Human ambush
After bidding farewell to the friendly soldier, Ash sat on the ground like the rest of the tired beastmen, deciding to rest as much as possible with the little time they had.
The captain continued reprimanding the arrogant leaders for half an hour, and even after that, he did not allow them to rest like the others, forcing them to stand while carrying their luggage as punishment.
When the hour passed, and everyone resumed their positions for flight, the leaders of the platoons were exhausted but gritted their teeth and flew silently.
The rest of the journey, although tiring, had no major problems thanks to the measures taken by the captain. After the humiliation they endured early on, none of the platoon leaders tried to push anyone beyond their limits.
Some still flew faster than the rest of the platoon and broke formation, but quickly returned when the captain reprimanded them or the soldiers shouted for them to slow down.
