One by one, she dropped them inside the hollow lighter case. When she finished, she looked to Ross. "Why don't you take a nap while I do this? Then I want to go to the American Express office and transfer some funds to traveler's checks."
He stifled a yawn. "Okay. I am a little beat. All this globetrotting wears a fellow out."
"You don't regret what we're doing?"
"No, not at all. I told you I'm in it for the long haul. Besides, what else do I have to do but try and get a new job ifand that's a big ifI ever land on my feet again. Not that I want to any time soon. I enjoy having my head in the clouds as long as you're up here with me."
"You will, Ross," she affirmed with a small sigh," and me, too. We'll come down together...eventually."
