CHAPTER 8

"Ggraaaaaah!!"

Everyone who was at the periphery of the forest was startled by the loud growl. They prepare themselves just in case they encounter some wild animals on their way.

"Stay alert." The leader of the team said and  made a gesture that they should try to minimize the noise so that they wouldn't alert the wild animals.

After a while...

"I think... it's just a wild bear giving birth."

"Or a boar that's getting hunted by predator."

"It can be a wailing cub"

"Or animals who are mating..."

"..."

The subordinates blabber when they see no animals approaching. It also helps them to settle their own emotions.

"Shut up and keep moving. We should hurry up and find out young master or else... you can't even imagine what will master will do to us."

"..."

They grimaced at the thought of their master when he is angry. It's better to delete it from their memories rather than it will haunt them down. The thought of it makes them work harder than usual as to have a faster results and a closure of not having a penalty or punishment.

...

"auhg... that hurts a lot. I really passed out; good thing there's no wild animals around."

Raynier Zheng stretched his body and felt the difference between before he refined the body-tempering pill. He hunted some snowshoe hares for his dinner and prepared some essentials for camping for the night.

Raynier Zheng woke up before the sun rose to do his daily workout routine for his cultivation. When the surroundings are clear, he sets out to go to another place.

While Raynier Zheng was walking, he saw some posters pasted on the bark of the tree. He didn't bother looking. He walked and he kept looking at the posters, so he took a look at one of the posters pasted out of curiosity.

"Oh look at that! He looks quite handsome... ...hmn... this photo looks familiar..... Gracious! Is that me?!! Who the hell did this?!"

He then looked around and saw that his surroundings were full of posters with arrow signs to help him navigate his way. He grimaced at the sight and he also wanted to punish the one who thought of this idea.

He walked towards the direction where the arrow led. After a while, he found some groups of men. He was not sure if they were friends or a foe. All he knew was that they were here for him.

He decided to show up himself rather than keep hiding. It's better to face it, it's easier for him to investigate and know their purpose.

...

Crack...

The sound of footsteps stepping on the dried twigs as they got nearer to the group of men. The leader of the group made a signal to be vigilant and prepare for combat, that, just in case, it is a ferocious animal, is the one coming.

When they see a silhouette of a man...

" Who's there?!" The leader shouted at the man but the man didn't answer him. He just kept walking towards them.

" If you don't answer, then be prepared to be shot! " After the leader said that, the outline of the man becomes clearer.

" Yo-Young master?!! Hold your fire! Put out your guns! " When the leader finished ordering his men to not to shoot, he charged forward excitedly.

" Young master, It's good to see you again! Finally, we have found you!"

" Uh ah... You didn't find me but I am the one who has found you. I am sooo glad that I have found you guys sooner. With that, I can ask who was the genius who thought of this idea of posting posters everywhere." Raynier said with a mischievous smile on his face and showing one of the posters he teared off from the bark of the tree.

When he said that, one of his subordinates came forward and shyly admitted that he was the one who suggested the idea.

" Oh!?! So it's you. Tell me your name."

"Yes, young master. My name is Tyler Klotz"

" I should commend you and-"

" Thank you young master. I don't need any rewards. I am just doing my job."

" Ho!?! Well, you really did a great job of scattering around posters with my face on them. With that, I need to ask you a favour to take everything off. I don't want to see any piece of posters loitering around the vicinity."

" No need to worry, young master. He will do it asap. We should go home first. The master and madam were worrying about you so much."

Everyone leaves the area except for the man, Tyler Klotz who was ordered to take all the posters away.

Life ain't easy. That's what he thought after being left alone in the wilderness.

The leader ordered some of his men to stay outside the forest to wait for Tyler to finish, then go back to him to make a report.

The leader of the group called back the chief of the security team reporting that they had already found Raynier Zheng and they were on their way back.

" Honey, they found our son already and he will be home soon." Mister Zheng told his wife. Madam Zheng felt relieved after hearing the news of her son coming home soon.
