this week for money, a lot of money. At first, I thought it was a scam. So I respectfully declined.

But they didn't give up and not long after sent another email. This time they seem to be more sincere and actually apologize for a bug that let me stream before. Saying that they already fixed it.

To show how sorry they are. The contractor decided to increase my pay and gave me other better conditions.

I was still rather skeptical at that time. But made a little research. To make sure that the contract they sent me and the email address and all the other stuff is legit.

It was, making me a little surprised. On the other hand, I kinda know why they probably wanted me to stream more.

The video went viral. Isn't it like a free advertisement?

However, I refused again. It wasn't like I didn't want to try...This amount of money even made me hesitate. But in the end, I am not for the task.

Entertaining people, being funny, and most of all I am afraid of speaking only the Lorecean language. (It's in the contract)

Actually, Kate got full marks for the Lorecean at the end of high school and other than my main language. I know it the best.

Still, it isn't perfect, and sometimes my accent will come out....

I thought it will be the end of our conversation. Yet, I got a message if am I willing to talk about it. Saying that we will surely come to some kinda compromise.

I hesitated...in the end. I created a new account on the communication app and give him the link.

After like 2-3 minutes someone joined a chat. He? was actually she. Expressing her desire for cooperation and a bunch of other stuff.

I was awkward at first but gained my confidence back. When our conversation was going smoothly without any difficulties, with communication on my side.

After some idle talk, I finally got to the point. Saying that I have never live stream before and that my language isn't perfect. I was quite honest, I didn't want to give people a wrong idea.

She just said I shouldn't worry and just be myself like, I did before on the video. When it comes to my language it's s superb so I shouldn't be concerned about that. Even to the point of saying that I sound like a native speaker.

She knows how to boost someone's ego...Anyways it made me consider that maybe, I can do this.

Nevertheless, if they are so desperate to get me. I will not sell myself cheap.

Like this, we started a long couple of hours negotiation...

That was yesterday and today, I got info that the official start of the platform will start sooner.

Today...

Actually, it already started an hour ago but I was a little shy to start.

Finally, I just planned the start of the live stream. So there is no way for me to chicken out.

So yeah...

This is how I got here.

Coming back to the negotiations they were quite successful. Achieving to shorten my 20 hours to only 10 and increasing my pay...Yeah, I am greedy.

I prepared one game for a stream and I practice with a mirror a little. I hope that will be enough.

'It will obviously not be enough' I thought in my mind.

Well, I should have taken some calming pills before starting this. Now it's too late.

I looked at the screen portraiting a girl with unusually pale skin, deep red eyes, and ears that someone could describe as elven but much shorter. When I opened my mouth. I actually got fangs too.

I had some fun creating this character yesterday...

I discovered that you can use a model when streaming. This of course costs a lot, to make one. So I didn't have a choice but to make a full scan of my body and then modified it a little.

This is actually recommended. So the movements I do will look more lifelike.

If you import a model and you are much different in real life, problems can occur.

Actually, I didn't have to change a lot to make myself look like a vampire.

I just accented some parts to make myself more like it. The other things, I left like they were. The changes you can make are still quite limited.

So it's like me but a vampire version, I guess.

Yea cool, that's definitely not the only reason I did it in the first place.

Looking at the screen again. I stopped spinning on my revolving chair.

"Oops, did we start already?"

I said aloud as I saw that countdown already disappeared.

"Hi"

I said waving my hand to the camera.

Well, I will just roll with it. I will get paid anyways, so let's take it easy.
