Staycation

The following morning, I got ready for school, since this time I didn't have to rush as I went to bed early. I grabbed my bag, closed my room door and rushed down the stairs to meet my mother. She was busy sitting at the table cutting out coupons for going grocery shopping. Usually this was something her and my dad did together to make things quicker, yet it was sad him not being there to do it with her. I could feel a small tear roll down my cheek as I stare at her and the chair, he uses to sit in beside her. Of course, she came over to me and hugged me while wiping the tear from my cheek. She sat me down in one of the chairs, while bringing me a plate of food for breakfast. She did all of this without muttering a single word, because there wasn't anything talk about. I ate my food while I watched her finish up cutting out the coupons and open up some mail. Ten minutes later, it was time for me to head to school. As per usually, Jo Woon was waiting for me in front of the school ready to drop me off to my class.

Rose and Do Yoon came into the class with hand locked with one another as they sat next to one another. The bell had rung as the other students took their seats and the professor came in asking for us to take out our homework and materials. This time, we talked about the different business types, roles, and even economics. Of course, this was no economic class, but economics does play a huge role in entrepreneurship. Our professor, he announced to the class that we would be having a test for this module. After hearing that, I really cringe since I wasn't good at taking test much less studying. I loved doing my homework more than taking tests. When I first signed up for my classes, we were handed a syllabus in the beginning, and I wasn't happy to know that test/quizzes made up most of our grade. As he said that, I could hear the whole class sign in sadness. After class, our professor didn't assign us any homework this time, which was a relief.

At lunch, me and Rose along with her Do Yoon had sat at the table next to the window. Me and Rose was discussing going on a little trip here in Korea. I wanted to go to the beach since it was nice outside, and it would be more relaxing before our test. While she wanted to go shopping and hang out at the movies like a regular day out. Of course, Do Yoon had to be the tie breaker since we both couldn't decide on where we wanted to go. He was always the one who had to decide stuff because me and Rose always wanted something different. As we were talking, I had noticed that Jo Woon wasn't here. I wasn't going to mention anything to Rose since she is going to start rambling on about her suspicions. After lunch, Rose decided to drop her boyfriend to his next class leaving me to walk to class alone. While walking to class, I decided to take a detour to my boyfriend's class to see what he was up too. As I passed by his class, he wasn't there as I had asked one of the other students had they seen him. One girl had directed me to the ballet room and hurried back to her class. I was really confused as she walked to the classroom that read "Ballet" on the front of the room. I began to wonder why he would possibly be in the Ballet department as suppose to the dance department. I glanced through the window as I saw him and A-yeong practicing together.

I decided to leave and walk to my next class since I didn't want to say anything to him. As I arrived at my next class, I couldn't imagine Rose being right about the things she said about him. On the other hand, I still didn't want to just assume things based off of what I had just seen. Besides, I didn't hate nor dislike A-yeong, I just never been close to her. However, I was nervous because she is really pretty, smart, and rich. So, them hanging out wasn't much of an issue but I feared that he might cling onto her. In the past, he got upset because he overheard me and Rose talking about his ability to get scouted. Which I had apologized, even though Rose was the one who didn't have faith in him as much as I did. However, we made up but sometimes I feel like he doesn't trust me. There were times that I had wanted to stay after school with him to support him at practice. However, he would turn down the idea and go alone.

After class, I texted Rose to meet me after school so we could walk together. Me and Rose decided that it would be a good idea to meet up at my house, so that we could get ready to head to the beach. As we headed to my house, I was hesitant to tell her about Jo Woon and A-yeong practicing together. So, I just let it be and focused on walking probably. As we arrived at my house, my mother had answered the door as she was getting ready to go out. Rose said hi to my mother as she got ready to head out the door. I told her that me and Rose along with her boyfriend was going to the beach before testing. Of course, she didn't have a problem with it and even suggested that we take the sandwiches that she had made for me. Which I was thankful for, since we didn't have to spend more money than we really needed to.

After my mother left, me and Rose went up to my room to get packing for the beach. It was really nice outside, so I had packed a nice swimsuit, sun hat, and an alternative outfit after swimming. I lend Rose one of my bathing suits, so that she didn't have to head home to pack one. Also, I gave her another sun hat and alternative close just in case. We spent the last few minutes glancing at ourselves in the mirror and making sure we looked good before leaving. As we headed downstairs, I had packed my mom's sandwiches that she gladly made for us and left the house. To our surprise, Rose's boyfriend was waiting outside of my house for both of us. He had his swim attire on, he was also holding what looks to be a picnic basket and of course a bag full of swimming items i.e., sunscreen, first aid kit, and a mini cooler. We took Do Yoon's car as we drove all the way to the beach, Rose slept most of the way as she sat in the front passenger seat leaving me sitting in the back by myself. As I glanced out of the window looking at the different scenery, I got a notification on my phone reading "Boyfriend❤️". I didn't care to see anything from him, so I had cleared my notification's.

