Chapter 1 - Limitless

The sun was shining, a brilliant and searing light that reflected off the glassy surface of the lake. I awoke with a yawn, my eyes still heavy with sleep. I blinked several times, trying to make sense of my surroundings. I had been lying in a patch of lush grass, the gentle breeze carrying the smell of wildflowers.

I sat up and looked around in awe. I had never seen anything quite like this before. As if by some unseen force, the landscape was surrounded by tall, thick trees that were interspersed with bright green foliage and a variety of multi-colored flowers.

The sun continued to beat down on me, and I could feel the warmth radiating from the surface of the lake, a deep blue that stretched for miles. I couldn't believe my eyes. This place was unlike anything I had ever seen before.

I've only heard of this in novels, but I never expected it to be true.

𝘈𝘊𝘒!

These weird memories flashed through my head in seconds.

"𝘑𝘶𝘴𝘵..𝘸𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘸𝘢𝘴 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵?" I said.

"𝘍𝘪𝘳𝘴𝘵 𝘐 𝘸𝘢𝘬𝘦 𝘶𝘱 𝘪𝘯 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘶𝘯𝘬𝘯𝘰𝘸𝘯 𝘧𝘪𝘦𝘭𝘥 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘯 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵.."

I would look deep into my memories. Apparently I was recently killed in a car crash.

But for some reason that's the only thing I remember about my death. I remember my entire life up until that point. So why? I asked.

"𝘚-𝘚𝘖 𝘈𝘔 𝘐 𝘎𝘖𝘕𝘕𝘈 𝘉𝘌 𝘓𝘐𝘒𝘌 𝘚𝘜𝘕𝘎 𝘑𝘐𝘕 𝘞𝘖𝘖?!" A happy and gleeful look was on my face staring at the system screen.

A bright red marker would hover above a supposed dungeon.

I would wipe away the sweat on my forehead from running.

The small yet menacing dungeon stood before me.

"𝘚𝘰, 𝘩𝘰𝘸 𝘥𝘰 𝘐 𝘨𝘦𝘵 𝘪𝘯𝘴𝘪𝘥𝘦?"

[DUNGEON STARTING IN 5...]

Whew... "𝘏𝘦𝘳𝘦 𝘸𝘦 𝘨𝘰.." I said.

[DUNGEON STARTED!..]

I was met with a dark ominous room. Dust and silence were the only things that filled it.

RAGHH!

[LEVEL 2 GOBLIN]

It would use its claws to swipe at me.

Swoosh!

I would dodge its claws easily.

Sending a heavy blow to its face.

RAUGH! It exclaimed.

"𝘛𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘢𝘭𝘭 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘨𝘰𝘵?.." I mocked the goblin.

RAUGHHHH!

the goblin would repeatedly slash as I repeatedly dodged.

Bam!

My back would hit a wall.

"𝘚-𝘚𝘏*𝘛!"

SLASH!

The claws would graze my chest just by my hair.

I had stopped the goblin with my foot, kicking it away from me.

"𝘞𝘩𝘦𝘸..𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘸𝘢𝘴 𝘤𝘭𝘰𝘴𝘦!"

"Hцѫап..!"

"𝘞𝘢𝘪𝘵..𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘥𝘢𝘮𝘯 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘤𝘢𝘯 𝘵𝘢𝘭𝘬? 𝘉𝘶𝘵..𝘸𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘩𝘦𝘭𝘭 𝘪𝘴 𝘪𝘵 𝘴𝘢𝘺𝘪𝘯𝘨?"

In the corner of my eye a small glint would catch my attention.

DASH!

I would reach out for it.

It was a small knife.

"𝘠𝘦𝘢𝘩..𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘤𝘰𝘶𝘭𝘥 𝘸𝘰𝘳𝘬!"

I would look at my potential stat with curiosity.

I'd put 5 stat points in my 'STR' stat and 5 into my 'AGI' stat.

I would block the throwing dagger that was launched at me.

