Chapter 83: Cell

Vegeta landed with Nappa, and began to walk towards the androids, who were standing there stunned by their presence.

"So you guys are the androids? I expected better" Vegeta said holding back a laugh from him due to them being pathetic enemies.

He trained hard for a whole year to take on guys even Krillin could beat? It was to laugh out loud.

"I told you it was an exaggeration, no being in the universe is a threat to our Saiyan race" Nappa added mocking both androids.

Android 20 clenched his teeth. Now the situation was quite different. "Tell me, how did you know we were going to show up?"

It's the only thing that didn't add up, no one in the world knew about androids. He didn't understand why Goku's friends did know.

"Someone warned us that you guys would attack the world in three years, why did you show up sooner?" Yamcha asked clenching his fists.

'Someone? I see! It must have been that brat that suddenly appeared' 20 thought remembering having warned Trunks in one of the recordings.

So, that meant that that young man traveled back in time. Everything matched, that explained why all of them were aware of her existence.

"And tell us what you meant when you said Goku was about to die!" Krillin demanded because that had not left him so calm.

"What? Kakarot is going to die?" Vegeta asked surprised by those words and then turned to Android 20, "Tsk, explain yourself junk!"

The android smiled and closed his eyes. "You have to know that the androids that were expected are not the two of us. I was the one who created them"

"W-what did you say?" Krillin asked in shock.

"I am doctor Gero. And the androids you were waiting for are 17 and 18, who must be facing Son Goku right now"

"And you may be wondering why we showed up earlier than expected, that's because I decided to move my plans forward" declared Gero.

"Why? What is your goal?" asked Yamcha processing all this information.

"You see, Goku finished off the red ribbon patrol in which I worked. Since then I dedicated myself to making more androids to take revenge on him"

"For years I was aware of everything he did, his fight against Piccolo, the arrival of the Saiyans, all thanks to them" Gero continued.

Gero pointed out some robotic insects that were flying over the area. Vegeta raised his head and destroyed them using laser eyes.

"I didn't see the need to follow them to Namek, until Frieza's father arrived, and then that metallic army with him at the head. And then everything changed"

"Piccolo had incredible powers, there were five Super Saiyans and even humans became strong, that was not in my plan"

"That's why I was forced to change all my plans. Otherwise I wouldn't have woken up 17 and 18" indicated doctor Gero with great seriousness.

The presence of so many factors that he never counted on forced him to take risk measures, such as waking up at 17 and 18, among others.

"Wow, so out of fear of the Super Saiyans you woke those androids up one year instead of the three they were supposed to be" Vegeta pointed out mockingly.

'You are so stupid Vegeta, if I woke them up it wasn't just because of that. There is another main reason for it' thought Gero with a scared smile.

"Why are we here? Kakarot is having fun with real androids" Nappa spoke squeezing her knuckles.

"Wait a minute, then why have you attacked if the other two androids are fulfilling your objective?" Yamcha asked not understanding this.

"The goal is to kill Goku and anyone related to him...so we'll destroy them here and now!" Gero exclaimed jumping towards Vegeta.

To the Saiyan prince's surprise, Doctor Gero rolled him up, covering his mouth with his hand.

"Vegeta!" Nappa yelled worriedly.

"Damn! He's going to steal your energy!" Krillin exclaimed noticing how Vegeta's Ki started to drop suddenly, "Something has to be done!"

Yamcha nodded but Gero gave them a cold look. "Step back! One step and I'll end your life right now! Do you understand me?"

Nappa clenched his teeth and 19 gave an evil grin. Vegeta tried to break free, but the effort was draining his Ki faster.

"Damn" Yamcha muttered under his breath.

"TRI BEAM!"

Suddenly a wave of energy impacted on Gero creating an explosion in that place. At the top of a building was Tien with the Kaio-ken.

"Tienshinhan you came at the best time!" Krillin exclaimed smiling while his friend slowly descended towards where they were.

"As soon as I felt his energy I came as fast as I could, it seems that everything started earlier than expected" Tien commented extremely serious.

"We'll update you later" Yamcha intervened looking at the smoke from the place and the figure of Gero was present, but he was missing an arm and a half.

And there was Vegeta, paler from the energy that had been stolen from him. But he was so angry about what had happened that he didn't care.

"Y-you... you fucking old man!" Vegeta exclaimed clenching his fists with great fury and suddenly his hair turned golden, "Damn!"

Gero then understood that everything was finished, so he got up as soon as possible and began to run. 19 didn't stay there, and followed him.

"BIG BANG ATTACK!" Vegeta launched a large sphere of energy towards the two androids generating a huge explosion, which lit up the entire place.

