Chapter 10

The next day

I'm back at the academy. Honestly, at this point, the reason I'm only here is just to increase my Mana. And also to see Aaron and the others. I chuckled just thinking of them being a goof again. I can't wait to see them today.

"Ouch!"

The girl said. It was the girl from the other day! Not this bitch again! Ugh. I swear if she-

"Oh.. i-im sorry princess.. I didn't know you were in front of me.."

That was what the girl said. I was so confused.. what? Is she trying to be kind now? Seriously? After what she did to me the other day? I swear I will get my revenge.

As I stood there seething with anger, I raised my hand and was about to hit her. However, just as I was about to do so, a realization struck me - she was much shorter than I remembered. I hastily withdrew my hand, confused and taken aback by this strange discovery. Trying to play it cool, I nonchalantly muttered "Oh.. it's ok just be careful next time.." and then quickly averted my gaze, pretending as if nothing had happened, before walking away.

I was confused as I walked through the academy's hallway. I sighed when I finally reached the place where Aaron and the others were. I opened the door and saw them doing the usual. Baking cookies and trying to make discoveries, meanwhile, I saw Aaron sitting on the couch while reading a book. I sat beside him and he noticed so he stopped what he was doing and looked at me.

"What is it? Do you need anything Aether?"

He asked as he looked at me in confusion, I'm pretty sure he noticed the confused look I had on my face.

"Well.. about the other day.. like the day I was embarrassed.. that girl-"

I was about to finish my sentence when he suddenly cut me off.

"Oh, that girl? Her name is Amelia"

"Oh.. Amelia?.. does she perhaps have.. like any relatives that also look like her?.."

"I see, how did you know? Well, she has a sister who looks exactly like her, except that she's shorter. Her name is Amy." Aaron said, while having a friendly smile on his face.

I let out a sigh of relief, grateful for having someone like Aaron to approach for information in the academy. "Thank you Aaron." I replied.

Curious, Aaron leaned in and asked, "But why were you asking about her?"

I hesitated for a moment before explaining, "Well, I saw her earlier and I was about to hit her, but then I realized she was shorter than Amelia. It just made me curious, you know?"

Amused by my response, Aaron chuckled and said, "Oh, I see. It's funny to think that you harbor so much grudge towards Amelia. But don't worry, I like that about you."

Feeling embarrassed, I couldn't help but smile softly at Aaron. He was the best.