The red goblin would smirk at me.

I would block the rapidly thrown knives with my sword.

SWOOSH!

I would dash directly behind the red goblin.

SLASH!

TINK!

It would block my attack as well.

[LEVEL 5 'RED GOBLIN']

"𝘛𝘤𝘩..2 𝘭𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘭𝘴 𝘢𝘣𝘰𝘷𝘦 𝘮𝘦!"

DASH!

TINK! TINK! TINK! SHING! SHING! SHING!

Me and the Goblin were exchanging blows with each other.

"𝘑𝘶𝘴𝘵 𝘥𝘪𝘦 𝘢𝘭𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘥𝘺..𝘠𝘖𝘜 𝘉𝘈𝘚𝘛𝘈𝘙𝘋!!"

SWISH!

I would punch the goblin it its giant nose, knocking it into a nearby wall.

BAM!

SWOOSH!

I would dash at the goblin with my 'Smite Sword' ready.

SMITE!!

A Giant lightning bolt would appear out of thin air and smite the goblin, killing it.

I would wipe away the sweat from my face.

The loud and heavy footsteps got louder and louder as they approached.

I would instantly drink my strength potion and get ready to attack.

I would smirk a bit.

I would move rapidly all around the orc confusing it.

SHING! SMITE!! SHING! SMITE! SHING SMITE!

Slashing and smiting the Orc at the exact same time.

SMITE!!!!

One last smite would finish the Orc.

I would return to the dark oak forest I was previously in.

I would turn my head to look at the dungeon, but it was gone.

I would arrive at this small inn on a long dirt path.

"𝘊𝘰𝘮𝘦 𝘰𝘯 𝘥𝘦𝘢𝘳, 𝘪𝘵'𝘴 𝘯𝘰𝘵 𝘨𝘰𝘰𝘥 𝘵𝘰 𝘱𝘰𝘪𝘯𝘵!" The child's mother said.

I would open the inn door and I was greeted by a beautiful women.

She had long blonde hair and big breasts. A beauty mark by her mouth and bright blue eyes.

"𝘏𝘦𝘭𝘭𝘰, 𝘞𝘦𝘭𝘤𝘰𝘮𝘦 𝘵𝘰 𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘪𝘯𝘯!" She said.

"𝘜𝘮𝘮..𝘺𝘦𝘢𝘩 𝘩𝘰𝘸 𝘮𝘶𝘤𝘩 𝘪𝘴 𝘢 𝘳𝘰𝘰𝘮?" I asked her.

"25 𝘊𝘰𝘪𝘯𝘴!"

Hmm..

I would check my back pocket and for some reason I had the exact amount.

"𝘏𝘦𝘳𝘦 𝘺𝘢 𝘨𝘰!" I said.

"𝘛𝘩𝘢𝘯𝘬 𝘺𝘰𝘶! 𝘌𝘯𝘫𝘰𝘺 𝘺𝘰𝘶'𝘳𝘦 𝘴𝘵𝘢𝘺!"

I would walk up to the room they gave me.

It was a small room. One bed, a wooden-chair, a window on the other side of the room, and a small cracked mirror near the door.

I would take off the dark-green dirty hoodie I had on from previous world.

I would walk over to the small cracked mirror near the door.

Picking it up.

"..!"

For some reason my hair wasn't black but white, and my eyes weren't dark brown they were now blue.

"𝘞𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘩𝘦𝘭𝘭 𝘪𝘴 𝘩𝘢𝘱𝘱𝘦𝘯𝘪𝘯𝘨..?"

'My jawline is even more defined' I thought.

Sigh~

I would fall backwards onto the small bed.

"𝘐𝘵'𝘴 𝘲𝘶𝘪𝘵𝘦 𝘤𝘰𝘮𝘧𝘰𝘳𝘵𝘢𝘣𝘭𝘦." I said.

My eyes grew sluggish and my body grew weak.

I soon fell asleep.
