Ch. 9

I came into the store, looking at other things that were well placed on the shelves and looking from one end to another among an assortment of accessories. Of all these, there was a special piece that was very noticeable- it seemed like I could hear its voice calling me. The alluring and appealing nature of its detailed pattern became evident to me within no time as it instantly captured my interest; thus, I could not restrain myself from going for it. It had such a charm that I could not resist buying it. Hastily, I grabbed it up and gave it to the shopkeeper as if I had made up my mind about it.

The shop owner smiled at me.

"You have good eyes, young man," he said, pointing to the accessories I gave him.

Feeling a bit confused but also calm, I thanked the owner and he proceeded to give me the accessory, as I held it in my hand I couldn't help but feel amazed at its beauty.

I quickly paid for the accessories and left the store feeling grateful for the accessory I just found. As I walked down the street I couldn't help but wonder what the owner meant when he praised me for picking this accessory. But those thoughts quickly disappeared as I returned to my dorm room, eager to examine the accessory more closely.

As soon as I was inside, I put the accessory on the table and started looking at it. It doesn't look special. but I know it's important. it was based on the unimaginable feeling I had earlier when I saw this accessory. I should just maybe keep it and examine it more once I get back to the castle in Seraphoria.

1 day later.

I ended up back at Seraphoria, and to be honest, I wasn't thrilled about it. I couldn't help but compare it to the fun I had in Emberstone and felt like I should have stayed there longer. I was so frustrated that I let out a deep sigh and just lay down on my bed. Unfortunately, I have to go back to the academy tomorrow, which is just my luck.
