A Clash Like No Other (2/2)

As the bodies of the four fell to the battlefield, their bodies withered as Saber felt his strength increase...slightly. The man on the other hand only felt a slight shock when seeing Saber's speed.

It was a speed that was impossible for mere Spirit Insight cultivators yet, Saber was only that, a Spirit insight cultivator.

"What is your name." The man asked Saber who floated only a meter or so away from the man. Saber only smiled when hearing this as he replied.

"Don't you know that one should say one's name first before asking others their own?" Saber calmly stated with a bright and dazzling smile on his face. This caused the man's expression to darken since he couldn't take the arrogance of the brat in front of him.

He then proclaimed, "I, Astaroth the 4th, swear to wipe that smirk off of your face!" His aura then blasted out of his body, thereafter one can see the crack on the door becoming bigger.

Seeing this, Saber knew that fighting this half-step Immortal may prove to be a problem so he took out his sword and slashed downwards. The power contained in it crashed into the unsuspecting Astaroth sending him flying many kilometers away.

Thereafter, Saber slashed once more, causing a portal to be created as Saber threw Adrianna into it. He smiled while thinking...

'It's a good thing that I can somewhat control where this portal is connected to now. I am not sure if it is because of my elevation to a True Lifeform or not.' With those thoughts in mind, Saber then placed the sword back into his black ring as he then flashed across the skies and headed toward Astaroth who had crashed into the massive black door.

Astaroth immediately regained his bearings as he then fixated his gaze on Saber. Seeing Saber approaching Astaroth only smiled as his oppressive aura became even more oppressive causing the humans down on the battlefield to shake in fear.

Said humans were filled with shock since they had long since stopped fighting the figures shrouded in black mist since those figures had mysteriously disappeared when Adrianna lost consciousness. Because of this, they were able to see when their leaders had their heads casually sliced off by Saber, causing their fear to reach unimaginable levels.

Boom!!...

Saber's fist connected with the fist of Astaroth as a loud sound of thunder resounded simultaneously in the apocalyptic skies of this world which was rather close to dying. Saber was shockingly sent flying back by the impact as he had a shocked expression.

Not wasting any time, a sword appeared in the palm of Astaroth as he then swung the blade, sending a silvery-white streak across the skies as it somehow ripped Saber's hand off.

Saber, who was already shocked, now was filled with disbelief by the fact that he was somehow unable to dodge the said attack.

"Haha, this blade has the essence of time inside it. You have no chance to dodge if you aren't in the same realm as I." He said, explaining his sword's ability.

But, his expression froze when realizing something. Everyone who was able to see, watched on in absolute shock as they realized that even without an arm, Saber's shoulder did not leak any blood.

They watched on in even more shock as a black substance with infinite shining dots inside it then flew toward Saber's detached arm as it then quickly reattached the arm onto Saber's shoulder.

Thrum!!

Everyone was left shocked by such a scene as even Astaroth has never seen such a sight before.

"W-What was that?!" Astaroth asked in slight shock. He was shocked but mostly interested in it as he found that this cultivator in front of him was very different than normal people. Astaroth though was not worried since he felt that Saber was weaker than himself.

Well, that was what he had in mind until...

Saber's vest and undershirt began disappearing as his aura spiked. His once suppressed strength was released to the world shocking everyone present. They could feel it, Saber did not seem to be that old, yet he was already stronger than they will ever be.

"A-Abomination!" Astaroth muttered. But, as if to prove the title Abomination did not yet cover the whole of his illogical existence, Saber's aura once more spiked, and entered a level that...

"Abomination...haha, let me show you my true form!!"

As soon as Saber said this, his aura exploded outward as his appearance changed slightly. The tattoo symbol on his chest glowed in a dark purple as his hair became longer.

Saber's sclera then turned black as his pupils became purple while five foxtails which were all dark purple appeared from his back.

"Only death is eternal for you people...Yet, you dare call yourselves Immortal!" Saber said in an evil tone with a sadistic smirk.

A sadistic smirk that sent shivers down the spines of every lifeform present!

Astaroth watched in a stupor as he felt that Saber's speed equaled even his own, and knowing that Saber was somehow able to move at a speed completely outside of his realm of power, Astaroth's expression darkened.

Shockingly, Saber took his eyes off of Astaroth and focused on the millions of humans on the battlefield.

Tsk!

Saber clicked his tongue in annoyance as he pointed his hand toward the battlefield. Thereafter, a dark purple ball of swirling energy then appeared as it shot toward the humans who simply did not have the time to react.

*Boom*

Thereafter, an explosion that destroyed the very continent took place. One must understand that normal human minds are unable to understand the power contained in that small half a meter ball of energy to be able to destroy something that was more than 80,000 kilometers large.

What was left was the scenes of lava spewing from the earth as explosions ringed out creating a scene that was even more apocalyptic than how it was before.

"Humph...do you think that by simply doing an act such as this, I wi-" Astaroth began speaking with an expression of determination while he was enshrouded by a silvery-white aura. Yet, before he could finish his sentence...

*Bam*

Appearing behind Astaroth was non-other than Saber. His rapid speed was so exaggerated that Astaroth was unable to even see his movements as he received a powerful punch in the back of his neck!

Boom!

Astaroth's body shot down onto the sea of rocky lava where a battlefield was once located as Saber's purple pupils gazed on coldly as he said while gazing at his palms.

"So becoming one with oneself multiples your strength so much. Hehehe, after defeating this guy wouldn't I be the strongest lifeform in this world. Unlike last time, I will be able to see that bastard Zeno while still in a conscious state."

With that said, Saber's body flashed across the skies, leaving many after images as he penetrated the sea of molten rocks and lava.

Inside the lava, Saber saw the still descending body of Astaroth as he then grabbed Astaroth's neck as used it as a shield while descending deeper into the outer liquid core of the planet.

Astonishingly, Saber and Astaroth somehow appeared on the other side of the planet only a few seconds after Saber used Astaroth's body as a meat shield to blast his way through the core of this planet.

"Levi, how fast was I going there?" Saber said while holding an unconscious Astaroth. His cold eyes watched as the planet slowly fragmented!
