Heavenly Mystic Domain: Inner Sector (4)

Hmph!

"As the City Lord has already foreseen this, I can say with confidence... Even if a Golden Immortal appeared in front of us, he will be unable to harm us!!..."

"We'll be safe for a certain amount of time which will allow me to use my abilities to teleport us all out of harm's way...!"

"Oh?"

As Xavier was enjoying the gazes of idiotic morons who were easily satisfied by his confident response to their worries, a female voice that contained an unnatural amount of seduction and allure suddenly resonated in their surroundings.

Though it was alluring, it was simultaneously sharp and cold as everyone present momentarily froze in place feeling as if their blood had suddenly stopped flowing.

Only Oblivion had some form of protection against this mysterious ability as he remained unharmed yet did nothing at this moment. If he stood out a little, the attention would fall upon him and the owner of this voice... it was unknown what she would do.

"So that scroll made you brave enough to enter the Heavenly Mystic Domain's Inner Sector...?" All eyes darted to the skies, where they were able to see a woman with dazzling blue hair and piercing blue eyes that froze their minds.

In this instant, the scroll in Xavier's hand lit up brightly, and before even a mere nanosecond could pass, a hazy white dome appeared, with all members of the group inside and protected by its walls.

Sigh!...

"That was close...!" Xavier breathed a sigh of relief upon seeing the scroll didn't fail him. "But, for fuck sake, what shit luck do we have to run into a Golden Immortal as soon as we enter this land..."

Cursing his luck, Xavier uttered under his breath before gazing around, the scene causing his eyes to dilate in utter shock.

Cough...!

In his surroundings, all the members of his team were on their knees as blood escaped their seven orifices as soon after, he also coughed a mouthful of blood.

Dammit!...

Was all he could think as a dark light surrounded his body before expanding outwards, covering everyone and thing inside the dome, and then bursting into rays of light!

...

"Oh... So this was the plan." The woman with a blue gem in the shape of a crescent between her brows and whose beauty could be described as otherworldly even while being hidden under a veil uttered under her soft and tender voice.

Her pleasing voice resonated with her surroundings as if she was one with this world...

"A barrier that even the current me at the Golden Immortal realm is unable to destroy. Then, he would use his space abilities to teleport himself along with his underlings away from this location..."

As she reached this point, a figure entered her mind. It was the figure of the only masked person in the group who failed to hide from her senses. Even though he tried, Oblivion was unable to hide the fact that he wasn't truly injured like the rest.

"And that person, for him to be able to be unaffected by my aura, he must also be at the Golden Immortal realm..."

THRUM!

"It is best to not be involved with them again."

As she said so, her figure began dispersing into blue particles before completely disappearing from this location.

...

...

Somewhere on a snowy mountain, one of the many snowy mountains that could be found in the surroundings, with a flash of light, twenty-one figures made a sudden appearance.

Twenty of them were in a horrible state as the masked figure, the only one standing, rested his palm on the fox mask on his face before...

Taking off the mask, Oblivion revealed to the world a crazed smile as the black ring on his middle finger dimly lit up and a couple of tens of black rings flew out.

Right after, out of each ring, a blurred projectile exited the ring as they all gazed dumbfoundedly at their surroundings for a second before, a smile equally crazed as Oblivion's appeared on their faces which were uncomfortably similar to that of Oblivion.

"Boy, boy, boy... The Gods that you Humans worship surely look down on you as they continue to bless me with opportunities."

"Gods that I, Oblivion, will send back to the embrace of nothingness!..."

THRUM!!

Oblivion's voice resounded in his surroundings simultaneously garnering the attention of those present as they turned their attention toward him and his clones.

Shocked faces and widened eyes were the only reactions as Xavier, the only person to sense something was truly wrong, jumped to his feet as his aura instantly blasted his body!

Hmm...

Lazy glancing toward Xavier, his pitch-black pupils that took up most of his sclera stared into the eyes of Xavier who felt a shiver down his spine.

His eyes flashed with coldness as he regained a seriousness that he seemed to only have in battle. In this instant, his sclera turned black while his pupils disappeared.

At this moment, he entered his elemental form as he did not intend to risk his life and desired only to crush Oblivion into a bloody mist for daring to commence a sneak attack on his team.

The situation with the others though was slightly different.

While Xavier and Oblivion had begun their battle a few kilometers away, back at the location where Xavier's group had first teleported to when escaping an encounter with a Golden Immortal, due to a misunderstanding, what was left here was...

Puchi!...

Of the nineteen Humans, the last remaining one had just been beheaded by the oldest of the Oblivion's clones, the first, and the only one with long hair reaching his waist.

Gazing at the other clones, and then at the battle that was taking place a few kilometers away, he wondered.

'Even if my sword techniques have improved to the point where I can make techniques, it would still be incredibly difficult, almost impossible, for me to kill a Pseudo Golden Immortal!...'

As he thought of this, he nodded to the figures around him.

These clones along with himself exploded into a peculiar white mist that rushed toward a battling Oblivion situated thousands of meters away.

BOOM!!

Unable to resist the power of the flail being swung by Xavier, Oblivion's body shot across the snowy field, coincidentally lining up on the same path with an incoming gush of mist seemingly carried by the frigid winds of this place.

Fwoosh!

Oblivion's figure was instantly enshrouded by the mist as his pores seemed to automatically absorb it into his body while his body still glided across the snow.

His feet landed on the ground but, his figure did not slow down as he slid across the surface for a few more hundred meters before finally stopping.

As if sensing Xavier quickly approaching him, Oblivion hopped a few tens of meters back, causing Xavier to shout, "Hmph! Don't think you'll be able to escape from my wrath!!"

Ignoring his taunts, Oblivion's feet landed back on the ground, this time in a pool of blood and dead bodies.

Puchi...!

Stabbing his sword into the ground his figure blurred as he quickly approached an incoming Xavier while thinking...

'I've got no choice but to battle without my weapon since those dead bodies would contain less energy the longer they're not absorbed!'
