Hello, Cousin

Zhou Xia turned around and looked in the direction of the sound. A total of two people had arrived, and one of them should be Qin Huaichuan. She had seen his photo on Baidu yesterday. There was another man. Zhou Xia was stunned when she saw his face.

It was Shen Lin. When Wei Chen saw who it was, he quickly stood up and walked up to Qin Huaichuan, "President Qin, you're here. Miss Zhou has been waiting here for quite a while."

Qin Huaichuan nodded and waved his hand as a signal for Wei Chen to leave. He then said to Zhou Xia, "I'm sorry, Miss Zhou. I had some private matters to attend to. I have delayed your time." 

Then, he looked at Shen Lin who was standing behind him. He then introduced, "This is Shen Lin. This is Miss Zhou Xia."

"No need for introductions, we know each other." Shen Lin suddenly interrupted Qin Huaichuan. His deep eyes were fixed on Zhou Xia's face.

Zhou Xia was shocked. She felt that Shen Lin's eyes were so cold that they could kill someone.

Qin Huaichuan looked at Shen Lin's unhappy face in confusion. He then turned around and saw Zhou Xia's awkward expression. He asked in disbelief, "You really know each other?"

"Yes, we do."

"Yes," Shen Lin answered coldly. He walked to the opposite side of the table and sat down. "I'm hungry. I'll order first."

Qin Huaichuan instructed Wei Chen to get the waiter to take their order. When he passed by Zhou Xia, he said politely, "Please have a seat, Miss Zhou." 

Zhou Xia nodded. With a heart full of questions, she looked back and forth between the two of them from the corner of her eye. 

Shen Lin and Qin Huaichuan actually knew each other? And they looked very familiar with one another too?

"Since Miss Zhou knows Shen Lin, let me reintroduce him to you. Shen Lin and I are cousins." Qin Huaichuan took the initiative to explain. Zhou Xia suddenly realized why she found Qin Huaichuan familiar when she was searching for him on Baidu. He did look similar to Shen Lin.

"Hello, cousin," Zhou Xia greeted him sweetly. Her thoughts were simple and direct. She was now asking for help, so there was nothing wrong with her being sweet.

Qin Huaichuan and Shen Lin were stunned when they heard the word 'cousin'. Looking at their surprised gazes, Zhou Xia thought to herself, 'Oh no, did I call Qin Huaichuan incorrectly?' 

"Did I address you the wrong way?" Zhou Xia asked nervously. 'Should I call him younger cousin then?'

Qin Huaichuan laughed out loud. He glanced at Shen Lin and explained, "You're not wrong. I'm indeed his cousin. You call me 'cousin' because Shen Lin calls me that?"

Zhou Xia was dumbfounded. How could she have forgotten about this?

Shen Lin suddenly stood up. He walked around the table and approached Zhou Xia. Zhou Xia looked at him warily. 

What was Shen Lin doing? Didn't she just call Qin Huaichuan by the wrong name? She thought that Shen Lin was angry because she didn't treat him as an outsider and greeted him like that.

Shen Lin did not answer her. He kept looking at her from head to toe. He seemed to be checking something. Zhou Xia felt uncomfortable under his gaze. Shen Lin's gaze was as piercing and stern as the dormitory supervisor who was checking for prohibited items. Zhou Xia felt like a college student who had stolen prohibited items in her dormitory. "What are you staring at me for?" Zhou Xia asked.

"You're wearing perfume, and your hair is especially curled," Shen Lin said coldly. He took the menu away from Zhou Xia and sat down on the seat next to her. He opened the menu and turned away.

Zhou Xia secretly rolled her eyes at him and silently cursed him in her heart.

At that moment, Wei Chen and the waiter pushed the door open, and the meal arrived. Shen Lin glanced at the menu and closed it. Then, he ordered some dishes. "Stewed pork shoulder, braised prawns, and four happiness meatballs." Wei Chen chuckled and teased, "Doctor Shen, are you ordering according to the wedding menu?"

"No, I just like to eat these dishes." After Shen Lin finished ordering, he passed the menu to Zhou Xia.

Zhou Xia muttered in her heart, 'Why did Shen Lin order these dishes?' 

Could it be that he had specially ordered it for her? Was he hinting at their current relationship? Zhou Xia was speechless. She turned around and passed the menu to Qin Huaichuan, then smiled and said, "I'm fine with anything. Mr. Qin, you order it."

"Didn't you just call him cousin? Why is it Mr. Qin now?" Shen Lin seemed to be smiling. He ridiculed her in a weird way.

Zhou Xia could not take it anymore. She turned around and glared at Shen Lin. "Can you stop talking? No one would think you're mute if you don't speak!"

"What's wrong?" Shen Lin said with a serious face, "Why can't you let me talk?" 

"Alright, alright." Qin Huaichuan saw that the atmosphere was not right and quickly came forward to smooth things over. "Forget about the blind date. Since you two know each other, it seems like fate has brought you together. Wei Chen, just order a few specialty dishes."

Wei Chen nodded and brought the waiter out to order.
