Baratie restaurant

You can find anything you can imagine in this enormous ocean. Even though some of it is still hidden, only those who are determined and have an adventurous spirit can find it in the end.

One of the places that can be considered a legend is All Blue, the only place in the world where the North Blue, South Blue, East Blue, and West Blue seas meet, so all of the fish and other sea animals gather in that place.

In this time period, there were very few people who were interested in finding All Blue, and even though pirates are known for their persistent determination and spirit of exploration, the majority of them do not believe that All Blue even exists.

Sambas Region, located in East Blue, there is a peculiar phenomenon where there is a restaurant that floats on the water named Baratie. Many people are willing to travel quite a distance to visit that place because they have heard that the food there is delicious.

"All Blue... when will I be able to go there? But considering that old man, he'll definitely be wasting my life in this place to peel potatoes for him..."

*sighs

"Sanji!! Where're the hundred peeled potatoes I asked for?...are you being lazy again!..."

"You know that I haven't stopped peeling all of these potatoes... instead of screaming like that, you should help me. I'm alone here, you know..."

The fact that this Baratie restaurant only employs two chefs, a young man with blond hair named Sanji and an elderly man named Zeff, is one of the things that sets it apart from others. This restaurant isn't that old either, so it's just the two of them for now.

Zeff is the head chef at Baratie. He has the appearance of an elderly man and still has his blonde hair, which he tucks under the extra-long chef's hat he always wears. The length of his mustache and beard have both significantly increased over the past few months. He was dressed in his chef's uniform, which consisted of a white apron and a blue ascot. Additionally, because he is missing his right leg, he has a peg leg and seems to have no trouble walking with it.

Nobody knows Sanji and Zeff's history, and most people don't care about it either. That's because most of them come to this restaurant to sample Sanji and Zeff's dishes, which are quite well-known in East Blue.

"You damn brat... that means you're being lazy, and if you continue like that, I'll have you mopping up the entire restaurant for the entire week!" Zeff yelled as he delivered a powerful blow to Sanji's head.

Sanji could only grimace in pain as he rubbed his head and quickly said, "Don't do that... if you keep punishing me like that, I won't be able to become a good chef."

Zeff couldn't help but sigh when he saw that Sanji was on the verge of crying. Nevertheless, before he left the room, he said, "Peeling potatoes quickly and precisely is also a criterion of a good chef... hurry up and get ready. We'll be opening soon."

"I know. Thank you, old man."

Sanji then put all the All Blue stuff behind his head as he focused on peeling the potatoes in front of him more quickly and precisely. Not long after Zeff opened their restaurant, a steady stream of customers began coming in, and the two of them were kept busy for a while.

In the meantime, in another place not far from the Baratie restaurant, there is a village called Cocoyasi on a small island. Just like in any other typical village, the people who live in this village make a living from the sea and also grow vegetables and fruits in their backyards.

But despite this, there is something that sets apart this Cocoyasi village from the others. This is evident from the fear and anxiety that can be seen written all over the faces of the people who live there, so there must be something troubling going on in their community.

Three people with an appearance that was not quite human appeared at the village entrance. Certain parts of their bodies could be said to be parts of sea animals, such as fins, scales, and even gills on their shoulders or necks.

"they're coming again... quickly take cover inside the house."

"hide your children... I heard they also like to eat children's flesh..."

"Call Genzo. They seem to be coming to collect money again..."

When the villagers of Cocoyasi saw the arrival of these three individuals, who were obviously not human, their response was one of fear. But, it was obvious that their fear must have a reason, and based on what these people were saying, it seemed as though they had experienced a great deal of trauma.

"Humans are really funny. There's no reason for them to be afraid of us. do we have an intimidating appearance?" I think I'm pretty handsome among the Fish-Men, right?"

"That is the true nature of humans, they will quickly judge you, and if they have the strength and power to do so, they will oppress our people. Do you understand that, Hatchan?"

Hatchan that he was referring to was the half-octopus man walking next to him, and he himself was a fish-man as well, but he is a ray fish-man, and his name is Kuroobi. It seemed as though he had a strong hatred for humans based on the look he was giving to a villager.

"After all, you're not handsome Hatchan... chu... don't you know I'm the second most handsome of the Fish-Man? Of course, the most handsome of all of us is definitely Brother Arlong."

Comment, the last Fish-man, named Chew, and what he says is quite right because, among the three of them, he is the only one almost human-like. Yet, his long muzzle lips make it clearly easy to recognize him as a smelt-whiting fish-man.

"I don't care. Other than that, I want to hurry back and eat. Let's quickly finish our business here," Hatchan said as he started to lean forward before shouting loudly:

"Old man, where are you, we have come to collect our money, and if you don't come soon, we will start destroying your village."
