Untouchable

Bai Shen moved like a shadow, closing in on the next target.

He had a plan to take out as many of the remaining gang members as possible without alerting the rest.

As he approached the next man, Bai Shen executed a series of precise and deadly strikes, ending his life swiftly.

The gang member crumpled to the ground without making a sound. Bai Shen continued this silent dance of death, picking off the Razers one by one.

His skills and attributes allowed him to move with inhuman speed, ensuring that each kill was swift and unnoticed by the others.

Li Meixue, from her vantage point, watched over Bai Shen, ready to intervene if things went awry. Her keen eyes scanned the area, making sure no one was sneaking up on them.

As Bai Shen continued his methodical elimination of the gang members, the odds began to tip in their favor.

The remaining Razers were suddenly alerted, realizing that something was terribly wrong.

"Rat, go check on Monday and Monk, they're taking too long to come back."

A rough voice was heard from inside a room; he seemed to be the leader of the Razers Gang, Razor.

When Rat heard that, he nodded without saying anything; arriving in the hallway, he found Lin Feng and Wang Long.

"Come with me, it's possible that a mutant or some other threat infiltrated our base, the others are taking a long time to come back."

"Hehe, they're probably going to hoard some experience for themselves."

"Maybe they even found some beauties to enjoy, just like last time..."

As the three of them made their way around the warehouse, something felt strange. It was too quiet.

If Monk and the others were fighting zombies and the like, they would've at least heard sounds of fighting, but there was nothing.

Before any of them could react, someone jumped from the shadows and killed one of them.

Watching as Lin Feng fell to the floor, Rat and Wang Long quickly reacted.

The first one took out his sword and sped up towards Bai Shen, "Who the heck are you?"

Shouting, Wang Long tried his best to directly kill the young man who appeared out of nowhere.

Suddenly, Rat attempted to fire his gun and shoot a bullet towards Bai Shen.

Li Meixue, quick to react, used her bow to launch a fast arrow, hitting the man in the shoulder; incapacitating him and giving Bai Shen the opening he needed.

Parrying Wang Long's attack, Bai Shen closed in on Rat, the one with the gun, disarming him and swiftly slashing his sword at him.

With the two gang members in disarray, Bai Shen and Li Meixue pushed forward, finishing off the two Razers Gang members.

"Meixue, you stay here. I'm going to fight in that enclosed space with them; you don't have any advantage there, so better stay here and watch the entrance."

"Mhm, if there's something going wrong, don't hesitate to turn around and run; I'll be waiting here."

Nodding, Bai Shen quickly entered the small hallway; he was sure that the others heard the sounds of fighting from before, especially Wang Long's shout.

"Who are you exactly?" Razor, the gang leader, asked as soon as Bai Shen stepped foot on the long hallway.

He was surrounded by his gang members, eight of them in total.

"There's no need for you to know. After all, what's the use of this information since you will be dead in a few seconds?"

Before the man could respond, Bai Shen quickly conjured a Fireball and sent it over, shocking Razor and the others.

"Defend!" Shouting at the top of his lungs, Razor actually grabbed a young man from his right and threw him in front of him.

BOOM! Receiving a full force Fireball head-on, there was no need to ask about the young man's fate.

The other Razers all fell to the floor, and despite their dodging, the aftermath of the flames still affected a few of them.

Razor and the others wanted to get up and swarm Bai Shen, but much to their horror, another Fireball came towards them.

"Boss, save me!"

Different cries for help or curses were heard as another two members lost their lives to Bai Shen.

'Fireball.' Bai Shen advanced a few meters forward and casted another Fireball, walking a few other meters, he did it again, 'Fireball.'

Looking like an untouchable monster, Bai Shen arrived in front of Razor and the two other lucky members that survived in exchange for horrendous wounds.

"See? I told you the truth." Not wasting his time anymore, Bai Shen ended the two's lives.

Looking at Razor who was on the ground, Bai Shen saw the fear in the man's eyes.

"Why are you doing this? What have we done to you?"

"You think Zhong Guo didn't tell us about you? You're human trash that shouldn't have been born in this world, ever!"

Slashing with his sword, Bai Shen ended Razor's life. The poor man was still shocked hearing the name Zhong Guo.

"Let's begin then." Saying so, Bai Shen crouched on the bodies laying on the floor and used Steal on them.

Thinking so, Bai Shen left the bodies, or whatever remained of the Razers Gang, where they were and exited the hallway.

Perhaps, not even he was aware of how much he had changed since the Apocalypse began.

Killing others without mercy and not even turning back to question his actions.

It seemed that unconsciously, Bai Shen had already started to think of the saying, 'Survival of the fittest.'

There was no room for mercy; if he hesitated even for a bit, the next one to lay down in a hallway could be him.
