After hearing these comments, Snape's face darkened. He gave Blake a hard look.
In a few words, this guy talked down about his ability to defeat Quirrell. It became a drill with a tacit understanding between the two sides.
The Slytherin students were almost pissed off. Obviously, their dean won!
How did that not come out of the mouth of this bastard, and it became a discussion between the two sides?
When Quirrell saw Blake, a feeling of gratitude rose in his heart.
'What a good boy, with high talent. What's his future with Dumbledore? I have to quickly pull him into the master's camp. Let him turn from darkness to light!'
If Blake was honest, he didn't care what anybody thought. As long as his interests were met, he was fine. He harvested a wave of treasure chests from everyone's reaction with satisfaction and then went on to remind Quirrell,
"Professor, it's time for the students to come up and practice. You and Professor Snape can sit by and guide us."
Quirrell nodded repeatedly. "Ah yes yes yes! It's up to you guys!"
"Anyone willing to volunteer to come up and give it a try against?"
The little wizards in the audience raised their hands excitedly. Everyone wanted to come up and show their skills.
Snape turned and looked at the group of Slytherins for a moment. Then he got close, grabbed Malfoy by the collar, and lifted him up.
Malfoy stood proudly on the stage. Then he turned his gaze to Harry Potter on the opposite stage. Obviously, his goal was to face...
"Blake!" Snape said.
"As the chairman of the dueling club, you will be the first to demonstrate how wizards should duel," Snape said, slipping Quirrell's wand back into Quirrell's hand.
Draco Malfoy on the other side was really shocked,
'You could have asked me to fight anyone, but why the hell are you asking me to fight Blake?'
'Aren't you my father's good friend? Why are you trying to kill me!?'
"No...professor, actually I want to fight with..."
"It's the same with whoever demonstrates." Snape cut Malfoy off coldly. Then he looked at Malfoy with iron eyes.
His thinking was actually the same as that of many people present. That was Blake, though gifted in many subjects. But the duelling thing. So Blake might not be necessarily good at it, like Quirrell.
When Quirrell was studying he was in Ravenclaw but was very prone to bullies who bullied him.
Did this mean that he was not talented?
Not really, but he did not have enough fighting experience to excel in duelling.
So while Blake was talented though, he was born in the Muggle world.
He had only been exposed to magic for a few months. Not even the original Quirrell was this handicapped!
And Malfoy, although he was also a first-year, he came from a wizard family.
He had been exposed to magic spells since he was very young. He must have mastered a lot of these easy and hard spells.
A little wizard who has been exposed to magic since childhood. How could he not defeat a little Muggle-born wizard?
In his day and age, those little Muggle-born wizards were doormats!
As for why Snape could know so clearly? It was because he didn't know how many fights he had with bastards from such a pure-blooded wizard family back then!
Especially the one from the Potter family and the one from the Black family.
Malfoy looked at Blake. And that long, thick iron rod in his hand... er... wand.
He almost cried out loud.
The last time they had a scuffle back on the train, all the spells Malfoy knew couldn't help him.
"Ahem, Professor Snape, isn't this bad?" Blake gave Malfoy a pitying look.
"That's right! That's really not appropriate!" Malfoy said. He lowered his voice, speaking in a voice only Snape could hear.
"He hit me on the train before, you don't know!"
Snape frowned, "Now you have a wand!"
What Snape meant was very simple, that is, Blake relied on the strength of his body back then and Malfoy was defenceless at the time.
But now,
Malfoy had a wand and could use spells. Blake also had to duel with a wand. He couldn't rely on his frightening strength!
"Are you worried that you won't be able to defeat Blake just in a duelling competition?"
Malfoy was a little stunned, "But is it... really okay?"
"Don't talk nonsense! Don't you want to save face?"
Malfoy glanced at Cassandra in the audience. Then the confidence in his heart came back a little.
'Yeah, if it is just a few spell spells, I'm not bad!'
"Then... let's do it!"
Malfoy held his wand and stared at Blake intently. Blake sighed. Holding the wand in his right hand, he rested it lightly on the palm of his left hand.
"Okay... since you insist. Then... let's get started."
Blake stood in front of Malfoy. Snape and Quirrell each stood behind them.
On the one hand, as they just said, they needed to guide the two. On the other hand, they had to cast a spell to prevent littering of attacks that would hit the audience in the audience.
Blake and Malfoy exchanged salutes. Then Malfoy waved his wand first and used a spell.
Blake tipped his head slightly. The spell just brushed past his ear. He didn't even need to change his standing posture against a rookie like Malfoy!
Blake didn't even need to use his knowledgeable arrogance. Very easily, he predicted where his spell would fall.
Seeing Blake dodging Malfoy's spell with ease, Snape's brow furrowed. A bad emotion rose in my heart.
The last time, he saw this. Someone who can deal with an opponent's spells so easily in a duel. It was Voldemort back then!
There was only one possibility for this to happen and that was when the strength gap between the two sides was too large.
Until now, he still remembered the shocked expression of the Auror who attacked Voldemort back then.
'Could it be that...'
Blake sighed, "Is there any more? If you don't come, I'll have to make my move."
The fear that had just been suppressed in Malfoy's heart immediately rose again!
The frightened Malfoy directly released the strongest spell he could.
A black poisonous snake fell onto the duelling platform with a plop! After the snake landed, it rushed towards Blake quickly!
"Ah!" All the little wizards in the audience screamed.
Snape stepped out, "Let me handle it."
But before he could even raise his wand, he just saw Blake wave his wand lightly.
"Evanesco!"
"Whoosh..."
The poisonous snake on the duel stage disappeared instantly and Snape's pupils shrunk.
After seeing that Blake could actually use the Vanishing spell, which was already an advanced spell, he knew he had underestimated Blake's strength.
"It seems that it was not appropriate for a first-year student to practice against you. Flint, you come and practice with him." Snape said to the audience.
A tall Slytherin boy climbed onto the ring in no time. Then looked at Blake maliciously and laughed. Blake frowned.
'This guy Snape was so shameless. He actually found a senior student to fight with him?'
Blake said calmly: "Professor Snape, I'm just a little wizard in the first grade. I don't have the kind of power that can challenge the seniors.