Apart of me didn't know whether I was upset, or not. I just didn't have nothing to say to him as he didn't tell me anything that was going on. I just felt like it was better to just sit this one out and take some time apart from one another. I grabbed a pair of headphones from out my bag and placed them into my phone to listen to some classical music. As we arrived at the beach house, Do Yoon had unloaded the bags from the car and placed them in our rooms. I walked over to the passenger's seat to wake up Rose, so she could come inside to unpack. Do Yoon had grabbed her and escorted her to their room that they had shared. I had gone to my room and unpacked my bags before taking a shower. As I was putting my clothes on, I had gotten another notification from Jo Woon. Again, I had cleared my screen from his notifications and focused on what I was currently doing.

As I finished, I heard Do Yoon from downstairs calling us for perhaps lunch. I hurried down the stairs since my room was the only one upstairs and glanced at what was on the table. Do Yoon had done an amazing job at cooking us lunch since me and Rose only brought sandwiches from my house. Which was supposed to be for the beach, since they were easy to carry. Me and Rose sat down at the table as chef Do Yoon had placed the last dish on the table before joining us. After he sat down, we proceeded to take up a plate of the food and eat.

"How's the food?" Do Yoon asked

"It's amazing!" Me and Rose said

"Good!" he said smiling

"How did you learn to cook like this?" I asked

"Well, my sweet and talented boyfriend is actually in culinary, and it wanted to own his own restaurant. Which is why I've decided to take business along with you as I want to manage the store as he works as a chef." Rose answered with a smile

"Oh! No wonder." I said laughing

"Of Course, I felt bad not telling you. However, me and Do Yoon have been busy with school and figuring out what we need to do pertaining to the business. Furthermore, my family don't really support it since me and him are not yet married. They don't want me to give up on my dreams for him since nothing is life is set in stone." Rose explained

"And how do you feel about this?" I asked Do Yoon

"Actually, I'm not upset nor surprised with what her family has to say. They have every right to give such advice since we are not married, and I don't know what the future has in store. On the other hand, I am a bit disappointed because she is the women that I love and want to be with." he said

"Aww! You guys are so cute!" I said smiling

"Oh! What happened to Jo Woon?" Do Yoon asked

*Glares away*

"Don't tell me that you guys are arguing or something?!" Rose said

"No, that's not it at all. We just haven't spoken since the other day because he has been busy lately and it was just better for us to take a break." I spoke

"A break? What the hell is going on?" Rose spat out her drink

"Nothing! I don't really want to discuss it." I said glancing away

"Okay, if that's your decision. However, if you guys haven't talked besides the other day then is it you who have decided on this "break"?" Rose asked

"Yes! I just felt like he doesn't allow me to be a part of things going on in his life." I replied

"Mina, you shouldn't worry about things like this. Especially, since you and Rose have a test coming up. If I, was you, I'd just let things blow over and if he comes to talk to you then you can discuss the matter." Do Yoon said

After lunch, I thought back to what both Rose and Do Yoon had said about my relationship with Jo Woon. However, at this moment I didn't' want to speak to her since I had a lot going on. I still didn't muster up the courage to tell Rose about his relationship with A-yeong all of a sudden. At this point, it was best to be unmentioned since I had already felt this way. Rose had entered my room, wearing her bathing suit and sun hat. I was confused because I thought we were heading to the beach tomorrow, but she wanted to go today. I hurried up and got dress as they had packed the food and drinks for the beach.

At the beach, the water was a nice clear blue with a hit of white as the sun was still in the sky and the waves crashed into each other. I pulled out the rug that laid across the hot sand and sat on it while Rose and Do Yoon decided to play in the water together. It was quite enjoyable watching them play together, it reminded me of the times me and Jo Woon would play with each other. I felt really bad for ignoring his text messages, but I couldn't help how I felt. The idea of us separating never once escaped my mind, it was like it was living rent free. I glanced at myself phone and put it on silent. I didn't want anyone to disturb my time to relax and enjoy the nice view of the beach. I even took photos of both Rose and Do Yoon as they were walking into the water holding hands. Of course, they had glanced at me, signaling for me to come into the water. However, I felt more comfortable sitting on the rug. I just sat back and took photo's so that I could show my mother hoping that I would bring her next time.

After, we all sat on the rugs eating my mother's sandwiches while watching the sunset. We even took a picture of the sun setting since it was really pretty. I knew that I was going to print out these pictures and place them on a desk next to my bed as good memory. After arriving back at the beach house, we all went to take a shower before heading to bed. We had a long day tomorrow head back to Seoul.
