Chapter 12

The sun was shining brightly in the sky as it ever could. I looked out of the window while studying magic but a feeling of fear dwelled inside of me, I knew how scary the marvel universe could be, maybe not as scary as DC universe but I was too weak as of right now in comparison to the forces which lurked the universe. I don't know why this feeling suddenly came upon me, but it did. I felt stronger and slightly safer after I had started to learn magic, but I was still afraid of what might happen.

Recently I feel like I've gotten too close to my family and that has increased my fears. I didn't want this to happen.

"Hello, Little Marcus I have a message from your Master." a voice suddenly came to me as I was studying magic in the library.

"Hello Master Shi."

"You'll have your your final exam to become a a full fledged Socerer in 2 months."

There were 3 stages in the final test. In the first round there would be a examiner who would tell a group of 10 to perform a spell and you would be graded on how well you made the spell. The next round was research, you had to choose a topic of your choice and submit it. The last round was a mission you had to carry out in the real world. After that they would look how you did overall even if you did badly in one round you could still pass the test by doing excellent in the others.

"Oh thank you for letting me know."

"Good then train hard. What will your research be on then?"

"I have been looking at the effect of dimensional energies on personal energies and the body." I had been greatly interested in the topic ever since I came across it since there were a lot of mutants out there with wild powers and many from my world had theorized that mutants and other beings got there powers from different dimensions. It was just a magic that Socerers hadn't understood. So in theory all powers in the universe were either magical or biological.

"That's quite risky honestly speaking, dimensional energies can have unpredictable effects on a person due to their nature and size. Dimensional energies from volatile or unstable dimensions can have disastrous effects and the methods to control these energies are mostly sacraficial and so are classed as dark magic. Be careful as to not study volatile dimensions, you might be kicked out."

"I'll keep that in mind, thank you for reminding me."

"Good I'll be off then."

I went back to study trying to find a solution to my problems. After a while I went home and started working electric toy car. I wish I hadn't left this for the last moment.
