Selena hailed from the Leelum family.
It was one of many mid-tier wizard families within the realm of Serphendale, not very powerful, but not weak either. They could be said to be local influences.
Leelums were generally Elementalists. Selena was a rare case among them, being a special-type enlightened wizard able to read people's fortunes. Because of her transcendental type IAT and her mesmerizing beauty, she was a very sought-after woman in her community.
The Leelums were followers of Ahshun, and in this religion, women and men couldn't interact freely. Her family took a step further and didn't allow Selena to make any male friends or mingle with them. As a result, Selena could never find a man suitable for her until she was a year older than the perfect age of getting married.