There was absolutely nothing left of the two androids, Vegeta was angry enough not to leave even a single piece of the two of them.

"D-damn, I will never make Vegeta angry" Krillin said sweating nervously at what he had just seen. Yamcha nodded, swallowing in fright.

"You!" Vegeta called just for both of them, and they turned to stand up straight and firm, "Don't you have those Senzu beans with you?"

"N-not really, this caught us off guard" Krillin replied scratching his head and Vegeta grunted when he heard him.

"Hmph, anyway, I want to see those androids that are taking on Kakarot and Raditz" Vegeta stated, taking off quickly.

Nappa followed, and then Yamcha, Krillin, and Tien. Everything indicated that the real fight was the one that was taking place now on Mount Paoz.

17 looked surprised at Goku as he dodged one of his attacks, "Aren't you going to transform into something called a Super Saiyan?"

"First I like to check the level of my enemies" the saiyan replied with a smile.

"Oh, to have said it before" 17 wiped the smile from him and appeared in front of Goku planting a punch in his abdomen followed by a powerful kick.

But nevertheless, Goku stopped his leg before 17 hit his side. 17 was surprised how Goku's hair turned golden instantly.

"So, are we done warming up yet?" 17 asked with a smile and Goku looked at him the same way, his turquoise eyes shining.

"Of course!" Goku exclaimed throwing 17's body into the air followed by a few bursts of energy that the android began to deflect.

Goku appeared in front of him and punched him in the cheek, but 17 rallied and punched back with considerably more force.

And both of them suddenly began an exchange of punches and blows equal in force until they landed. Raditz and 18 did the same.

"You don't need help, do you?" Goku asked smirking, and Raditz glared at him.

"Call me crazy, but I don't think these guys are our enemies," Raditz stated.

He wasn't just saying it, 18 could have finished him off in more than one move but he didn't.

"No, no, actually I feel the same way. What's more, I don't notice any hostility in your attacks" Goku pointed out with a slight smile, "Maybe we could…"

Goku couldn't finish his words when he suddenly felt a freakishly high energy that made both him and Raditz shake.

"W-what is that?" Raditz asked flustered.

"I-I've never felt such a high Ki, who is it?" Goku wondered and the answer appeared right in front of them.

He was a very strange looking being, green with black spots and a long tail. "You must be the powerful Son Goku, we finally meet!"

"W-who are you and how do you know my name?" Goku asked seriously, he had a bad feeling about this monster.

"Maybe this will jog your memory" said the being clasping both hands and Raditz raised an eyebrow, until he understood quickly, "Yin-Yang..!"

"Careful Kakarot!" Raditz yelled.

"Blast!" exclaimed that monstrosity, throwing a white sphere of black rays towards the place where Raditz and Goku were, puzzled.

The pair of brothers jumped avoiding the Yin-Yang blast, which continued on its way, destroying multiple mountains and forests in the process.

"Wh-what the hell happened?" Raditz was speechless, that attack was not so destructive but the surprising thing is that he knew how to do it.

"How come you know how to do Gohan's technique?!" Goku demanded, feeling between surprised, furious and confused by that.

"And that's not the only thing I know how to do, Son Goku" replied the being raising his hand, "Here's a present for you! Saturday crush!" he suddenly yelled.

Unexpectedly a wave of energy flew towards Raditz, who crossed his arms to parry the attack and then deflect it.

"Don't tell me you're surprised by such a simple attack" the creature said, crossing its arms with a superior smile on his face.

"Hey you! I don't know who you are but this is not your fight, so get out of here" 17 intervened angrily, and the beast turned to him smiling.

"Calm down, 18 and you will soon be part of me. Their fights will be my fights" the monster replied and 18 looked at him with great disgust.

"Damned!" Raditz yelled flying towards the being. No one had the right to replicate his attacks like that, he had only allowed Gohan.

"NO Raditz don't do it!" Goku gritted his teeth and followed his older brother. The two started attacking and hitting the monster.

However, none of his attacks were fruitful. Simply the strength of that creature was superior and they had no options.

"I expected more from you, and more from you Son Goku!" exclaimed the monster, taking the heads of the two, and crashing them together.

Both were left bleeding on their foreheads while that creature squeezed their necks. They tried to free themselves but the effort was useless.

"W-who are you?" Goku asked with a narrowed eye, not even against Cooler did he feel that useless. The difference in powers was absurd.

"My name is Cell" the monster called Cell replied with a smile as he created another Yin-Yang blast in his left hand.

17 clenched his fists and 18 bit his bottom lip. But unexpectedly a blast of energy hit Cell's back instantly.

Goku and Raditz's bodies fell to the ground because of this, and when Cell turned to see who was responsible he was in for a surprise.

It was Piccolo.
